Neville Longbottom Captain

It's hard to love Neville without loving Matthew. He goes above and beyond his line of duty of acting the part of Neville Longbottom. Each facial expression, line, movement (especially in the last two films) are incredibly Neville. Fans could not ask for anybody else to play the part of our favorite brave Gryffindor.

Indeed...Matthew is utterly Neville--from the buck teeth ( whee ) to the hair. He looks more like Harry...is this supposed to symbolize something? confused

Okay, maybe a few more. Neville's character acting was spot on, but Steve Kloves kind of screwed him over. Blink and you'll miss his backstory, and even then, you don't know the half of it.
The next screenwriter had better do Christmas on the Closed Ward right. domokun

There was definitly a lot more "Neville Rules!" in GoF than "Neville's Parents!" "Neville has a crappy life at home!" "He's probably depressed!" "etc!" So I guess backstory was sort of screwed. But screentime wasn't.
And I think I heard in an interview that they are doing the whole Neville scene. I'd cry if they didn't... and they really need to make the movie into more than one movie now... seriously... It CAN'T fit. I'd rather have two longer artful movie than one that is just like "plot plot... skip this point, skip that one, and make a quick plot!"

Matthew Lewis is so amazing. I named on of my shoes after him. (The other one is Tom Felton >_<.) They did a fantastic job of casting him.
[Oh man I just got invited to join this guild. I'm super excited about it, lol. Neville's been my favorite for like...ever.]

I love him! I think they did a marvelous job of casting in his case. I couldn't see anyone else as Neville. I wish they'd give him a bigger part though... ><

Well, he got a heck of a lot of screentime in Goblet of Fire. More than Rupert I think. I should buy it and time each one.

((I'd almost agree that he got more screentime then Rupert!!!! But he's adorable and they did the right thing choosing him as Neville! So...cute!!! hehe...and I believe he will have BIGGER roles to come! With the next 3 HP's (if they make them all) he will definately play a big part in the end!))
