I don't know what inspired me to go out and buy this cd, as 'Baby Girl' kind of annoys the hell out of me... but the album as a whole is EXCELLENT eek
I love the song "Mississippi"

So, it's not all like "Baby Girl" because that song makes me want to die.
"Dear mom and dad please send money I'm so broke and it ain't funny..."
Hmm. I'll have to wait to hear more of their stuff.

Hey, I happened to love that song! The rest of the CD ought to be interesting to hear...
And Sugarland is a district of Houston just an hour from where I live; apparently the band was named after a friend of theirs who lives here.

Bada Bing Hey, I happened to love that song! The rest of the CD ought to be interesting to hear... Sorry, I didn't mean to insult youi for liking it. I don't really enjoy the sound of most female voices and the lyrics of that song just bother me for some reason.

I've got a soft spot for that country twang in female voices (probably Jennifer's fault).

i actually like the song quite a bit... maybe its cuz i can relate to it right about now razz i sing to earn money to help raise money for college, and mom and dad are helping me out... i really would like to be some sort of musciain one day... hopefully a conductor, but i like the dream of being rich and famous and help to pay back mom and dad for all they've done for me... and im definitely their baby girl!
who doesnt dream of such a thing? smile

"Baby Girl" is way overplayed in Colorado. if you want to find out for yourself, listen on KYGO.com I got sick of it really quickly, but otherwise, I really like Sugarland. It's just that song that bugs the hell out of me.

I rather like Sugarland. Their song "Baby Girl" is all right, I memorized it because it's overplayed. I really like their newer song, "Something More".

Have they started playing Down In Sugarland anywhere outside of Houston yet? I don't think it was on their first CD, but it was the song that gave the band their name and is my favorite of theirs so far.
