TEAM NOT A WITCH'S MEGA ELITE ENDGAME SANDCASTLE.

AKA SANDCROWN CITADEL

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
(click for video)

original castle
TEAM MEMBERS: AYMET DOING COLD s**t (Iizbot/Improbability)
THACKERY BEING A DOG (Nothing Yet/nothingtet)
ASH DOING STUFF I CAN'T TALK ABOUT ON GAIA (unstartled witch/witch)

GENERAL SANDCASTLE STATS

TOTAL HP: 0 HP
TOTAL OFFENSE 0
TOTAL DEFENSE: 0
TOTAL STABILITY: 2
ENVIRONMENT ITEMS USED: Sea Urchin (+10 HP, -3 stability), Pearl (Instantly repairs your Sandcastle back to 100% HP, -15 stability point)

SIGNATURE and BONUS items

NOTHING : (

DAILY STATUS EFFECT

OOC MECHANICS: THE KRAKEN

- Please note the "KRAKEN" does indeed surround the entire island. Each of its arms/tentacles is large enough to destroy exactly three and a half sandcastles.

APPLYING PRIOR DAMAGE AND ITEMS FIRST:

-APPLYING DAMAGE: Before any groups continue on to the boss, they should make sure that their sandcastle survived last round. If your group DID NOT achieve 10/15/20 full foundation points as requested by number of team members, they take 50% damage of REMAINING HP to their castle. Apply this damage before you begin the kraken boss mechanics.
- EXAMPLE: My team has a group of 4. I need 15/15 stability points, but my team only managed 13/15. Our castle has 50/150 HP. I take -25 damage. That means our castle has 25/150 HP left.
-USING AN ITEM: If your team has NOT USED their SEA TURTLE or PEARL, they may choose to use it now. The SEA TURTLE will automatically be used whenever your HP dips to 0, but please make sure to note it in the main post of the thread. IF you choose to use the pearl now, apply the HP fix before the boss wave, otherwise you will have to calculate boss damage first and then, if your castle is standing, you can use the pearl. You cannot use either of the items during the boss fight, only either before (now) or after it.

BONUS CASTLE STATS:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Red Herring. The Red Herring swims back, and it has brought all of its friends, from China, Russia, and Arizona, but not really Canada, cuz like, even though its flag may be red and stuff, its not really a communist, how could you even accuse such an awesome country?! You're just jealous you're not a communist Canadian aren't you well you know what-

- Okay I derailed sorry. It brings back its friends and recovers your castle back to full HP. This mechanic must be used PRIOR TO THE BOSS FIGHT.

BONUS: GOING DOWN WITH A BANG

If your sandcastle falls rather dramatically thanks to either being unable to defeat the boss or the boss literally sinking your castle, please edit your sandcastle to its beautiful vandalised image. Doing so might earn you some interesting group bonus points.

It turned out that Aymet and 'the sun' didn't go together very well. This was his fourth time i the Human World but the first time he'd ever been there in the daytime. It was easy to see why it wasn't everyone's idea of a good time. It was hot here, so horribly hot, and bright. He was getting sand in places that all the fleshy living types couldn't even imagine. His natural ability was straining to churn out enough unnatural cold to keep his temperature down. If his innate A/C broke, he could say goodbye to the magic binding his bones together.

When they reached their designated area, the dracolich slumped forward in the sand and lay there as if re-dead. The phylactery around his neck pulsed faintly with self-pity. "I'm not gonna make it..."

Ash was sweltering under his collar, but at least he wasn't unnaturally cold and trying to stay that way. The Reaper nearly tripped over Aymet's prone form, stumbling to stop himself.

"We must proceed," he said sternly, leaning down to scoop the other boil up.

They were about the same height, sure-- but Ashford's natural ability was raw, brute strength.

Ash carried him bridal style before promptly tossing him into the nearby sea. "Cool down here. We insist."

Wearing the Deal With It shades from his early days at Amityville, one of his midriff-bearing shirts, and a pair of pajama shorts, Thackery may have (generally...mostly) looked like he was set for the beach, but not particularly set to be the king of a sand castle. This lack of continuity was bothersome, but not enough to deny that he'd rather bask in the warm, delicious sunlight instead of being royalty today.

He sipped gingerly on some kind of iced drink as he watched Ash carry Aymet into the water. Poor Aymet. The Cerberus trailed behind his boilfriend to the water's edge, where he kneeled to pat the dracolich on the head.

"Shh, you'll probably live," he offered sympathetically, taking another sip of his cold...oh. Frowning, he slooowwly tipped the sticky ice-and-juice mixture over onto Aymet. He might have just saved his life, but it was no big deal or anything.

"Okay. Let's make this castle thing happen!"

As Ash set to work on the general sandish parts of their sand castle, Thackery went to fetch one of their items from the gnomes. He hoped that they wouldn't pull on his tail or try to eat his legs again. They were really becoming very troubling little things. He very nearly obtained a bucket of water for Aymet's sake, until he remembered that Aymet was already in the water. Oh, right. That wouldn't really help.

So he returned with a red fish - he thought the gnome had called it a "hair thing" - because Ash liked red, and that made a decent amount of sense. Because there wasn't a well-trained Cerberus to guard the entrance to their castle, the red hair thing took its place, watching on with glassy eyes. It didn't do anything when Thackery approached the boundary of the castle, and the boil seemed particularly pleased with that.

"Good job, hair thing!" he praised it, glad that it knew who was allowed around the castle.

As Ash continued his work, Thackery thought that it was about time to open their little container to discover what sort of helpful bounty was within. He sure hoped it was a minipet...so he was more than a little disappointed when he opened it to find bread crumbs.

"Uh, guys, our thing for being really good at guessing is...bread crumbs," he called out to his teammates, letting the hardened bits of bread tumble into his cupped hand. Maybe they could work like hellfire and brimstone if they pretended extremely hard and spread the crumbs around the perimeter of the castle.

The water must have been cold enough to make unlife worth unliving. Aymet came splashing back up after a minute, sending salt water everywhere and churning up sand with his huge claws.

He hit his head a few times to dislodge some miscellaneous sea life from his eye socket. He had to wonder for a minute how the spiny purle thing had even fit in there. Huh. It looked pretty cool though.

"Hey Thackery, catch!" Aymet lobbed the sea urchin at the cerberus.

"Catch...?" Thackery turned towards Aymet, wondering what he could possibly be throwing at him, only to have something distinctly spiny collide with his face.

"Ouch! Bad prickleball!" He angrily plucked the urchin off of the beach and gave it a thumb with his thumbnail. That would teach it. "Thanks, Aymet! You just keep not dying out there, okay?" Offering a thumbs-up to the dracolich, he returned to the castle to place the sea urchin just above the door.

The structure was there, the finishing touches just beginning to come together. But the tower on top seemed just a little empty. Frowning, he considered what would look The Most Awesome all the way up there. A shell? No, everyone probably had shells. A bird? No, no. It would probably destroy everything with those weird little feet. Maybe...he fished in his pocket, little bits of sand catching under his fingernails, triumphantly recovering a shiny little sphere that rolled into the palm of his hand. This solidified shiny bubble! It would work excellently.

That tower was a little high up, though. Without a second thought, he hopped onto Ash's back and climbed up onto his shoulders as if he'd had way, way too much practice at this, and stretched over to place the pearl atop the castle, nestling it into the soft sand there. It held the bubble perfectly, just like it was meant to go there!

When it was all done, he stood back to admire their kingdom. First paper flyers, now sand...next time it would be a real castle.

Instead of visiting the other castles, Thackery stood guard over their own with pride. He'd plopped down in front of the entrance and was positioning the fish in the most proper guardian positions, ensuring that they would have no intruders. Proper guardian stuff was really important - dead hair thing or not, he was going to make sure it did it right.

Ash stood back, gloved hands on his waist. "Excellent touches, Thackery, we approve," the reaper murmured affirmatively.

Jack, he was sweltering under the helm...but he had a patch on his cheek, now.

It would not do to show the world.

Ash growled deep in his throat, circling around the sand castle, drawing a circle in the sand around it. "Everyone must stay away. We don't want them nearby."

It was, perhaps, for the best, that the general crowd had avoided them. neutral

Ash did not think he could deal with Franziska, his mother, at this time. Or with Henry Ashford Charles the second.

He had seen them...and had ran. He and the voices did not wish to be wrest away from their home. Oh no.

"This is gonna be awesome!" Aymet called from the edge of the water, where he was lurking half in and half out of the water. He wasn't leaving till he absolutely had to.

Unlike the others, Aymet hadn't seen any signs of his family. No sharply-dressed, no-nonsense reapers had come by to tip some of the ash out of their pipe, straighten Aymet's jacket, and offer him a manly handshake of support. Nor did any come by to check their makeup in a hand mirror, try to tame his unruly dreadlocks, and sigh when it proved futile.

Oh, well, they were probably there, just being their polite, formal selves over with the other spectators.

Closer inspection of the Trial footage later would reveal they never even came.

WAVE 1: CRABS, CRABBBBBBBBBBBBS HP 20/20

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Scuttling right towards the team was an army of oversized crabs, their pincers waving menacingly. They were ready to destroy all things sand and castle related.

CRAB DEFENSE MECHANICS:

CRAB VERSUS THE CASTLE

Seagulls come out and start attacking the crabs, attracted by the bread crumbs! They are angered but move away from the castle!

CRAB VERSUS THE CONTESTANTS

- EVEN IF THE SEAGULLS STOP THE CRABS, you still need to delegate them away from your castle, so they do not hurt YOU. There is nothing stopping it from hurting YOU.
- Roll NORMALLY (no Fear charges), 2d6 -6 if you are a Y1, 2d8 - 6 if you are a Y2 to determine your damage AGAINST THE CRABS. Year 1's have 30 HP, Y2's have 40.
- The crab has a sum total of 20 HP. Every time you hit the crab, you take 5 damage. If your TEAM LEADER is KO'ed your group is disqualified!
- You can hit the crab as many times as needed until it is dead. If your crab is not dead by the end of the OOC 24 hours/ one round, the crab will berserk and take out half your sandcastle's HP.
- To attack the crab, once again, roll your attack, WRITE UP YOUR RP POST, and subtract 5 from your HP every time. Make sure to also post at the bottom of your post Your total HP, the damage you do to the crab, and the crab's total (remaining HP.

Still caught up in teaching the red hair thing what it should and should not do while guarding their castle, Thackery might not have even noticed that they were vastly different in size...had his student not suddenly dwarfed him. His hands scrabbled against the slimy, revolting scales of the fish as it slid on top of him, sandwiching him between it and the sand. He spluttered and tried not to inhale a mouthful of fish gunk as he wriggled frantically to escape it.

"Aghhh I shouldn't have pbfhth taught you my techniques yuck yuck if you were just gonna sphtt use them against me!" Never again would he so carelessly give away his techniques. Finally shoving the fish away from him, he pushed through the sand and stared up at the biggest minipet he had ever seen. Who let their Panty Crabs out at a time like this!?

"Crab attaaaack! Defend the kingdom at all costs! Move, men, move!"

He motioned urgently towards the crab before flinging himself towards it, latching onto one of its eye stalks. It was only then that he realized this definitely smelled different than any minipet he knew...did that mean...it was a real crab?

Oh, Jack, and there was nothing stopping a real crab from eating them. He tugged frantically on the eye stalk and began kicking it where he thought its nose might be.

"Stop, shoo, we're not food!"

"SDFGHJK!" Miniature Aymet didn't even have the time to get the hell out of the water before THE CRABS CAME.

Well. The crab.

His clawing only seemed to piss it off because it smacked him aside pretty easily.

Berating the crab wasn't really doing a whole lot of good, it seemed. It was still snapping at him with its pincers, which might have been just a little uncomfortable at his normal size, but it really hurt right now. He yelped and whined with each of the crustacean's attacks, forcing himself to keep trying in spite of the thing's best attempts to eat him.

He tried chewing on the eye stalk instead, but that tasted pretty disgusting. If it bothered the crab at all, it didn't give him any indication. Or he may have been too busy spitting out the foamy saliva that was accumulating in his mouth from the taste of salt and shell and sand.

Ash was not a fan of being so tiny. It was evident in his body language, all tightly coiled muscle and tense nerves.

Even if he was no longer seven feet tall, and was...now...a few inches tall at best.

As a result, his attack against their assailant was...less than stellar.

In fact, he landed in the sand with a tiny, indignant sound, shaking his great knife and swearing.

It sounded like a squeaky balloon.
