There isn't as much activity in this guild as there used to be. I'm not even posting here that much. I've been a bit busy with school. Hopefully this guild comes back alive. So discuss the playoffs here!

There's no doubt in my mind that the Lakers will beat the Nuggets. Whether they sweep them or beat them in seven. Bulls fans are probably depressed since Rose is injured. I think the Heat will definitely make it to the finals now. The only other team I see that has a shot now is the Pacers.

I think the sixers have a chance now. If jrue keeps playing like that and they continue to play good d, they could win!

Over and Over76 I think the sixers have a chance now. If jrue keeps playing like that and they continue to play good d, they could win! I agree, the Sixers have a good shot at making it to the second round, but I'm not sure if they would be able to beat the Celtics or Hawks. And it looks like the Knicks and Mavericks will be swept. I'm not so surprised about the Knicks, but I thought the Mavericks would have at least won two games. Lakers also have a shot at taking a commanding 3-0 lead for a chance to sweep.

Lakers lose to the Nuggets 99-84. The Lakers just couldn't come back. No stops on defense. Lawson and Faried kept getting into the paint and Kobe never scored since the third quarter. Oh well, I'm still confident that the Lakers will take this series in five or six.

I had faith in the Nuggets, and it is possible that they could beat this Lakers squad. They need Ty Lawson to go out there perform every night, and for Danilo to play even tighter D on Kobe. This could be an outstanding series, however, Clippers-Grizzlies will be the best series of the first round.

Seth Kaboto Heat is killing the Knicks sad The Thunder brought out the brooms on the Mavericks, but the Heat didn't against the Knicks. I didn't think they were going to win that game. My prediction was Heat in five or six, so I guess that will become reality.

And the Lakers take a 3-1 series lead over the Nuggets. They played great offensively in the final minutes of the game. They just can't seem to play great defense because of their speed. I didn't like that flop by Gallinari when Pau set a screen for Kobe. It seems like every team has their main flopper. It used to be Fisher for the Lakers. Anyway, I hope the Lakers take advantage by winning their next game at home.

Lakers fall to the Nuggets 102-99. Down by fifteen, Kobe makes four threes in row and Sessions hit one as well to cut the deficit to three. In the end Kobe took a three and Sessions took the second chance three, but didn't knock it down. I thought they were going to pull a comeback like they did against the Thunder. Hopefully the Lakers play strong in Denver to avoid a game seven.

Am I the only one here?
Nuggets beat the Lakers big time. Hopefully World Peace coming back sparks the team to play better or something.
Win or lose, Lakers for Life!

WheezyXXIV Am I the only one here? Nuggets beat the Lakers big time. Hopefully World Peace coming back sparks the team to play better or something. Win or lose, Lakers for Life! I knew that the Nuggets had a chance against the Lakers the minute the playoff standings were finalized. I wish that I had not picked Lakers-Heat in the finals, because had I known the finalized playoff standings before I made my predictions, I would have had the Nuggets over the Lakers in 7. Ty Lawson is just too good.

I'm glad the Lakers made it to the semis, but I didn't expect the Clippers to beat the Grizzlies on the road. I have to give them credit there. I was hoping the Grizzlies would make it because I feel that they would be a better match-up against the Spurs.
And the Celtics and Heat take game one of their respective series. Celtics in five or six and the Pacers will put up a fight, but will lose in six.

I love when Lebron plays the Celtics, and it was a great series in the playoffs last season. This is gonna be beautiful. My playoff predictions remain the same, Heat over Lakers in 5 to win the NBA Championship.

@Cphiro
Even though you're not a Lakers fan, I like that you think they will make it to the finals, but if they play like they did in game one against the Thunder, then I don't think we'll be seeing the Lakers there. I hope they can pull it together defensively. They need to win game two if they want to get through the second round. Offensively, they just need to do what they did in the first half, which was taking right into the paint. Maybe Bynum should practice passing from the inside.
On a side note, I consider myself a big basketball fan myself. I hate when wear something Lakers related and I get disgusted looks like I'm a bandwagoner or like I don't know anything about basketball just because of that. Sometimes it's just because I'm short and look really young. (I'm 19, but I guess I look like I'm 13-14.) Then, once they someone argues with me, they don't even know what they're talking about or they don't make sense.
