About energy & food: -Every Character starts the day with 100 energy points. The day resets at 11:59pm PST. -These actions require energy; tree shaking, bug catching (even a miss), fishing (even a miss), digging up cracks in the ground (for fossils, gyroids, pitfall seeds and random other things). -Each action consumes 5 energy points. -Foods bought here recharge energy points at 1 energy point recharge per 1 Bell/Gaia gold spent. So a food costing 5 Bells/Gaia gold will recharge 5 energy points. -Fruits shaken from trees will always recharge 10 energy points. Fruits will later be used as ingredients to make more potent recharge foods. -Fish will also recharge energy at 20 points per fish, but they too will eventually be ingredients for more potent energy rechargers. -Foods will never spoil. Except Turnips, because that is in-game canon. But turnips cannot be eaten or used in cooking. -Specials are either sales (reduced price but same recharge value), new items or limited edition foods based on season. -Specials are limited by time, not number. All other foods and drinks are unlimited. -Some foods offer a daily bonus to the 100 energy points. Drinking coffee (obtainable only at The Roost) will give a +10 bonus for regular coffee and +20 boost for Brewster's Pigeon blend. To unlock the Pigeon blend option buy coffee from The Roost on 10 different days. -Other foods and drinks may randomly give energy bonuses too, these will state so in their descriptions. -Food art will not be started until neighbor, flower, tree art is completed. -The energy system abolishes the 5 day limit for tree shaking, bug catching and fishing. Now you may do these things as often as you have energy for. -I'm always open to food and drink suggestions. Just post them here, the main thread or PM them to Zenda of Maple City.
