Airi

The wind blew Airi's face with mercy, she closed her eyes and took in the air, Tea turned and made his descent slowly. Soon enough they landed at the front door. Airi hoped off with the help of her air bending. Tea nudged her and she scratched underneath his chin, "Don't worry, I'm not going inside." She whispered, it was one of those rare moments that Airi wasn't loud or lively. She gave Tea's face a hug then walked forward a bit. She stared up at the cold metal. It was a statue of Avatar Aang, a memorial for him. Airi couldn't help but let a small smile slip when she remembered the stories her previous teacher told her. The crazy tales of Aang and Team Avatar, him and his friends who were nothing more than a bunch of kids. Kids that saved the world, that changed the world. Kids who were there for each other no matter what. The things they did and the places they went. Nothing could replace those stories, those wondrous stories. Just hearing about him grew something inside Airi, she wished she could meet Aang so badly. The boy who had the courage and strength to defeat the Fire Nation, the man who built this amazing city filled of all kinds of people. It was a fantastic story, a fantastic Avatar. And this statue didn't come close to meeting the real one, but it had to be Airi's replacement. "Thank you." She whispered softly. Wind blew across her face once again, Tea made a sound and pressed his face against Airi's. "I'm fine Tea, thank you." She ran her fingers across his soft white fur. He stuck out his tongue and licked Airi. She laughed, "Geez Tea, I love you too but really that's too much." She hugged his face, and took one last look at the statue. "Let's go."
