While sitting in the vast meadow, Morgana silently contemplated her existence and what she wanted out of life. It had been the only thing on the lightning yearling's mind since the run in with one too many happy fawns. Oh, she had heard the stories of her father's clan and knew how lucky she was to be given this life in the hartlands. But she could not waste her days away frolicking like other yearlings or talking to the birds like her brother Sigurd. No, she was destined to do greater things. She came from a line of powerful herla and she wanted to do them proud. She just couldn't figure out how.

Thelxinoe was confused. It was not an emotion she liked at all, and it lead to a steady burning anger. But she could not deny that her path in life was unraveling slowly form her own indecision. Hatred for her elder siblings and the desire to be strong had kept her going throughout her younger years. But now she was as strong as she was ever going to be, more than capable of facing down Eerebus… she had even enlisted Nemesio’s aid. But a part of her no longer cared, no longer desired revenge. Without that what was she? What was the point of her existence?
The large hind stalked out from the trees and into the meadow. She stopped, lifted her head to the sky and let out a loud booming bellow filled with rage that shattered the calm of the meadow.

All her thoughts came to a abrupt halt as the cry of a thousand angry berserkers filled the air. Was it a threat or a warning? Either way, Morgana could not let it pass, who or what ever it was. Getting to her hooves she began to stalk through the meadow and once she set her sight on the dark creature, the only thing that could have made that noise, she let out a yelling battle cry of her own. She tried to stand tall and strong, facing her enemy with bolts of lightning carrying off her horn. Against a foe that large she would be no match, but an Ixion never gave up. That was at least one thing she was sure of.

Thelxinoe was surprised to be confronted. Her cry of frustration had not asked for a reply. If anything she would have expected one of her family to answer. The large hind tensed her muscles and watched the approaching figure. As her opponent came closer, she realized how young the other Herla was and was fleetingly disappointed. Too small to be any sort of challenge. But she did not turn away, as was her first thought, instead she stepped forward with a growl. She would give this female a chance to prove herself.

It was too late to back down now as the enemy began to advance. Instead of charging mindlessly into a futile battle she stood and waited instead. Biding her time she began to breathe in deeply and focused every bit of her little mind on the herla in front of her. As she waited for the trap to spring the tension in her body showed, her fur began to stand on end as the static electricity trapped inside multiplied. Her usual frown deepened with her concentration, glaring all her might at the black hind.
