Hello lovely people! Ixxy(whom admittably I dragged into this) and I are thinking of starting a Hunger Games-based roleplay. I just wanted to gauge interest to see if it would even work. If you haven't read the book(s) or seen the movie, (1) you really should and (2) we can catch you up and it wouldn't involve any canons or anything. Really to sum it all up I just want to see if anyone is interested in rping teenagers fighting to the death...
I was thinking 10-12 active characters, so yeah, we'll need quite a few...

How would you wanna do it? Canon or OCs?

I CALL DISTRICT 3!
OCs, Harx. We'd determine who killed who in each encounter by a roll of the dice... like, 1 or 2 would be one or the other tribute, and 3 would mean they both get away or something?

Yeah, purely OCs, I figure we'd pick one of the past ones that didn't involve canon characters, like I dunno, the 33rd or something.
And yeah, that might work. I was considering whoever got the highest roll would win, but that might work better.

Ooohhhh that sounds like fun....
although I think that to be realistic, the first two districts have a huge advantage. As you know, District 12 only ever had Haymitch win...
But yeah. I'd like District 4 or 11 >w>

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I said OCs. And besides that, I don't think we could all agree on one of the pasts to see who gets the only canon character *cough*i'dwantfinnick*cough*... Unless we did the book story...which seems a tad redundant to me unless it's lead character-free.
People can claim whatever district they want though.

Would you start it, like, at the beginning of the Games? Or would it be more like, the whole opening ceremonies thing? Or even before that?

Hmm, I'd guess at the start of the Games. It could be earlier I guess if we could figure out stylists and mentors...just way too many characters there. o.o

Hmmm.... this sounds interesting.
I really like the books and the movie, and I think it could be a really good (if not completely depressing role play)

I think I'd like one of the more neglected Districts, like 10 or 11.

I started reading the first book and like it so far (5 chapters in; I was up until 2:30 am reading/ skimming ahead through the book xD; ).
So I may be interested as well. :3

And I''m glad to see you're reading the book. It's amazing. wink You don't need to worry about confusion or anything; our timeline is pre-book anyway.
