When Christ truly rules.
What can a man do, when you have the Lord on you're side?
To God be the glory for all things great and small!
Acts ch.5, verses 34 -38/ basically-if it is of God you can't stop it, if it is not of the Lord then it will fall under it's own weight.(paraphrasing those verses.)
Give me the gold! What? Don't judge me, I just want the gold for voting is all.

Blessings and peace is my prayer for everyone of the family of God.
Greetings again in the precious name of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

Much has been said and written about the behavior of Christians over the years, but the Apostle Paul, wrote many of the very best words.
Please allow me to direct your attentions, once again, to 1st Thessalonians, chapter 5, beginning in verse 12.

Paul reminds us that all the leaders of the body of Christ are to walk, talk, and behave with humility and grace.
The spiritual leaders of our church are to be selfless, united in the service of Christ, and to treat all the people with dignity, respect, love, and compassion.
We are called to put Christ first; others second, and ourselves last.
We are to comfort the weak and feeble minded. (some say I need a lot of help in that area. lol smile wink )

The scriptures direct us to rejoice evermore!
There is no reason for us not to rejoice as we serve our risen Savior and Lord.
Jesus did for us, what we could never have done for ourselves.
Christ our Lord and Savior, redeemed us.
He paid the price for our freedom from hell and for our adoption into the eternal family of God.

We are exhorted to pray without ceasing.
How can we do this?
Is it possible to walk around sixteen hours of every day with a prayer on our lips?
I'm persuaded that is not what Paul meant.
Paul was telling us that our entire lives; our work, our play, our driving, shopping, casual conversations and meaningful dialogue with others, ought to reflect the person, the attributes and the nature of God.

Giving thanks for everything sounds like a tall order, but even in dire circumstances we can give thanks and praise to the God of creation for giving us the grace to get through the storms of life.

The final item, I'd like to share with you is this;
"Quench not the Spirit!"
We, as imperfect and falible creatures, tend to try to move ahead of the Holy Spirit.
We tend to be impatient people who pray for the guidence of the Holy Ghost and then attempt to do things our own way.

May I earnestly urge us all to listen to the Holy Spirit, wait on His orders to proceed in certain directions, and learn to be patient.
A little patience and understanding of each other is not a bad idea either.

Let's us all agree to seek God's perfect will in the things we do at home and in the sanctuary, and in this guild, so that we might better honor our Lord and our God.
Let us lay aside our personal agendas (If any of us has an agenda) and allow Christ to rule and reign in our lives.

May God continue to lead, guide, and illuminate our footsteps, that we may serve Him with greater love and devotion, and that we might always bring Him honor.

Your brother in Christ,
Philip - The Hudson Hawk.

This is all so true to today. The world is going the way of Babolonia and Saddam and ghamorra and tbh if the Lord doesnt come back soon; I'm afraid he will have to apologize for wiping out all those dens of sin.

This was very well written and thought out, I applaud you Hawk for doing this and sharing it with us all here.

I would like to add James 5:20, as well as Ephesians 5:15-17 to it all if I may.
I won't go into detail, but for those of you who have access to the Holy Bible, look them up and let them sink in some.

God bless you all and have a blessed weekend!

You're brother in Jesus Christ our Risen Lord and Savior!,

Y'all would be amazed at how much grace and glory that y'all would have if ya just turn it all over to God and lean on Him for every thing in your life.
Its a great thing to have and behold and talk about the peace that passes all understanding; you'll know what that is when you truly trust in the Lord for all things that go on in your life.
Huggles y'all!,

I was just thinking about this the other day. smile I've been trying to break habits from back when I was spiritually weak and praying to God to help me with them so I can set a good example for other Christians here. Just by reading your post, I'm even more encouraged to keep it up, so I can devote my life to the Lord. Thank you so much for this post! heart

This prayer really spoke to me. I have so many issues going on in life, and I just want to live for the Lord and do His will, setting an example of Christ to non-believers including my family, but I am a terrible Christian. I sin everyday and I do not do the Lord's will, some days I'm sad and want to stay in bed.
I ask for your prayers that I will do the Lord's will (what an honor, really!) and grow into the spiritual woman He wants me to be. I want to be an example of Christ to the world, but I'm so terrible at it >.<
As for wanting to do things MY way instead of God's way: I really want a husband, I'm 18, young but that's my heart's desire, just to find God's match for me, but I think God maybe wants me to wait, and to lean on Him before wanting to be joined at the hip to another man.

You will be just fine my friend. We All Fall Short of the Glory of God. It is a fact of being human. The key is to recognize our mistakes and ask God to forgive us of our sins.
Secondly, We must ask God to give us the wisdom to know what is right from what is wrong, and to ask for the Lord's grace and guidence to know the difference and to do what is right by leaning on Him and having the Holy Spirit dwell inside of us to be our moral and Godly indicator in this walk of life.
And thirdly, After we have asked the Lord to forgive us of our sins, we need to stop beating ourselves up so much about having done them and in as much as the Lord has forgiven and forgotten our sins, and has cast them as far as the east is from the west; We must also forgive ourslves. Remember the lessons that we learned so that we can recognize the signs that would bring us back to whatever caused us to sin in the first place, and to pray to the Lord for His ability to detour us from doing the same sins over and over again; and to simply rest in the Lord's arms to carry us over those rough patches, and to lean on Him and to wait on Him to provide for us all of our needs instead of trying to do it ourselves.
I know a man who's parents have been married almost sixty years. His parents found each others soul mates in this life by waiting on the and trusting in God to send them the right person who was the missing piece of thepuzzle of their lives; and the Lord did bring them together. Lord willing they will have been married for 60 years come April 2014.
Their son, who wanted so badly to have what his parents had found, decided at a very young age of 23 to get married. He did not wait on the Lord to give him the woman that was his soul mate. His first marriage lasted 4 1/2 yr's and the woman he married ran off with another man.
Feeling rejected, he fell into his second marriage a few short months after the finalization of his divorce. His 2nd marriage lasted only 41/2 yr's as well.
Finally this young man waited, but the lust of the flesh and in his heart would not wait on the Lord and he married again a third time.
All was going well for him and he thought that by being a good, caring and providing husband in every way possible that the Lord had finally given him the one that he was suppose to be with for life.
His third marriage lasted 13 1/2 years, she left him and they stayed seperated for 4 years until finally after her refusing any sort of Christian or otherwise type of marriage counseling, she flaunted her lover in his face to the point of driving him to file for the divorce.
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
The moral of this story that is true, is that we should all wait on the Lord and to pray earnestly seeking His way and wisdom and glory in all matters.
Whether it is a spouse, or a house, or a car, or wanting to travel afar.
If God is not in it, then neither should we be in it.
(BTW-The young man that I was speaking of is still a big romantic at heart, and even though he has struck out in his own persuit of finding his soul mate - He stays in constant prayer that the Lord will find him the missing piece to the puzzle of his heart one of these days. But only when the good Lord decides it, and puts His seal on it will he ever get involved in any way with any females. But he still is hopeful and he has learned to lean fully on the Lord for all things in his life.

My prayers are with you my young friend, as well as with you're mother whom you said has cancer, and my prayers are with you to be a bold and caring witness to you're father when you see him, and my prayers are with you in finding the missing pice of the puzzle of you're life for the rest of you're life here on this earth.
Just wait on the Lord for all things, always!
You're brother in the family of God,
Philip - the hawk
