There are days I watch your eyes
To see your world, but you never see mine
When I see you looking at her
and never knowing,
That boy from her past, she says is never 'round
watches her when you can't be found
She doesn't mind, yes I've watched her too
But HE say me watching, now I'm scared for you
She never seems bothered
no, she might like it
There is this glint, that appears in his eye
when I see that look I know all isn't right
But you, oh so trusting and kind
in your innocence my friend you are blind
I wonder what would happen
once if you caught me watching,
would you smile and notice me
or be upset and forget that you'd seen?
There are times I watch your eyes
to understand your world, but you never see mine.
Those are the days that I ask myself . . . why?
To see your world, but you never see mine
When I see you looking at her
and never knowing,
That boy from her past, she says is never 'round
watches her when you can't be found
She doesn't mind, yes I've watched her too
But HE say me watching, now I'm scared for you
She never seems bothered
no, she might like it
There is this glint, that appears in his eye
when I see that look I know all isn't right
But you, oh so trusting and kind
in your innocence my friend you are blind
I wonder what would happen
