So this is where the people in SOUL or the people interesting SOUL or people who feel like talkin' 'boot such things can relax. Home, as they say, is where you hang your enemy's head; therefore, this is not home, but instead something totally different: an Out-of-Character chat thread.

Sorry for sub-perfect last two things. Will edit later. For now, is 7 a.m., which is Pass Out Time after shower time.

It is only fair, explodingstaples, that if your character is as nuts as you're establishing, this may lead to some... irregular handling.

That's totally understandable. I already saw the administrative addendum, and I actually liked it. I didn't even mean to make him this nuts, I just like to play crazy characters. Makes everything a little more fun, I think. But, yeah, do whatever it is you have to.

For your eddification on my last post in case there is any confusion: What I mean, here, is each note you hear in the opening strains - "Secrets" can be felt as being in either 4/4 or 4/2, depending on whether you feel it's more desperate or more powerful.

Staples, is it safe to assume that Nathaniel is heading towards the debriefing room? Richard plans to ask him a question when he sees him.

Interjection: Why are folks giving Niko so much s**t? His officer (Eamon) ordered pursuit, the order wasn't countermanded by a non-Illuminated (Rachel or the other driver or Damien), and Niko's powers are all about pursuit and not in any way about guarding trucks. He did exactly what he was supposed to until [REDACTED] happened and forced the fight. I don't get what people are ragging on him for - he followed orders and got taken down by KNOCK KNOCK INTERRUPTING TRUMP CARD MAGIC when he tried to help Jake Uso after Uso got jumped while also following the pursuit order.
Also, it's probably important to note now (for anyone who wasn't clear on it) that any non-Illuminated member of SOUL may issue orders to Illuminated in relevant matters (judgment call where this applies) and may override the orders of Illuminated field officers (again, judgment call).

Richard's giving him s**t because he doesn't know that Niko's specialty was tracking. As far as he's concerned, Niko rushed in to fight the Black Phantom, which he views as a poor decision. Richard also views being in the same building or engaging in melee with a being with demon-like abilities and a sword that can cut through armored cars as a very poor decision. Which also falls back to Richard thinking Niko was going inside to attack, not track, the BP.
None of Richard's distaste towards characters should be taken personally. Separation of IC and OoC knowledge and whatnot.

I think it's because Eamon's order seemed a little open ended. I read it as more of a general call to action rather than an order for one person. Nathaniel isn't really giving him s**t, other than thinking Niko was a little weak. In Nathaniel's opinion, it was a death to be proud of. Sure, he wanted Niko to hang back to help with the car, but he isn't really talking s**t.
What I don't understand is the ragging that Nathaniel is getting. Sure, he did go a little off his rocker, but he saw Eamon's order as open ended, he deemed the car adequately protected by Strings (Who's posts nobody other than Jake and Nathaniel seemed to pay attention to during the fight) and Richard, and he followed the order of his commanding officer. A little over eager to chase the thing, but he was technically following an order.

Oh, my bad. Uh, Nathaniel is actually on his way to the cafeteria, but I'll speed him on over to the debriefing room.
