What do you do in a guild when both the Captain and the co-captain seem to have abandoned the guild? I am a crew member and tried to keep things running for a while but don't really have the athority to make any decisions or power to change anything, and the guild is dying. I look at thier profiles and they haven't even logged in.
It is a poll guild so I could just keep making polls trying to keep it alive but what's the use if it is abandoned?
Any thoughts?

You could ask them if they would sell it to you for a cheap amount of gold then change the forum to one you want it to be. Like if I started a guild I would start one where adults can go and have fun without people breathing down their necks for every little post they make in good jest. Or you could let it die, cause without the captain and co cap you cant do too much honestly. It is sad though when a guild dies due to lack of care from the people who started it.

Problem is the captain hasn't logged in in over a month and when he did he didn't even look at my PM. and hasn't been posting in the guild for longer. His co-captain hasn't logged in all month, and hasn't been in the guild all year (or longer).

It sounds like you have the best interests of the guild at heart hun. I think you would be a great guild owner and should go for it if it is something you really want to save from becoming history. What I don't understand is why they would let their own guild croak off??? They paid a lot of gold to start it, then put loads of time and effort into it to get it to this point. Then they abandoned it??? It really makes no sense unless something is going on in RL that has taken both the cap and co cap away from Gaia. Do you happen to know if they are related in RL? They could have family issues or what not. I would send a pm and ask if they are ok(I know you pm'ed once, but it might be answered this time ya never know.) and ask if they either want to have you help more, or sell it. You seem to honestly care what happens which means the guild would be going into good hands. Best of luck sweetie I hope this works out in a positive manner for you and the guild. BTW which guild is it?

MD I was stating that if I were to start a guild that is the kind of guild I would start. Which I will never be a guild owner because I do not have the time to devote to it. Running a guild properly takes more time and care then I want to invest in anything but my family and other personal aspects of my life. I view a guild as sort of being a parent, you start it from scratch, watch it grow, take care of it daily, then hope the growth continues in a positive direction on its own. Like I said I do not have the time or the desire to devote that much of myself to anything outside of my personal life, child, or home.

The guild saga continues, and I think one of the one crew and I (who tried to rally the troops) are going to give up. I just can't see putting so much effort into something that i can't control. I will put the effort into the guild that I am a vice captian of, even though it is just over the RP section.
If anyone likes to RP let me know.
