Harbinger aka "Harby"

Type of Kage: Female Temporal
Edits: Not necessary.
Details: Her coloring was based on autumn colors; autumn leaves in the middle of changing, so that they had the red/gold/brown as well as a bit of the deep green left, then kind of a dark brown fading slowly into a light orange that seem to tinge a lot of things in autumn, and then dark earth with golden overtones. Autumn leaves was meant to be for a more decorative set of coloring on parts like manes and wings, with the earthen color for horns and claws and parts like that (or scaly parts), and the brown to orange for the main body color. The exact placement and amount of shiny has varied depending on what the pet design offered. XD; The basic principals would apply here, though I want all three fairly visible.


This is the original design base that I made when I was figuring out how I wanted the Gryps version of Harby to look. I won the auction for the lineart and decided that was the sort of scheme I wanted for it.


This is Gryps Harby, and you can see how her design played out based on the lineart design. I liked her and the coloring so much I decided to try and get other pets with the design, but so far I've only actually managed to acquire one. I guess I'm kind of particular with what sort of pets I want her on, at least moreso than I am with Dach. XD;


This is the Aerithe Kirin version of Harby. She is much shinier! I don't mind the shinier, it worked well for her in that shop.

The Ancient Phoenix
Many Souls Sharing One Birthright

Type of Kage: Female Priestly
Edits: Not necessary.
Details: Those who bear the color and markings of the ancient phoenix are a chosen few blessed by a goddess. They generally bear the power of Foresight, and sometimes a power of great Healing. They also innately know and instinctually follow the will of the goddess; this is generally to protect the innocent. The more warrior minded souls with the gift are often drawn to seek out and defeat the truly evil-minded that would cause harm in the first place. This particular concept, unlike the others, isn't based around a specific character, but is rather something that effects several. I've got several names and personalities in this set... and while none of them are evil, not all of them are exactly nice. XD The important things with this the color patterning here are that the beak/muzzle and the feet are like a solid charcoal gray, and where the charcoal is on the other areas has sort of a mottled rainbow shimmer over it; kind of like gasoline spilled on pavement, or maybe light reflecting off of soapy water? I'm pretty sure the firey main body and the eye-rape rainbow parts speak for themselves, though. XD And the bright purple eyes.

This is actually the original image all of this started with. It was my first attempt to completely CG color an image I'd drawn and scanned in. It's almost ten years old, and looks horrible, but it's the only thing that actually shows all of the main symbol-markings that I've got.


This is my Kitsusagi in the theme, Seer; she was one of the first ones that turned out more like I'd meant for it to look, though the rainbow parts are a bit darker than I'd have wanted. She just sort of shows how I usually have the markings placed on critters with four legs and wings, although I'm not sure it'll matter as much since you can't see a whole lot of the top part of the legs on the female temporal art.


This is Kheelee, I colored her myself in the same CYO event I did the version of Ebon on the matching lineart. This is how I really want the colors, I hope you don't mind the eye-rapey. Though I have started to get the feeling you kind of have fun doing eye-rapey sometimes. XD

Darkside, the Shadow of Fear

Type of Kage: Male Elder Hell Kage
Edits: These will be many, and might be kind of a pain, so I'm sorry. I'm kind of particular about him, though. XD; Anyway; there's the shadow tendril mane, the twisted wings, the long talons, and I would like the digits on the end of his tail to have the same sort of jagged twisting effect to some degree. Whether you want to do talons on the hind feet as well or the weird "boots" I could flip a coin over, so whichever you'd rather do. I think the Kage lineart probably wouldn't support the giant heart-shaped hole in the chest, so you can just use a "shape" there... The other edit, and you can't see it as well on the two pets already done, is the Hollow Heart pendant. It's a dull iron pendant, a heart-shaped outline, and it's attached to a black chord with gold beads spaced out around the length. The beads are either little round balls or the longer more oval-shaped kind; they don't have any edges. And while not an edit, him having a Heartless symbol on his hip is pretty important. XD;
Details:

Darkside's an interesting bugger for me, his exact background from shop to shop changes to fit the scenery, so to speak. But he usually has the ability to fade into shadows and fire dark energy balls. He can function in bright light and sunlight, but his shadow powers are limited. Say he fades into the shadows to hide, or try to get the drop on someone; but then a bright light exposes him. No more shadows = he can't hide in them anymore. Not that he isn't dangerous enough without that. XD; Whether he's truly a bad entity, or had a good streak, seems to depend on his developement from world to world. Generally speaking you're safe as long as he finds you entertaining or useful, but he's always dangerous, but how dangerous depends on how irritated, or bored, or hungry he is. XD;

I'll see if the shadow-fading and energy balls are all right with you before I make any plans in that department.


This is the NACT version of Darkside; this was the first time I actually got him as a custom. I won a unique-lined custom for him at that. The little face in his pendant here is his Shadow Heartless familiar... it hangs out inside the Hollow Heart unless he needs it for something.

This is the uncert for my Kitsusagi version of Darkside. He has a familiar too, but it's on separate guardian lineart. I like the way Evion colored him, the details are a lot easier to make out than on the NACT one... so I'm hoping between the two you can get a fair grasp of what I'm aiming for.

Bereave, the Eldritch Bloodletter

Type of Kage: Hell Female
Edits: None.
Details: This is my little Bereave. Aside from wanting her main color scheme to remain intact and for the visible markings to remain where they are, I'm not going to be too picky if you want to add a few more marking, or even a touch of dark violet or something. Also her eyes are the same pale pink color as the inside of her markings, if you can't tell. The image is an enlargement of her cert image, I can't find her uncert if I ever even had it. :/
