Sumire arrived in Konoha almost completely unnoticed. She wasn't upset by this, quite the opposite. She surveyed her new surroundings before choosing a quaint ramen shop to stop in. She hadn't eaten since sometime yesterday morning...and her stomach was starting to protest. She walked inside and paused momentarily at the door as her eyes adjusted to the dark.

Karayan sat next to a jounin, sipping the last of his ramen from the bowl he had. His eyes flitted to the door, only to look back to the older man becide him as one hand instinctively re-adjusted the headband around his neck.
"At ease. Just relax." The older man said, smiling.
"...Yes sir." The boy sighed, impatient.

She surveyed the shop and its occupants quickly and thoroughly. It wasn't even a thought after all this time. It was automatic. She didn't see much that would put her on edge. Some ordinary citizens and a few nin. Nothing to take alarm at. But she still stayed alert as she crossed to a corner and sat, waiting for someone to come take her order. She was in unfamiliar territory, afterall.

Karayan eyed the girl that came in out of the corner of his eye. He didn't say anything, just watched her while his master finished his meal. It would be a little while anyway. The older Jounin was a slow eater.

After a few minutes, a young girl came to her table. In a voice barely audible over the slight buzz of conversation, Sumire gave it. As she spoke, quickly and without wasted words, she felt someone watching her. Without blinking or giving away her feeling, she willed herself into the shadows. Suddenly, unless like the serving girl you were right in front of her, it appeared that no one was there at all. "Thank you," she said softly as the girl walked away. Turning, she then sought to find who was interested in her --- and why.

Karayan blinked. "Sensai... She just..."
"I know." The jounin pat the boy on his head. "Just relax. It's not that uncommon. You should know that."
Karayan looked to where the girl was, turning his head this time. "...I just..."
"At ease. Here, have something to drink and relax. This isn't an enemy territory, so stop acting so uptight about everything." The jounin handed his student a flask of some sort.
"Yes, sir." The boy drank from it, eyes scanning around for the girl.

Sumire scanned the small shop quickly but noticed no one paying her any undue attention. She sighed. She was getting too jumpy. Maybe she should take a vacation...yeah...a vacation sounded nice. She chuckled softly at the thought.
