Got this PM:Seppa Ilmarinen Hello, I had been looking around and came across your donation thread.
After creating this account I went and inquired of your group's purpose and cause.
Micherru answered my question and I must say, I am impressed with what you are doing here.
I have sent a trade from this account to you personally for the distribution of the wealth however you see fit.
My main account is named: Fear Nexus Darkfangs Expect another trade from my main account with the rest of my donation.
Thoughts? Impressions? I have a lot tied up in Felly to risk "washing gold." Chances are low but real.

The posts I exchanged with him are all in the RAoK if you want to scrutinize them. That amount of gold though is quite large and yes, why doesn't he just give it away himself? eek

Indeed...and beyond that...why me? I haven't posted in there in awhile. (I keep forgetting to grab a bookmark. Like earlier when I was looking @ posts.) Now last I checked (long, long ago) I was listed as "in charge" on the first page but that may've changed.
I dunno, my first instinct was: bring it on, I know exactly what to do w/it!!
My second instinct is...if it's botted or hacked I'm going to get my a** kicked and I do not want that. It'd be an excuse to quit but if I really wanted to quit I'd have done so already instead of just inventory liquidating and mulling it over in the small hours of the morning.
I think it might be best just to write him back and say: you do it. Here's what I'd suggest: blahblah.

It's wise to be careful, but I know someone who is a regular donator and he has a seperate account he does it from. Although...making one just for the purpose seems a little strange

I would just explain to him that the purpose of it is for the donator to chose who he or she gives it to...since you know...it is random and random is kinda a key word there.

Heard back, he'd offered me some solutions/information and I sent back the reader's digest version of what we've all talked about here along with suggestions as to how he could handle it himself. Then I canceled the trade and I count my hands washed. Hopefully that's that.
One of my suggestions: Anonymously filling the Dumpster. I made mention that maybe I'm the only one who would count that as an RAoK. Am I the only one that would count that as an RAoK?

Nah, I would count it too. It becomes even more random as to who gets it through the dumpster. And it is still a donation.

You're not alone. Especially given your way of looking for worthy people. Don't mistake me; I believe it's a very good way of doing things but it does narrow the "randomness" of the process. To my mind the kindness is the more important anyway.
