~ Flint's Bluff ~ -:Kurisutofa's Cottage:- *On the Western Side of the Isle de Provoka, lies a Small Cottage that Overlooks the Flat Rolling Hills that Flow into the Sea. This is the Home of one, Captain Jack Kurisutofa. Having moored his ship, Lady Washington at the docks near the main village, Kurisutofa has since decided to make the Isle of Provoka his home. Quiet, Reclusive & Simple... Flint's Bluff made for the perfect spot for the Captain to make his permenant home. Here, he would raise sheep and make the finishing touches upon the cottage that he had begun to build with his own two hands over a year ago. Now almost complete, he only needed to finish the weeve within the portion of thatched roof that covers the Master bedroom. Once finished, this shall be Kurisutofa's retreat. His getaway from the hectic chaos that coincided with being the Captain of a Pirate Crew.*

*Returning from the Village, Kurisutofa slowly enters the Cottage in a rather low mood. Frusterated with Gov'nah Zammap's recent odd behavior, he could not figureout why she held such an ill-will towards his character.
Sure, he might have left for a little over a month, but that was no reason to come to hating him for it. Kurisutofa, feeling the part of the accused was heartbroken. The fact that Zammapp, of whom he had taken aboard his ship and had given an official position aboard. All this due to the simple fact that her Crew had abandoned her and she had sold her ship for Rum Money.
Now, after having shown such generosity in the past, he had apparently offended her and now she had shown the most utter contempt for him afront of her home on the edge of the Village.
Sitting in his armchair, he tilted his head back and sighed. What was he to do?*

From the farthest distance that she can be assured of her arrow stricking where she aims, the native Shamen sights down the legth of her bow at the cottage. She releases the arrow, and it soars through the air, stricking home on the door of the little house. The noise it made could be heard even from her position.
With a flick of her hand, the scroll attached to the arrow unrolled, revealing the message.
Dearest Captain,
We have not met, but we are sure to soon to, whether on good terms or bad. I understand that you are not the best standing with the governer at the moment, but you have one of the more powerful ships on this island, and your possible contribution to our cause cannot be ignored. This note is to inform you that I will be visiting your cottage this night. I will come alone and unarmed, though perhaps someone known to you will come as well. If I am fired upon, it will be considered a declaration of war.
-A friend
Before the Captain had time to even reach the door, She was hidden by the grasses and moved a good distance away, onto a hill where she could observe.

*Upon hearing a knock at the door, he stood from his armchair and went to open the door. As he opened it he found the arrow with the note attached to it. After reading the note...*
..Great. First Zammap, now the Natives. What else could go wrong?
*Stepping outside, he mournfully pets the wound on the door. Angerly, he shouts to the open fields*
"CAN'T YOU KNOCK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE? WHAT'D MY DOOR EVER DO TO YOU?!"
*Right away, he goes inside and sets about preparing the house for guests.*
I do hope that no one decides to come calling tonight, of all nights. With this mysterious visitor coming and threatening war if fired upon, I can't be to certain of the utmost security... but I'll do my best. Though, I wonder how they know about Zam's recent upset?
*Grabbing his pistols & baskethilt, he makes sure that he is ready for whatever may come. Most of all, he was worried he would have to fire upon his own men. He'd hate to do it, but with War being threatened, he'd have to do waht he could to prevent it, no matter the cost.*
((To whom ever is running this NPC, please be aware that this is the last post I shall be able to put forth tonight. I'll be back sometime tomorrow or the next day. I have work in the morning, and the computer is in need of a small overhaul. Virus's, Cookies & Spam, oh my.))

*Sitting himself down in a wooden chair outside of his cottage, he lights his pipe and awaits his visitor to arrive.*
Anytime now... I do hope that this meeting will go smoothly.

Creeping through the gathering dusk, the Shamen remains hidden until she has made her way around the back of the cottage. She promptly stands and walks around the house to the chair, keeping out of the Captain's sight.
"I greet you, Captain John Kurisutofa. I have come to see you."

*Chuckling*
"It's Jack, actually..."
*Standing up, he looks about the dusky field.*
"Shall we be holding this little gathering upon my threshold, or shall we step into my cottage, where it is a little more suitable for such an occasion? In my expierence, warmth always seems to make things more comfortable. Don't you agree?
Now, if you'll follow me inside, we can meet face to face and discuss terms and whatever else suits your fancy. So, might you join me inside?"

"Ah, yes. I was told your name was Jack, but managed to forget it. I suppose inside would be better, yes. The weather does grow cold around this time of the year."
She follows the man inside.
"The business of which I am going to talk tonight is important, and vital to the survival of our island. But before I begin, I must ask you a few questions. To begin with, do you know who I am, and have you any idea of why I come? Give me your best guess, I will expand upon it."

*Smirking, he glances at the woman*
"To answer your question, I know who ye' be, Atabey. As for your reason for coming here, I must admit you have me stumped. What do ye' want of me?"
*Going to the big wrought iron stove he called Bertha, he poured some water from a jar into a kettle and placed it upon the surface of the hot, black stove.*
"Before we continue, might ye' like some tea? I have a personal belief that a household, nor a country for that matter, is not perfectly civilized without a good cup of tea. So, I ask you... Do you take sugar? If so, One or Two Lumps?"

"How did he know my name...?"
She takes a seat near the fire, facing the door and the chair she assumes to be the Captain's.
"Yes, tea would be good, so long as it's not that green Asian stuff. The French love it or so I've been lead to believe, but I can't stand it. And no, I'll pass up your offer of sugar."
She then clears her throat and begins to explain the visit.
"I would ordinarily not have come to you to ask for your participation, but I was advised that your involvement would be beneficial to our cause. Your ship the Lady Nelson is, so I've heard, among the best armed and equipped on the island, and would be very useful if we are to come to blows with the treasurre seekers or the Lobsters. I'm sure you know of the presence of gold on the island?"
She looks at him, and without continues without waiting for an answer.
"There are two French brothers by the name of Meurtre who have come to this island and found a large amount of the gold. They are currently stranded, as their ship was sabotaged by one of the pirates of your island. Naturally, they are rather upset, but claim to be well known in Paris, so we cannot do them bodily harm. At the same time, there is a British ship that has wrecked on an isle close to here. Their captain has made the long voyage to this island twice, to negotiate for passage off."
Waving her hand absentmindedly around the room, she takes on a rather harsh tone.
"Naturally, we cannot just let either of these go free, as they would report to their respective crowns and both the pirates and my tribe, along with the... well... others, would be annialated. Thus we are at a deadlock. My tribe would likely kill the french and british given the chance, as they have ancient grudges they feel they must settle, and the pirate representative has been ignored so far by our would-be invaders. That's why we need you. You are well-known to the Royal Navy, and we beleive that your presence will change the mindset of the foreigners."

*Tossing the lumps of sugar back into an open ceramic jar, he pours the now warm tea into two tea cups made of ivory china. Placing them upon saucers, he carries them into the main room. Gently handing one to the kind Shaman, he steps back and takes his seat. Causiously sipping his tea, as not to burn himself, he ponders upon Miss Atabey's words.*
"Well, Miss Atabey... you drive a hard point. Naturally of course, I have a few Questions that I would like to have addressed upon the matter.
First off, the tea is Earl Grey, not that gastly green herb that they find delightful in the East. Second of all, the name of my Ship is infact, the Lady Washington. The name of Miss Emma 'Nelson', being such a kind and wonderful woman, would have made for a wonderous name. Alas my kind and dear friend, Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson would rather his wife's name was not in anyway affiliated to that of Piractical Activities. Though, I would be rather flattered if t'was the case.
*Blowing over his cup*
Now on to more serious matters, my dear. Feel free to pipe in whenever you wish. I love it when a conversation becomes involved. It cheers me so.
The presence of the French & English Forces having arrived upon the territory, I had not yet heard of. Be their intensions hostile or not, the Brother's Meurtre being here will not be tolerated by the likes of me. I hold an undying hate for the French and will gladly open fire upon any ship bearing the french colours that comes within range my broadside. Furthermore, may I say that I am humbled at the idea that you've come to me for just such an occasion. I've been itching to get a crack at Boneparte's Toy Navy.
As for the presence of the English, I am willing to deal with them face to face in a civilized manner. Might you know the name of the Man in charge of their forces? His rank perhaps? I might, if fortune smiles upon us, know and have past relations with this man. Having had a hand in her Magesty's Royal British Navy, I still hold some positive rank within the servicemen's eyes, be it so that I have infact turned Pirate."
*Sipping his tea, he puts the cup upon the saucer and places the saucer upon the small round table that sat between them.*
"Might you have any insight on the issue?"

Feeling quite a fool for having now confused both the captain's first name and the name of his ship, and feeling very thankful he was not angry at her for it, the Shamen was somewhat reduced. Nevertheless, she continued in their discussion.
"The French brothers have no allegiance to the man known as Bonaparte, or 'The Little General' as the British man calls him. They are, I believe, either outlaws or supporters of the previous crown, though I am unsure which. As it was desroyed, their ship was flying, of all things, the Dutch colors."
She sipped her tea for a moment and then returned to her track.
"As for the Englishman, his name is Edward Mason. He's a captain, or so he claims. His ship was named the H.M.S. Sapphire before it was wrecked. Do you know of him?"

"Hmmm... Captain Mason of the Sapphire, aye? I have had the honour of making his aquaintance at one time, but it has been far too long. I'm not entirely sure he'd even recognize me, beyond my reputation that is."
*Picking up his saucer, he takes up the spoon and stirs to cool his tea.*
"Whether the French are crusing under Dutch colours or not is no matter. Flying farse colours is a common practice umongst nautical phasmids. It prevents enemy attack from becoming a regular occurance. Especially, when they are the colours of a country that is supposed to have a strong alliance of truce with the British Empire.
However, it's been quite sometime since the last I've heard any news of Bonaparte's War. Alas, we are on the farside of the World afterall."

*It had been a long while since she had spoken. She seemed to be pondering upon something in her mind. Her eyes were transfixed upon something, yet nothing at all. Kurisutofa gently rapped his spoon on the side of his saucer trying to wake her from her thoughts.*
"Miss Atabey? Are you alright? Might something be troubling you?"
