We are the Van Helson Sisters' Army, and we stand for what is right for Gaia. And what is NOT right, is Mr. Gambino.
Mission: Support the Sisters and defend them in any way you can. Debate with Gambino fans and prove them wrong. Gain followers by sharing our light of knowledge and wisdom (and common sense). Also there will come a time when this army is called upon to fight. However that will only be after the Battle System is released. So for now debate and help this army grow.
Here you can post YOUR reasons for choosing the ladies over the oaf 3nodding This also comes in handy so our members always have references if they are in the middle of a debate. So use this thread as a resource if you need that extra bit to win the debate.

Why the Von Helson Sisters are Superior to Gambino
An essay by CPanda
At the close of the year 2004, many things had changed in Gaia. The Gaia population had exploded and the number of items had similarly increased. Gaia's first game was here, and fishing was a serious adventure. Guilds were up and thriving and the Avatar 2.0 was out, all to the delight of Gaia's users. But one change was not too positive. This change was to the infamous Gambino.
Johnny K. Gambino was once heralded as the most powerful man on Gaia. But 2004 brought many chages to the face of this man. During the Olympics he was shown to be a cheater, a gambler, and an abusive father. Gambino himself describes his cruel treatment towards his son. Many people rose up against this and defended Gino. But the event faded, and many people forgot.
Then came Halloween. Oh, how people couldn't wait to see what Gambino would do this time! But at this event, there were more sinister things about then just collecting items. Gambino, like many a powerful man, was not fit to stay where he was, and wanted to get more power. So we saw into his company, and from it sprang the zombie fiasco. The Gaian public saw it as a fun new event. Few saw what it really meant. Gambino was out of control. Luckily his hunger for more was stopped.
The Halloween event ended with Gambino's mansion destroyed and his son lost. It took losing everything for Gambino to realize how a father should act. There is no doubt that if Gambino had lost Gino and not the mansion, Gambino would not have cared.
So then there was Christmas and the "touching" story of Gambino's search for his son. How many times have you heard this one? The parent royally screws up, and expects the child to take him or her back and forgive everything the horrible parent did because the parent is "better now" and "wants to be a real dad/mom." Personally, I think it would have been justice for Gino to spit in his abusive father's face, and run off to the Von Helsons' home.
Ah, the Von Helsons. The Gaian Ball brought two new faces into the world of Gaia. Anna Corinne and Marie Von Helson, the Strongest Women on Gaia. These two picked up where Gambino left off, graciously holding the Gaian Ball on what must have been short notice for such a big bash. If they were the "complete bitches" that many haters say of them, they would have left Gaia without a place to hold a ball, just to spite the Gaian public. Yes, these are gracious, strong, rich, powerful women. Who would have thought that Gaia would escape from the stereotype of the men being the strong ones? Finally there are NPCs that the female population of Gaia can truly be proud of.
The Von Helsons may be cold and a little bratty towards the Gaian public, but they have a right to be that way. Think of how long these women have had to stand in the shadow of Gambino. They could never rise up, because Gambino and the stereotype of men being stronger than women would pound them down. Even now, Gambino supporters try to make them out to be less than they are, the Strongest Women on Gaia. Why shouldn't they be a little angry to the citizens of Gaia?
However, Gaians still flock to the cry "Gambino will rise again!" Why is this? The Von Helsons are proven to be a better alternative to Gambino! Why would people persist that Gambino is still the Strongest on Gaia, when there are mountains of proof that he is not?
Gambino should not be supported by anyone! He was abusive to Gino, as proven by the Olympics. If you are a fan of Gino, you SHOULDN'T support Gambino. You should support the Von Helsons, who exposed how horrible a father Gambino STILL is. The Von Helsons were not going to hurt Gino. The Von Helsons may, in fact, have been bluffing. Since they were in the position of power in the event between the two sides, they could bluff without having to worry much. Gambino couldn't hurt them, even if he found out that they were bluffing. Also, the Von Helsons are not the type to kill someone. All of the rumors of them blowing up the Gambino mansions are just that - unproven rumors. Most people with money have a feeling of invincibility, this is why murders in the upper class are exposed. The rich people rely too heavily on their money and influence. Therefore, the Von Helsons would never think they would need to resort to bodily harm to get what they want. Why would they want to when they can use their power to get Gambino to leave?
Gambino should also not be supported because is power hungry with no respect for the safety of his employees and guests. If you felt bad for the LabTechs that were completely taken advantage of, then you should definitely be on the Von Helsons' side. If you are a supporter of breaking stereotypes, then you should be in the army of the Strongest Women on Gaia. If you do not want to just follow the crowd, and you want to do what actually makes sense, then you should enlist in the Von Helsons' army now!
So, all hail the Von Helsons! May many more events be held within the hallowed halls of the Von Helsons' mansion, and may we never have to see the disgusting face of Gambino again! Cheers!
EDIT on recent events:
Beginning on the 15th of March, Gambino returned to the Isle De Gambino. He came, not to rally his supporters, not to say how much he's learned from his experiences, he came to beg for money. Yes, like a n00b with no sense of honor, dignity, nor pride, he came to suck up the funds of the Gaian public for his greedy ends. We will analyze his entire beg, line by line, just so everyone understands.Gambino If you have a few minutes, I'd like to see if maybe you could help me out... Gambino You see... a terrible accident has reduced me to nothing. You may have heard about it, it was quite tragic. Gambino I lost my fortune, my mansion, and my son Gino has lost his memory crying .
When Gambino was at the height of his power, Gambino was incredibly abusive to Gino. He admitted, during the Gaian Olympics, that he treated him like a dog, not letting him eat at the table, and promising to make Gino pay for not winning. He also made Gino cheat, against Gino's better judgement. This all shows that Gambino himself doesn't care about the rules or the law at all.
If Gambino gets his power back, he willgo back to all his old practices, because no one will be strong enough to stop him. Gino will suffer, as will the rest of Gaia.Gambino I need a fresh beginning, a new start.
But no, Gambino is still greedy, greedy, GREEDY. He has learned nothing from what happened the last time he let his greed get out of hand at the Halloween event. Or maybe he just doesn't care. Either way, this shows that Gambino has not changed, and once he gets his power back, he will not help Gaia out anymore than he did before.
And think about how poor Gino will suffer.Gambino If you could find it in your heart to donate some gold to me, I could get that new start!
This shows that he does not want to lift a finger. When he had no home, he did not sell that diamond. He didn't even sell that diamond for "my poor son Gino." He is a liar. All he wants to do is take advantage of innocent Gaians to gain an empire stronger than the last. How is this a quality of one who can lead Gaia as it's Most Powerful Man?
All of this shows why Gambino should not be supported. In the face of all this evidence, how could you possibly sympathize with him?!
NEW EDIT:
As Gambino's tower was completed, he revealed his true colors yet again. Did he reward the people who helped him? Did he invite them inside to see what THEY had built? Did he even thank them after the work was done? NO! He disappeared into the Tower. Not even Cindy Donovinh knew what he was doing. Why would he be hiding if he was a good, changed man? If he were changed, he would have nothing to hide. This shows that he is still the evil man that he always was.
The Von Helson sisters, seeing this abuse of Gambino's popularity, retaliated. They appeared in Durem offering truths and Anti-Gambino Picket signs. Just as Anna Corinne said, "He tricked all of you and stole your money for his own selfish desires!!" Also, Marie shows that the sisters are not gripped by the same greed as Gambino, the money they ask for is ONLY the money it takes to manufacture the sign. They took no profit for themselves. I believe that is virtuous of them. They care enough about the Gaian public that they urge the people of Gaia to stand up against evil. Though they may have a "snobby" exterior, they do deeply care about the fate of Gaia.

Gambino has appeared on Easter Sunday, in a completely psychotic state. Did he give out Easter presents to his fans? Did he thank his loyal supporters? No. He asked for...MORE MONEY. This cements the fact that Gambino is greed personified. He cares only about his own wealth. He has a TOWER. Not a home, a TOWER. What more could he need? Nothing, but he asks for more anyway. Like Macbeth in Shakespeare's trajedy, Gambino will do whatever it takes to get everything he wants. This is not an evil that should be supported, this is an evil that should be destroyed. It is plain for all to see.

I like them because they are cool and gave me a V-pin. sweatdrop Not really even though I don't have a long explanation like CPanda above me I still have a particular reason. GAMBINO IS UGLY! Ok nevermind this is why I like them: One because they are women who says that a man has to be the most powerful person in gaia? I rather have these sisters be the most powerful people...... Because two is better than one?!. wink

1)It's nice to see women in charge for a change
2)They're hot
3)They gave me sexy V Pins and other lovely gifts (hats/balloons)
Why I hate Gambino
1)He's fat
2)He's ugly
3)He didn't give me a G Pin
4)He is not good at taking care of Gino

I choose to defend the girls because I hate it when people jump to conclusions on new blood. I don't approve of abusive parents who push too hard to make their child to be just like the adult, which hert the kid in the long run. A person who is power hungry and dosn't care who they walk all over to get what they want, not careing about others feelings. The sisters never hert Gino,and gave him back so my twitch on them kidnapping Gino is gone. What really pissed me off is tht Gambino let zombies in and didn't even warn us about the damn rocket when we were inside the mansion stressed !

I prefer the sisters, because they care about the well-being of gaia, not about themselves. They chose to take a leadership role, and attempt to rebuild gaia. 3nodding

I chose the sisters because Gambino was a bad role model for his son, because he started a riot at a perfectly nice party, and he only chose his to get his son back over the crowds because everyone would think of him even lowlier if he just abandoned Gino.

Well there are several reasons why the Von Helson sisters are better.
They have a sense of style and they had great personalities.
They were overall much better than Gambino, with cooler pins.
They even had a cooler mansion.

Ethically Sound?
Most people don't know what ethics are. So I will explain it in very simple and broad terms.
Ethics - A process of decision making to make a good decision for the decider.
There you have it in simple terms.

Now, Lets talk about the ethics of The Von Helsons Sisters decisions.
"They kidnapped a kid in order to gain power and wealth" ~Gambino Fanatics
Well according to ethics, this is a "teleological" way of thinking.
Tele- meaning distant
And
Logical- Having to do with thinking.
The First question a Teleologist asks him/herself is "What are the facts?"
They need to know the facts so they can assure themselfs that the "End justifies the means".
The Facts:
Emotional Damage if not Physical Damage to the Boy.
Breaking the Law and Kidnapping a Boy.
High Chance of Gaining Wealth and Power because of it.
Then a Teleologist asks themselfs, what is the non-moral good that will overweigh the bad things that will happen to the boy.
The Sister's Non-Moral Good in this case is wealth.
Others are: Pleasure, Security, etc.
In this case the sisters decided that the non-moral good outcome was worth the pain and stuffering.
The Result:
The teleologist then asks themself. Did the outcome we predicted happen? Did it? Are the sisters rich? Yes, yes they are. Therefore in that case the end DOES Justify the means.
Refering back to the meaning of ethics: "Ethics - A process of decision making to make a good decision for the decider." Now it was a good decision for them, because their values lie in wealth!
Yours mightn't but where they lie is just opinion and you can't argue opinion!
If a kid knew where a nuke was and wouldn't tell you, would you torture him to find where it is? It is just as bad if not worse!

Now.. Gambino:
"He only turned everyone into Zombies"~Gambino Fanatics Again.
Yes, he did. Now lets look at his way of thinking.
((I am not sure on the facts, so other Von Helson Army Members help me out here, because I wasn't around for the whole zombie thing))
Now I am not even sure what he is thinking in this case but lets look at all 3 ways of thinking.
1) Teleological. The Ends Justify the means? The Pain and Work is all Justified by turning everyone into zombies? Hurting everyone justifies your own work and pain? I don't think that is morally sound.
2) Deontological (I do stuff because it is my duty, or it is the right thing to do) I will give you an example.
A Nazi Barges into a Christians home who is hiding jews from the Nazis, and runs upto the man and says "Are you hiding any jews here?"
Now a Teleologist would say "I will go against my believes and lie, so this jew isn't caught, in the end it is a good thing to do"
A deontologist would say "It is wrong to lie, and against my believe, I will tell the truth"
Now did he do it because it was his duty or it was right? Was it his duty to make everyone into zombies? No. Was it right? No. So this way it is still unsound. Very Unsound.
Last off Escatilogical thinking.
This really only applies to christians in non-secular ethics.
An Escatilogical thinker is a person who would act, like they would act when Jesus returns to show the full glory of heaven, for their whole life.
And this can't even apply to Gambino.
Therefore Gambino's thinking is morally and ethically unsound. Q.E.D.

I was hooked on the Von Helsons the minute I saw their cute little avatars.
Lots of the reasons I support them have been summarized by the others. But personally, I think they are sexy, empowered, and the most stuck up bitches in the world! I love it! Their attitude will take them far, but also probably get them in a lot of trouble. I want to know more about their tragic past. And I believe that they put up the powerful attitude to maybe protect themselves from pain.
I was never a fan of Gambino. He was never as appealing to me as the sisters. They are more fun, in my opinion!

First of all, I was never a big fan of Gambino to begin with, so that's number one on why I'm on the sister's side. Two, they haven't given us a reason to hate them. Nobody really gave them a chance when they first appeared, all that popped up were the conspiracy theories of them blowing up his mansion. And number three, the twins are just more appealing to me being women in power. 3nodding heart

There are so many reasons why I like the sisters a whole lot better than Gambino. Well, here I will list the ten main reasons that I can think of:
1) They have style, flare, and they are really quite beautiful, and cool. Gambino looks like a fat hobo. Well, he kind of is now. Anyways, I have heard many people calling the sisters sluts just because they are vain. How is that fair? They care about their looks because even though they are powerful women, they are still young girls at heart and want to look beautiful and presentable like any girl. Unlike Gambino, who is an ugly old fart.
2) The Von Helson sisters have been accused of murdering their father, and they most likely didn't do it. Everyone is blaming them for his death. No wonder they can be moody and insulting sometimes, I can't blame them after what people have been saying about them. Also, they can't show any weakness in front of the media, so they have been turning bottled up sadness into anger, perhaps. Maybe we should feel sorry for them?
3) The Von Helsons have been very generous to us. Gambino tells us all to spread on his name, and gave very few of us items, and the few people who he did give items to only got G pins. I find that very selfish, especially considering his wealth. He also put his fortune above his son. The Von Helsons gave us all so much at the ball, not just a single item. And although they stressed the fact that they were very powerful and rich, they didn't exactly order us to spread on their name. Finally, there is two of them, so that should prove that they have no objection to sharing.
4) Everyone claims that the Von Helson twins kidnapped Gino and were going to kill him if Gambino didn't follow their orders. This is not true. Gino seemed to have just wandered off, since Gambino clearly said that he "lost" his son, having been too distracted with his own "spreading his name". The Von Helsons merely caught Gino before he wandered off, and, angry at Gambino for being such a neglective father, they demanded that he leave town or he'd never see his son again. So, if Gambino didn't listen to them, the Von Helson twins would have probably just kept Gino with him and raised him as their son. Maybe that way he'd be treated better. Gambino turned him into a vegetable, after all.
5) The twins are the two most powerful women in Gaia. It should be a nice change to see them as the most powerful.
6) I have heard the twins being criticized for having their family books in the library burned. But those are their books, and it doesn't harm Gaia for them to dispose of them. But people still insist that this makes them seem suspicious. But maybe there's something we don't know? Maybe there was something horrible that their family did that they were just trying to forget, and rise above. In that case, we couldn't blame them for the mistakes of their ancestors.
7) A few people have also criticized the twins for turning one of their spires into a salon. Why? I think that was a great idea! It is cool, useful, and of course helpful. What is wrong with that?
8 ) The Von Helson twins kindly let us all into their mansion for a ball to celebrate the new Gaian year, when they could have just left us with nowhere to go. How is it that people come into their own ball and insult them? That isn't very appreciative.
9) The twins want us to forget about Gambino, that is no secret. But they have good reason. He set zombies on us to kill us. An accident? I think not. He was a bad leader. And those twins are so much easier on the eyes.
10) Finally, the Von Helsons are being accused of not caring for fellow Gaians because they had security escort us out. But think about that for a moment. How could two twins make sure that everybody, everyone in Gaia almost, left their home safely? There were bound to be people who would resist, try to destroy the house, or hide and try to stay there. It would not be possible for two young ladies to escort the whole population of Gaia out of their mansion by themselves.
Those were my reasons. Long, huh? I put a lot of thought into this, though, and I believe in the twins 100%. I can't believe that Gambino lovers are so blind.
