She felt...well to be frank, Shaden felt utterly exhausted. Several missions had come in (probably because of her lack in them recently...or having to help 'train'). The Reaper had been traveling for a good portion of the week, heading from first Lumena (ugh she hated it there), then to a few small places outside of Moonfall and now, she was in Clarus Arbor. Again. For the some-teenth time. But at least this hadn't been a false alarm. The towns complaints of a creature lurking around the water had been legit.
Shaden groaned as she stepped out of a nice hot shower. Water. Why did it have to be a water creature of some sort? Or one that had been very talented in water magic. The feline in her just bristled at the memory of swallowing about a gallon of salty ocean water.
Walking over to the bed, she just faceplanted into the semi-stiff mattress, not even caring. Her body ached and she very much just wanted to sleep and go home. Or maybe side-track to Makai and visit Athir? Shaden couldn't even be bothered to think at the moment. Sleep. She wanted sleep. Even throwing clothing sounded like too much work. Her eyes drifted closed as she exhaled deeply, letting her muscles relax.
And then there was a screech and something cursed about foul spirits and someone elses brother. Or something like that. Her ears flattened and Shaden grumbled, rolling to her feet and stumbling towards her travel bag. With some effort, she managed to pull on pants and a shirt. Twisting her hair up, she moved towards the door to her room and slipped out, following the cursing sounds of a frightened individual.
"What the hell is with all this racket?" She muttered, bare feet not even making a sound as she padded to the stairs and glanced up to the next floor. What was going on up there anyways?

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰

The room had been dark when she entered, but even before the lights were flicked on, she felt it's eyes on her, and smelled the pungent odor of the inhabitant of a grave, and heard its death-rattle-like chortle as it wafted itself across the room. The lights slowly flickered on, and though there wasn't anything obvious in the room, she knew it was there.
Lutea hated dealing with cantankerous spirits, especially this kind, whom she was able to identify immediately. "A few people were murdered in here, recently." she said to nobody in particular, though the owner of the inn behind her shuddered and slowly nodded. "Red cap." she confirmed, smelling the air again. "They're drawn to bloodshed."
As she identified it, the 'Red Cap' began pelting furniture across the room towards them, which Lutea bounced away from her with flickers of a blue light that ignited at both of her sides for brief moments. "Now you quit that," she murmured in its direction. She couldn't see the Red Cap, though it would have been easy had she been raised as she was meant to be, a priestess. Instead, she would forever be trapped only hearing, and in some cases, smelling. Dissssgusting.
Without any sign of fear or apprehension, Lutea strode in the middle of the room, and used one of those small sparks of blue to send a heavy chair flying at the direction she could hear the creature lingering in. She heard it scream in shock, anger, and indignation, and couldn't help but to laugh melodiously.
She opened her mouth to speak, but her words were cut off as she heard the voice of another female in the doorway, much different than the elderly innkeeper. She slowly turned her head, her eyes first and foremost falling on those precious ears that girl possessed, and all thoughts of the red cap suddenly vanished. "E..ears." she mumbled, staggering towards the girl in an awkward, almost frightening way. Her hands were reaching for them, they were so..so close, but her manners finally got a hold of her, and she withdrew them, clearing her throat and turning half back towards her Red Cap adversary.
The old woman spoke up to answer before Lutea could, nervously watching the Exorcisma. "I'm sorry dear," she croaked. "There's been a rather horrible sequences of events in this room, and we needed a little extra help to get it back to normal."
Lutea tilted her head, smiling sweetly at the girl with fluffy ears. "Please stay and watch if you'd like," she offered kindly. She knew if she went for htem now, the girl had the advantage being closer to the door. She'd never catch her. She had to stealthily somehow switch places, barricade the door off....but she wouldn't do that now, not with the stinky red cap in the room. "I understand your kind don't often get to witness such things." She floofed her long hair, the lighter ends catching glimmers from the oil lamps that burned.
The blue sparks snapped and crackled in various places in the room, the annoyed and soon pained cries of the Red Cap audible to Lutea's ears, though she knew they couldn't see him, but they'd sure be able to see the furniture he flung and things he broke, and by now they were sure to smell his terrible grave-stench, like coagulated, old blood curdling out of something terrible and filled with dirt.
Lutea's lips were moving, but she was speaking no words, until finally there was a massive amount of the blue, wispy sparks, and the last, dying shriek of the Red Cap was able to be heard by all as it dissipated. The exorciscma finished her little ritual by placing a paper tag with an intricate symbol on the wall, giving the old woman advice on how to deter more Red Caps from returning, and accepted her payment, and bowed politely as she left them, before turning back towards the girl from before, Lutea now positioned perfectly between her and the door.
"Was it everything you expected to see, kittycat?" she smiled impishly, arms held under her bosom and her hips leaned against the door frame. "Those...I want........to touch those soft things on your head. They're too cute, I have to...!" With that, she pounced form her position almost like a predator, wrapping one arm around the girl's squishy middle and using the other to fondle one of her ears. "So..cuuute...~" she purred. "So...Sooooft..~" Though, the soft comment hadn't quite..been intended for the ears, as her hand had 'accidentally' landed on Shaden's breast. ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰

Her nose wrinkled and her ears flattened even more. Cautiously, she crept up the stairs quietly, hand raising as her fingers curled around the necklace around her throat. Whatever was causing problems up here, it had better not be something from before. A creature that got away from her. Not only would that just be downright embarrassing! But Shaden knew it meant she'd have to stay here longer. To investigate and make sure there weren't any more of them lurking about.
She froze briefly when soft voices reached her first. Well, if there were voices up here then maybe everything was alright? Shaden snorted at herself.
The crashing sound of furniture had her tail lashing behind her as the Reaper finally peered around and into the room. Two people were there. One that seemed to be...fighting? Was that what she was doing? Shaden saw nothing, but there was clearly something off. Like what caused that chair to go flying?! And then it hit her.
Exorcisma! It had to be. The strange scent coming off the woman in the center. And an unseen 'thing' throwing furniture like it was nothing?
Shaden's eyes widened as the Exorcisma stepped - or staggered - towards her. What...the hell?! Instead of taking a step backwards, like a sensible person might do, the Reaper's body tensed reflexively, as if preparing for an attack. But something seemed to change the woman's mind and back to her own battle she went. And Shaden swore she heard something that had been soft and sounded like....ears? One of her own ears flickered up curiously.
She glanced at the older woman. "Is that so? Explains all the racket." The Reaper murmured, watching the Exorcisma. Her lips twitched up a little at the corners and a simple nod was directed her way. "I'd be honored to watch how one of your kind operates." She replied.
And then Shaden found herself pulling the innkeeper out of the room and placing herself between the woman and...whatever was going on within. She could take a beating. The older woman could not. All the while, her eyes took in everything that happened until things seemed to fall into silence. The Exorcisma's work done. Though that final shriek from whatever had been in here had made the hair at the back of her neck raise and an uncomfortable feeling settle about her. But she just brushed it off on not having been able to see what the Exorcisma must have seen. Or so she assumed anyways.
While the other woman collected her payment, Shaden padded farther into the room, looking over the walls and the furniture. "Interesting." She muttered, ears alert and tail lazily swinging behind her. When she heard that voice, rather sweet and melodic to her ears, Shaden turned back to face the Exorcisma. "I believe I can say it was. Though to be honest you...were the...first-" She'd seen the shift in body language, saw the woman come at her. But she failed in escaping the arm that wrapped around her. And then there was a hand fondling her ears!
"W-What....gah! Do you mind- EEK!" The last was squeaked out as a hand very conveniently found itself comfortably resting against one of her breasts. "Do...n't....ughhhhh!" Shaden shivered, tail curling around her leg and leaning into the ear fondling. Very much a feline in heaven right now.
"Who...the hell...are you?" She attempted to growl out...but instead purred.

A gentle and amused laughter bubbled from her soft lips at how the little kitty reacted. She sensed the initial bristling that was quickly overtaken by a delightful purr, and it egged her on to continue sliding one soft ear in between her thumb and index finger, imitating the same motion with her other hand except using the entire hand.
"Oh, don't say it in such a scary way~" she purred against her ear. "You should use your polite words like a good girl. You must say, please, Miss Lutea, please don't stop rubbing my cute little ears~" She grinned cattishly and released her, careful to take a few tottering steps backwards to avoid any backhanding the girl might offer her. She admired her appearance from the safety of her position, hands once more returning to snug under her breasts and tilting her hip to one side. "And what is your name, little dear?"

She couldn't help her reactions! The feline half of her was completely eating this up. Shaden found herself tiling her head a little to give the woman easier access to her ears. And ohgod how nice it felt! Relaxing and much desired from an aching body. Her body very much just melted into the other, legs feeling slightly weak. And that other hand....! Shaden was positive there was a nice flush to her face at this point. Especially as a shiver raced down her spine, tail twitching from it.
"Not...meaning to." Shaden murmured, still very much in feline mode. "Can't help being...slightly taken by surprise." The last was as much of a jest as she could throw out there until the woman released her. Shaden stumbled forward, trying to get her legs about her again. And hide the fact her face felt very warm.
"Polite words?" The Reaper snorted out, arms wrapping around her middle to keep from doing...something. "Polite words do not run in my vocabulary, unfortunately." She glanced over at the Exorcisma. "Lutea the Exorcisma, then?" Shaden cleared her throat, twisting to face the other. "Shaden. My name is Shaden." She paused, and added, "Tis a pleasure to meet you." And another pause. "I think...."

"You....think?" A frown formed on Lutea's face and she brought a slender finger to her lips, one brow raised in perplexed thought. "Oh, I see what you mean, human-being." Her smile returned and she slid over to her, placing both hands upon her breasts and rolling them upwards. "You did not receive enough pleasure form my pettings, I will remedy this now." She was truly about to continue her molestive ways when the older lady from before returned, unabashed by what was going on in that room.
"Oh dear, oh dear." she croaked, and chuckled. "Young girls these days are so experimentive. I've brought your tea, dear." she motioned to shaden, and to the tray she was holding. "I'll just...go leave it in your room, shall I?" This whole time Lutea still had her hands cupped on Shadenäs breast, smiling pleasingly at the older lady as if it was perfectly normal for one girl to be cupping another's breasts. "To Shaden's room!" she cried, finally releasing her and bumbling after the old lady, leaping onto Shaden's bed the moment she opened the door. "Bed, so soft, beeeed." she purred, rolling into the blankets.

Shaden eyed the other female, not sure if she should try and escape now while she had the chance? Or stick around. Her room was a level below this one. Maybe just slinking back to that would be best... "What is that supposed to mean?" She got her answer quick enough, a squeaked protest trying to escape her lips. "N-No..." Ugh, crap it felt good and she was tired and her body ached. Her hands rested against Lutea's wrists, failed efforts in making the woman stop further interrupted by the return of the innkeeper.
The Reaper's face was quite red at that point.
"Th-That's not....I-I mean...what? Oh, thank you. And yes p-please." She managed to get out, feeling her face heat up even more. Oh crap she hoped word of...this didn't reach the others back home. There were a few Blackhearts she was positive would delight in poking fun at her. Or asking why she didn't invite them.
And then Lutea had released her and was bounding after the older woman. Towards her room. Shaden facepalmed and debated what her options were. Oh eff it, she followed behind until reaching her room and thanking the older woman again before shutting her door. And locking it out of habit. She stood by the door, watching Lutea before sighing and dragging herself to just...fall on the bed. Again.
"Don't hog the whole thing." She muttered, tail flicking, a hand shooting out to bat at the other. Which happened to conveniently land on one of Lutea's breasts. Shaden blinked and felt heat rising to her cheeks again.

The bed was so soft and big, and wonderful that all Lutea could do was to roll around in the covers like a fool, until Shaden joined her. An arm was used to prop herself up, her face in the palm of her hand. "Hog? I would never~" Using her other hand, she traced a finger down the back of the other girl and onto the base of her tail, stopping when she felt the warm touch of fingers upon her own breast.
Lutea stared down at them as if startled, raising her azure gaze to meet Shaden's. "Oh my," she purred, bringing her free hand to her cheek as if she was bashful. "What ever are you doing with those? Are you trying to hint to me that I should fondle yours more?" she rolled closer, bringing her mouth to Shaden's tempting throat and gave it a little lick, a bubbling giggle pouring from her lips. "You must have liked it, didn't you, little kitty?" Her breath came in warm puffs against her neck, Lutea's legs in the air and swinging back and forth playfully. To her, this was simply...playtime. There was nothing to be ashamed of about bodies, or bodies touching. It was common for the Exorcisma at the shrine she grew up in to cuddle, caress and kiss each other without it leading directly to sex, though she knew in some instances, it could. It was just...play, and warmth. Precious, precious warmth.

Shivers followed the path that finger traced, tail swishing a little more forcefully from side to side. That felt so nice... And then there was her hand. Resting on Lutea's breast. Still resting against her breast. Shaden just stared, trying to will her hand to move while simultaneously not doing a damn thing about it.
"........" She couldn't seem to form a sentence for a good solid minute. "I...don't know." Was the amazing answer she gave, ears lowering and a shudder racing along her body. The lick did many things to her already fried nerves. Yet, strangely, at the same time it didn't have quite the same effect it would have if it had been, say...Ashkii. Or a 'male' for that matter. Shaden directed an odd look at Lutea.
Maybe she was just tired. And her brain was refusing to function properly. Whatever the case was, she found herself shifting to lay on her back, an arm flopping over her eyes while a smile tugged at her lips.
"Perhaps I did. I am a feline, after all. Such...affectionate gestures are quite lovely." She paused, removing her arm to glance at the other. "You're different from most of the people I've met. I kind of like it. And you don't care that I'm a Reaper?" Shaden absently played with the front of Lutea's outfit, or more specifically the piece of fabric between her breasts. It was the most amusing.
A felinelike smile curled along her lips slowly. "Know what else felines like?" She asked, a small chuckle escaping. "Cuddles~"

"Reaper~? No, no, it doesn't bother me. Human Beings are new to me, but not very scary, really. Just many different flavors." She rolled to her side, wrapping a leg on top of Shaden's and burrowing into her neck, giving it another little lick to make her point. "I also truly love to indulge myself in cuddling, and the exchange of bodily warmth~" A hand ran up the inside of her thighs, past her hips and to her belly, two fingers 'walking' around on her. Her face found its way nestling into the side of her bosom, squishing into her.
"And what is a reaper like yourself doing in such a backwater little town, I wonder~? Were you looking for more rural tastes~?" She wriggled her body slightly against the soft creature, getting lost int he permeating warmth of their touching flesh.

Something tingled in the back of her mind. Something that was important but just out of reach. And Shaden was so not in the mood to try and use her brain properly that she just tried to shove it back down somewhere for later inspection. Especially with Lutea licking her neck and a leg wrapped over her own. Such actions that one might claim to be 'dirty' or 'sexual' yet...yet those feelings were oddly lacking in the way Lutea played with her. And Shaden found it oddly relaxing at the same time.
"Different flavors?" She asked lazily, ear swiveling towards Lutea as Shaden moved her head to look at the other. "What sort of tastes do we have?" The feline half of her understood this better. But both understood the latter words even better.
"Mmm...I like both of those too." The Reaper Mononoke grinned, stretching and feeling things 'pop'. "Very much like those things. Though, sadly, I never have anyone around to enjoy it with." She murmured, eyes closing as a pleasant tingle traveled up the same path as Lutea's fingers. And for once, there was no flush to her skin as a face found its way to her breasts. Maybe that was a bad sign that she was getting used to that.
"Me?" She opened an eye to look at Lutea, one of her own hands toying with the girl's hair. "I had...a mission to attend to." She answered, a low purr rising up from her chest. Shaden shifted a little, letting her body curl into Lutea's, the tip of her tail lazily flicking. Then, quite randomly, "Did you know, that my other form is like one giant furry pillow?" She giggled.

There was something a little...familiar, about Shaden. About her name, about her ears and tail, about the way she spoke and her physical demeanor. What was it, exactly.... And then, with her last comment, it came to her.
"You remind me of a girl i once met as a child," she purred, her thumb absentmindedly stroking the girl's side, near her hips. "She also liked to tell me she could turn into a big, furry pillow. We had ever-so-much fun together. Sadly, it was many years ago, we were still children when we were unable to play more."
Lutea smiled coyly, rolling over and straddling Shaden's middle, a curious, impish look on her face as she casually rested her hands on her chest, peering down at her as if studying a very interesting book.
"Wouldn't that be amusing if you and her turned out to be one and the same!" she mused, inching her face towards Shaden's. Their lips were dangerously close to touching, but she stopped just barely in front of them.

Something in her words, in her actions...they made Shaden freeze up. Her heart pounded slowly yet it felt as if there was a huge weight against her chest, making it difficult to breathe. A memory, dancing just at the edges of her mind. What...what is it? Why do I feel as if I'm in shock? And she was. Shaden knew the feeling, having fallen into shock a few times before.
"R-Really?" She asked, cyan eyes wide. The thumb stroking near her hip felt wonderful, and made it difficult to focus on the conversation fully. There was nothing 'sexual' about the feeling. More like the contended feeling one got from a good massage. And there was no denying that her feline sister was eating up all the 'touchy feely' attention. "Did she...ever show you her other form?"
Another memory teased her mind, just out of her grasp. A friend to play with when dad visited the shrine.
The Reaper followed Lutea's movements with her eyes, something in her shivering as the other straddled her. And those curious, impish eyes...
"I remember...going to the shrine. When I was little. Dad was a supporter of them. And occasionally asked for their help." Shaden whispered, very aware of how close the other woman was. But she still found it odd that there was a difference in the way Lutea toyed with her verses...someone else. "And...I had a very dear friend when I'd visit with him..."
Was it possible...she couldn't be sure, since she was still very new to her Mononoke powers and hadn't mastered the ability to store scents in her mind. But...but Lutea...there was familiarity there. A comforting familiarity.
"I-It...can't be..." Shaden blinked, something that was suspiciously like tears shimmering at the edges of her eyes.
