All around the town, an expansive forest spotted with open fields and small hills provide protection.
To the side of the city that heads into the mainland, a large wide mountainrange with tall snowy peaks stands in the distance as a natural border. They have several foot paths that go through them, but it still would take an expert climber to make it to the city by foot. There is however one small valley through the heart of the mountain, that eventually goes through a time-worn tunnel and into the forests around the city.
To the side of the city that reaches toward the ocean, there is a single boat dock that heads directly to a small island that is mostly beach. There is a small house type building on it in the case of a storkm striking, and little else.
