Welcome.
This is my official quest thread for my character Nuala Colghain.
Take a look around I`m sure you`ll find something of interest!
And if you`ve got time, stick around for a crit.
Depending on how this goes, I will also be entering in flatesales.
This is just a place for my idea.

 ESSENTIALS Name: Nuala Colghain
Nickname: Nunu
Age: 19
Social Class: Artisan
Occupation: Currently apprenticed to her mother to breed and train pure bred Lochear for the rich. APPEARANCE Nuala is the tallest in her family, standing at 5'9" and all legs. She is quite lanky, with no hips or breast even visible under her clothing and furs. A lot of people have thought of her as a sickly child, being pale and unable to put on any weight with the exception the muscle needed for her work. Her hair is onyx, curling down in an unruly fashion to just below her chest area, you can sometimes see tiny braids with some of the jewelry she makes in her hair. Her eyes are a stormy blue with some grey in them as if the colors are fighting with each other, sometimes her eyes are more of a silvery blue. Fashion wise, Nuala has no problem wearing riding breaches with a split skirt to hide her legs with riding boots with a small jacket and corset, her mother is constantly trying to get her into a dress when they go out. PERSONALITY Nuala is rather free spirited, slightly rebellious girl, who puts the well being of others before her own. Some people accuse her of being too nice. If Nunu had the last bit of food, she'd fork it over for you depending on the situation. That's just the way she is. Though she has found that her generosity gets her into trouble at times. Such as helping others before doing her chores or not showing up when her mother needs to teach her something. Yes, Nuala is awfully sympathetic and tenderhearted at times.
As soft and gentle as Nuala is, she's particularly headstrong. This woman doesn't let anyone walk all over her, she speaks her mind when she feels the need and has gotten into trouble. She has learned that nobles wont take her words lightly, and tends to hold her tongue more ofte around them.That also leads to her being fearless. Thus far, the two things that have scared the living daylights out of her are getting married to someone she would dislike, and having children. Now this gets us to how stubborn this one is. This girl will not budge when she puts her mind to something. Her indestructible determination is the one thing that keeps her going most of the time.
Then there is Nuala's competitiveness that has gotten her in trouble one to many times when she's trying to beat the boys at something. Most of the time she's quite lax and can accept a loss. Other times... Nuala will go to extreme lengths to win. If she doesn't, it's straight to the corner of woe for her. Obviously she's a potential sore loser. This also means she will come back for your behind when she gets better at whatever she lost at. Which might not take long at all if she's practicing day and night.
Lastly, there is Nuala's temper. She has a quiet temper. When you make her mad, she'll walk it off. And if you REALLY make her explode, expect to be assaulted in one way, or another. Whether it be a push, or even a punch to the face, whatever she can do to hurt you in some way or form will work. Even so, Nunu is quite forgiving, and will even act like nothing happened, but she doesn't forget the stuff you've done to her in the past. Ever. It sticks with her until the day she dies. She doesn't hold grudges, though. She just makes sure to keep those things in mind.ABILITIES Physical: Probably her best attribute, working with Lochear has enabled her to gain quite a bit of muscle in legs, barn work makes sure to keep her upper body just as fit. Nuala has been in a few too many fights as a child, though most people tend to look at her height and shy away. Good thing too, because Nunu would be improvising the fight.
Mental: Not the smartest cookie in the jar, but she's not stupid either. Her mother made sure she got the best education the family could afford, but uala thinks she has no need for anything that doesn't involve Lochear.
Social: Her worst attribute, not only does Nuala have no interest in anything social, but she can never figure out what to say and when to say it, or how to dress appropriately. She simply does not think those things are important and would rather just be by herself and the Lochear. It's a constant battle with her mother, and a losing one for Nuala.
HOBBIES Riding: This shouldn't really come as a surprise, Nuala was practically born on a Lochear. She spends most of her time doing this hobby, and not much else unless her mother puts her up to it.
Jewelry making: Using some of the scrap metal her father doesn't use, Nuala has become quite handy with making jewelry. Her father has helped her a bit with her technique, and she's just starting to introduce jewels to pretty her work up. Her father hopes tis hobby might some day win over her riding so she can become a proper lady.

TOUCHED APPEARANCE When Nuala uses magic, the most obvious change that happens is the ethereal looking wide branching antlers that begin to grow from the sides of her head, the more she uses her magic, the bigger they seem to get. These antlers are white and ghostly in appearance weighing nothing atop her head, if one were to try and touch them, their hand would go through them. When Nuala will have mastered her magic, thin, barely visible golden links will connect the horns. MAGIC Level One - Nuala seems to be able to move more quickly and effortlessly, she has gained a small amount of a speed increase that she must constantly concentrate to keep up else she will stumble.
Level Two - Now mastered, Nuala has gained a greater speed increase and her movements are far more fluid. She can run at the same speed as a Hernbrau if not faster and more agile than the animals.

Waaah, okay, sorry for the delay. Just a couple questions, things I'd like you to think about [and tell us about?] before we stamp off on your profile. 1) You say she never lets anyone walk over her. What about Swords / Nobles? I assume she tolerates them, since if she didn't, she'd get her a** handed to her. (; 2) You say that her father both taught her how to use a bow and makes jewelry? I'd like you to either choose one or the other -- and, honestly, I think the jewelry's more interesting, especially since you'd never have a reason to hunt in this lifestyle, nor would she need a bow to train Lochear. 3) If you go for her father being a jeweler, I'd like to hear how come she's training beasts instead. I mean, jewelry making would definitely be more profitable/higher class, unless they breed specialty riding beasts? 'Purebreeds'? This might also account for how much free time you're giving her, as this would be a much less hard lifestyle than regular old ranching. 4) The outfit -- she'd be more likely in a split/riding skirt than pants, or else people would whisper behind her back [maybe even to her face] about her lax moral fiber, about the hussy showing off her legs. Also, it's a bit cold, for someone who's working outside a lot, and a bit tight for someone who's going to be riding / working with animals! But this can be taken up some with the colorists, perhaps, if you get art. Just keep it in mind. I like the touched a lot, actually, both appearance and ability!

Five milion years later D:
Finally get to this!
1) Fixed that up smile
2) Deceided to just make her dad a jewelry maker.
3) Went with the Dad as a jewlery maker and her mom as a purebred breeder! I liked the interesting combo XD
4) Added a riding skirt to her! I didnt know what to make her wear, so I just went with what people wear right now to ride horses XP
