Personality: Edmund was raised alone by the person he considered his mother until her death of illness. While the exact circumstances of his birth are unknown to him, what little he was told has lead him to believe that he was born to protect others. As such, he is not familiar with many customs and traditions, but beleive that it is what his mother would have wanted, he will always attempt to help others.

Zaccone is another story. While he is strictly obediant to directions give to him by Edmund, he will do anything in his power to keep Edmund from harm. He is aware that Edmund was breed to be a killing machine, but keeps this information from him, presumably to fulfill his own ends. While Zaccone may try to manipulate Edmund to get his way, he is also fiercely protective of him, as he understands the Edmunds death would mean his own. To everyone else, he frequently appears brash and cocky, feeling that he and Edmund are superior.

History: Edmund is the by product of a controlled breeding experiment. He was created to be an ultimate weapon, with above average strength and speed, a poisons bite from the snake that is his tail, and the ability to weild rapiers with his ears. However, in his infancy, he was smuggled away from those who created him by some one he only identifies as mother. She raised him alone, away from other herla, until her own death of illness. Her last words to him were "Grow strong, so you can protect everyone." It is a request he has taken to heart. While he never received any of the training he was meant to, he can use his ears to grapple, or weild sticks as weapons, and is aware of Zaccone's poisonous bite, though he has never used it. Despite this, Edmund hates the concept of voilence, and will try anything to avoid it.

Having been raised away from other herla, he often has a hard time interacting with others, and can be quite shy. His mother taught him how to survive in the wild by himself, but he is unaware of how to survive in society. The strong urge he feels to protect others can also frequently cause him to over react to situations that he believe may be dangerous, even when those around him know them to be safe.

Zaccone on the other hand is much more aware of the ways of the world and society. Never requiring sleep, Zaccone is Edmund's constant protector, and was given a different request from Edmund's dying mother. "Protect Edmund." Having often had conversations with Edmund's mother while he was asleep, Zaccone is quite aware of who breed Edmund, and why, though he does not share this information with anyone. Through his interactions with Edmund he tries to influence his behavior and attitudes, to bring him closer to his full potential, under the fear that some day they may find others like themselves. Despite this, Zaccone will do anything and everything in his power to protect Himself, and Edmund.

Personality: Inquisitive, but easily startled.
History: Faria was the first creature Edmund met after his mother's death. Or rather Faria, and the bear cub chasing him. After saving Faria, the little foxlet has never been to far from his side, either from gratitude, or fear that something less kind might find him next. While Faria is not known to be brave, he will often muster his courage to assist Edmund.

Personality: La Sha strongly believes she is an exotic beauty, unparalleled by her peers. But despite this, she tries to always be nice to all those that she considers to be, well, less fortunate. After all, not everyone can be beautiful, right?

History: La Sha was born in to another tribe, to parents that were among the most beautiful of her people. When a rival appeared in her community, whose beauty surpassed her own, she did the only thing she could think of. She left. After wandering a while she came to the Hartlands, where she found no one who compared to her own beauty. Of course the fact that they just might not have the same sense of aesthetics never even crossed her mind.

History: Growing up, Damian watched his father in action, and learned his lessons well. If his father hadn't been a con man, this might have been a good thing. Instead, Damian learned that every man has his price, and nothing is sacred. Not caring for material possessions, Damian instead plies his skills to try to win something a little more, personal.

History: From the Day he was born, Arturio Clankenspiel was driven to understand the world around him. Given a toy, he would take it apart, and put it back together, usually multiple times.
