Ok, I have wanted to work a Disney Land for, well, ever. I know there are some cast members in this guild so I was wondering what would I have to do to become a Cast member or something I can do to improve my chances, thanks.

I'm not one, but I'd like to work at Disney at some point. I would that you should make sure that you are very child friendly. And then you need to decide what you need to do. If your going to try out to wear character suits, you should probably brush up on good body movements. If your going to be a greeter/waiter/waitress/whatever, have some expierence. If your going to work the consession stands, learn to be people friendly because you'll run into just about as many jerks as you do friendly people. If your going to seat the rides and such, make sure you know what to say and how to handle situations.
I would think working for Disney, which has so many people, you should consider getting certified for CPR, because it would probably come in handy seeing as Florida/California are both hot locations. I believe even Disneyland stays mild year-round.
Knowing some basic Spanish or being fluent would also be looked at, and I'm sure if you knew Spanish or another language you would be moved leagues ahead of other job contenders.

Honestly, Disney is in something of a hiring crisis right now, so if you're not, like, a criminal, you have a pretty good chance of getting hired. It's probably not as bad at DLR as it is at WDW where I work, but still.

I strongly recommend the WDW College Program; it's a great way to get started at Disney. You sign up, and they give you a job, a place to live, and transportation. It's a pretty sweet deal. biggrin

(I believe there's a DLR CP too, but it doesn't include housing or transportation, so it's kind of like what's the point?)

What are you talking about.... Disney is very picky when it comes to cast members For instance... You cant have facial peircings or tounge or anything like that... Only Ear... You have to have certain hairstyles... Dreads arent allowed. The WDW college program has more info.
