Im 21 and have had type 1 diabetes since i was 16. I currently take insulin shots for every meal i eat. People have been telling me to get an insulin pump as it would make my blood sugar lower. I honestly dont test as much as i should and about 160-200 is where i usually run. Anyways would it be beneficial to get a pump? also here are some of my questions that noone can ever answer for me.
First if you have a pump when is it okay to take it off?
Does it get in the way when doing activites such as sports or sex?
Is it usually a turn off to girls?
Does it greatly lower blood sugars than an insulin pen?
Also any other tips on how to lower blood sugar? I dont really eat too many sweets just eat alot of carbs i guess.

I can only offer advice on how to lower your blood sugar. I don't eat lots of sweets either. I exercise for at least 45 minutes a day or more and drink around 16 glasses of water a day. I measure all my water using glasses from a gas station (measures out how many ounces are there and it works out just fine). 3nodding Hope this helps a little. heart
