It had been a very long time since she had made an effort to meet other kin. There had been so many fascinating things to see as the chill swept through the swamp. She had had every intention of following kin north and even still she had found herself watching resolutely over -- well near about everything. The swamp, though, still was not as warm as it usually was. The giant moth that was her dearest friend had taken refuge in a sprawling tree high above that was nearer the sun. Until the swamp became more hospitable to the fragile creature, she'd not attempt to call it down to her. The chill might harm it. And until that time came, it would be nice to talk to someone who talked back.
She paused to take a drink from a clear stream. Satisfied, she lifted her head though she stared at her reflection. Perhaps she thought she would find the best place to look for another kimeti in the eyes of her reflection. "Where might I find someone...," whether that was a question or a musing -- it might have been either from her.
