Alright, so I like art. A lot. I'd even like to believe that I'm sorta good at it. Key phrase: like to. Unfortunately there's plenty of room for improvement. That's where you all come in 3nodding So. There's another thing. I have a lot of art. Therefore, instead of posting it all here and absolutely killing Gaia and your computers with all of the graphics, I'm simply going to provide a link. Hopefully you all will take a peek whee

I love the Hershey's Kiss.
Makes me hungry. ;>>
I also really like the handwriting sample; I get similar comments very often. Just yesterday I was doing a math problem on the board, and my teacher said my handwriting looked like hieroglyphics! xD

I love the still life with a bucket of apples. It looks like fairy tale illustration. And I can't believe it's done with coloured pencils - it's my favourite traditional media, but I haven't ever managed to end up with so vibrant, saturated colours. How did you do that? I also like that airbrushed piece because of it's colour scheme and composition. In pencil section are also alot of good drawings. As someone before mentioned - especially still life. As for portraits - I guess you'll need some more references, because they look rather unnatural (but maybe it's just a matter of stylization, so I don't know).

It's not stylization, I just suck that much razz
As for the colored pencils... I press really really hard. I also mix colors, often laying down the darker colors first and then coloring over them with the lighter tones. I guess I treat them like paints...
Square Watermelon: Thanks xd . I remember that that one took me forever. It was for my first real art class 3nodding
I really don't think my handwriting is that bad... Could you read it?

So which colored pencils do you use? If I try to lay one layer on another it begins to look dirty and color transitions aren't soft. Just like some of pics at http://ilraeth.deviantart.com/gallery <-- those made with crayons. I really don't like how the colors look on them (especially on piece called "Molu").

I heart them. A lot. They are pretty expensive, though... but then, what isn't? I actually kinda like the rough/sketchy feel some of your colored pieces have.
lait_renverse: I'm overcritical of myself. At least, that's what I'm told... My art teacher a couple years back handed out these sheets that showed how the facial structure works... I'm pretty sure I threw them out, but they were quite helpful. Wonder why I did that...

hmm well- I hate directions, maybe you do too? I think I do. Like when my AP English teacher hands out sheets that say what choices we have for thesis topics, I always want to do something that's not on the list.
Also like when the new art teacher decided that she wanted to say things about my work- critical or approving, whatever- I didn't like it. At all. But I think that that's because she kind of hides behind you for a couple of minutes and then talks... Creepy...

Graphite. Just because I'm cheap like that whee If I had the money my favorite would probably be oil pastels... or maybe just pastels... I'm not quite sure.

Your eye and attention to detail is amazing... anatomy is hard, I know... but it's really easy if you learn the best ways to get good at it. Congratulations on being able to draw still-life so well... I couldn't do it for the life of me, that good mrgreen .
