I hate it >o messes with commander too much where casting this is pretty easy to do. It completly turns off all wrath abbilities which is bad. I can see this girl being banned in EDH regardless of all the other pieces of RFG cards

standard, you can rites it into play, but vapor snag is still in the format, and is played with the best deck, same with tragic slip.

any other format, Ioana is still a better card to cheat out.

Concerning Miracles, I'm on the fence on if I like them or not. But I have to say, the frame on it is stunning!

Lolllll me and my playgroup has a HUGE debate on these cards

we had concluded that griselbrand is the perfect reanimator target and is broken. here is why.
when this dude hits the field w/o his reanimation thing being countered, the opp immetiatly loses because any answer that person draws or has in hand (path or swords to plowshares) will be counters with FOW, using the pay 7 life stacking on their path then countering. even if they get him off the board, you have to deal with another 7+cards in their hand next turn ALTOUGH they can only do it twice because a third time will hit 21 and that is if they dont use sac lands and get hit. I think he is a better reanimator then Jin, which has been the best with elesh norn. as for standard, he's pretty bad cause of vapor snag.

Miracles are horrible, and this card is BAD for the health of the formats. standard it will have a home in delver and make delver the BEST deck. giving is timewalk. turn 1 delver, turn 2 flip delver and ponder with another delver or dard draw w.e. turn three temporal mastery from the ponder. time walk them and his them for 3-6 this turn with the flipped delvers, next turn, runchanters pike on a delver, put them at 8 or less life or just hold mana up for leaks. already playtested this card by proxie. unless they print cards that will help the other decks, UW delver is unstoppable. timewalking someone in standard is too good, and is better when you are able to agro out and have countermagic up.

legacy it will be worse. this will be the card that people will FOW regardless. timewalking in legacy is much better, brainstorm to put the card from your had back to the deck and all the other deck manipulation. I feel that temporal mastery will be the card that gets banned within 2 months in every format.

I will make the claim that by September, if cards are NOT printed that is as good as this, this card will be banned hammered to the ground in all formats. get rid of this 40+$ card when you get them ASAP they wont be legal for long.

I like the idea of miracles but not a timewalking one that fits into too many decks in too many formats.

the only reason I do not like these cards is for the fact that they will ruin certain formats. as far as power house goes, they ARE good cards. no doubt about it. I am still hopping these cards are gonna be a late april fools joke

So last night, Tamiyo, The Moon Sage [Linkage] was spoiled and my Johnny Senses began to tingle. I read that a lot of people didn't "like" her ultimate very much at a 5 mana control Walker wasn't fast enough though she did seem good.

After some though, and talk amongst friends, here are a few good things about her and combos we came up with for both standard and casual/edh

A common one is her interaction with Gideon. He can take the hits for her. His +2 and her -2 allow you to draw quite a few cards and that can really change the game into your favor. Also, Her +1 and his -2 can deal with Elesh Norn, Delver, and a few other problems, granted it is a bit costly.

Inexorable Tide and Contagion Clasp can her excelerate to her Emblem. Now a way that I thought about it was to storm your way to her 8 when she drops and use it right then with Memnites because they'er free, Heartless Summoning(s), Mana Myr, Myr Surperion, and Perilous Myr for 2 mana drops that are free, and Solemn Simulacrum at 4 who will be free with 2 out.

So however you want to get the emblem, even if its from doubling season, here are some things we came up with:
****(note that exiling the graveyard in response to the trigger will prevent them from coming back)

2 for standard

Heartless Summoning + Priest of Urabrask/Perilous My
(infinite mana or damage)

and my favorite, Memnite and Kuldotha Rebirth.
Lots and lots of Goblins. Even if they WoG, you can still enable it. Use an Urabrask if you want to go sideways right then and there.

Now, casual gets some pretty silly things.
First is Lotus Petal/Dark Rit/Seething Song.... Just one of these and you generate infinite mana for those of you who are into that sorta thing.

Second is the Neverending Counterspells
Rewind untaps 4 lands if it resolves so when it comes back you can recast it. Foil on the other hand doesn't even need resolve in order for all 3 cards to come back to your hand for you to counter again. In other words, Foil will always be able to counter the spell you want because Foil and Friends will return before the spell resolves.

Third is a little silly.
Phyrexian Altar and Doomed Traveler. No explanation needed.

Fouth is my personal favorite.
Want you want to ruin everybody elses day with a 4 card combo then this is the one for you.
Sneak Attack + Phyrexian Altar + Kamigawa Dragon (Excluding Kokusho for EDH)
The third part can be any creature really with a CIP trigger such as Prime Time, Solemn Simulacrum, Woodfall Primus, ect.
Pay R to put a creature from your hand into play with haste and you sac it at the end of the turn. Sacrifice it to Phyrexian Altar to add one R to your mana pool. the creature returns to your hand and repeat.

Thats it for now. I might update later but if you have any combos that you came up with let me know smile

I want to address these but after i talk about this fellow
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=130000&d=1334289725

First off, yeah its a 2 costing walker. my opinion GET RID OF ASAP its a like 5$ mythic. his +1 makes no card advantage and randomly harms you more. this abbil is only good with grave crawler and flashback cards (i only see lingering souls here...) his -4 also fairly bad and inconsistent. you would be better off using brimestone volley and waste your resources dmging your opponent verses protecting this guy (if you put him with grave grawly it cant block to protect him anywaysXD), and his -6 is poop, because if ANY walker hits their ult, you should already be winning the game, very rarely does a walkers ult go off when the person is losing furthermore his ult requires your opponent to have a board state.... if you are protecting this guy they should HAVE a board state!!!!! anwyays had to go on this rant. this card is purely casual and is a nice thing that wizard made. I still think this whole set is gonna be a large april fools joke.

Anyways as for the Moonfolk. the card is cute at best, she probably will shine best in the Delver blade deck, just because you should have the board with it and she just solidifies your win. Sadly gideon has lost favor in standard. and I dont think a walker deck will make an apperance until ravnica returns

the infinite dmg and mana is already there with the lich and is more consistant and easier to get with then with this moon folk (been playtesting with all the spoilers XDD) so far with the avalible spoilers the delver deck is the best.. espesh when you can timewalk them very consistantly now.

I actually kinda like Tibalt. He has an awesome name that reminds me of the villan in one of my friends DnD campains. Plus he dresses fancy and needs a top hat and monocle. Hes a very fancy devil. Yeah his abilities are garbage and he will most likely hinder you more than help you but he still looks cool. 20-25 as preorder price and 7 until it gets the Nissa treatment

Also, might I add, I'm not a huge standard person. Not since Lorwyn anyway. Faeries made it unfun and they'er still recovering from the damage they did. I I'm not saying anything about her dominating the format or replacing Lich because I cant see her lasting for more than 1 turn on the board, but then again her and Lich are two very different cards and the two cant really be compared together. From a non-Spike perspective, however, and huge EDH player, she has a lot of potential and I plan to really try her out as a combo enabler and possibly a focal point because I think I'll really enjoy her

nope sadly. but the set itself isn't as bad as i thought, legacy format is pretty broke broke right now. I still wished that it was a april fools joke. But they wouldnt go through this much effort for that kinda thing.

Top decks will be G/W or UW humans, mono green hex, pods deck for standard, maybe even UW tokens cause of the blue honor of the pure

for legacy will be any deck that uses brainstorm, RUG goose is reallly really good, the deck basicly runs 8 timewalks right now with the mastery and stiffle. stoneblade comes right after

Modern, nothing stands out too much to make it broken.

I think for limited, soulbound decks are gonna be really good, i wouldnt depend on the cards that benefit by having only 1 creature, it limits you to not wanting to play spells and the buff isnt too good. Limited format will play like rise of the eldrazi but slower.

block, tokens will still be banned.

mono red will still not be good until timely leaves the format.

as far as the health of standard and modern, those should be relatively untouched which has more players anyways.

Went 2-1-1 last night with a R/W/U humans. First pack pulled Vexing Devil and second pack Silverblade Paladin. Vexing Devil is by far my favorite card in this set. Ended up walking away with a playset last night.

Here's my deck I made.

Well, I had a crap prerelease. Note to self. Never play 2HG with your brother. Brings out the worst in you every time. The card pool was decent, we pulled two Burma's so I was hoping that would help, So I go UW and my partner goes BR. We lose both of our matches with a stupid bye inbetween. -sighs-

Okay, I've been hearing certain helvaults contains a little...rarer content than others. Has anyone encountered such a vault?

Oh and in our 10 packs we opened, we got NO miracles...
PostPosted: Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:00 pm

I had a awesome prerelease. My pool was terrible but i aws super lucky, Miricalled like 3 each round. I probubly gained a total of 100 life throughout the day. Soulbound lifelinker is super good. all my terriable cards turned into great cards with my two blessings of nature. Entreat the angels mirical for 10 after they wiped the board. Banishing stroke is also really good.

Drafting PICK THE VESSEL OF ENDLESS REST IT IS THE ONLY FIXER that is in EVERY color. also angelic armaments are pretty good.

limited is gonna play like rise of eldrazi. Slow and big will ultimately win the game.

You can win with soulbound miricle, cheap creatures with miricals good from what I saw. but bombs are bombs

yeah some of the helvaults contain foil tokens, but for the most part they are all the same. I even got to take a helvault home for going undefeated. looks like im gona make a BUNCH of 3d cards XD

top cards i got was cavern of souls, vexing devil, and entreat the angels. and the misthallow griffin. got a total of 18 packs

so you got to take a full helvault home?? ...Tagg, I envy you so much right now...

Unfortunately, because I was playing a 2HG meaning only one match per round, meant I only played two games. So I can't say what was a All star and what was a dud. My deck wasn't consistant at all. I'm honestly considering the potential of RW humans. That is a deadly combo right there.

Only things I really picked up were the 2 burma's and a silverblade paladin. Might consider getting a few more.
