Manaloa'mini was very happy with how well everyone was doing within the clan. She worried quite a bit about her fellow felines and how well they were doing. Right now she was patrolling the borders of their lands. There wasn't much else for her to do at the moment. The catch was good all week so she had no need to help the lawaiʻa. Even a queen had work to help out. She smiled as she felt the eyes of one of the koa watching her. Of course, they were protective of her.
Her eyes scanned over the green grass that steadily dried out into the savannah, looking for any wanderers. Their lands were connected to a fresh water lake so they usually had others come through to eat or fish.

Tadeo hated it, having to travel along the ground with the rest of the animals. He didn't know why, but just having his paws on the low ground gave him a sickening sense of paranoia that caused him to constantly pause and look over his shoulders. He would gladly take up the chance to dart up a tree, or escape to higher ground so that he could at least have the advantage of being able to get a better visual of his surroundings and those who are wondering around, but that wasn't a choice right now, so he reluctantly forced himself to push forward.
It didn't take long for the dark coated leopard to pause. His eyes widened, and ears flattened against his head as he sank low in to the grass. Someone was around, he knew it. He could feel it in his skin, smell them in the air, but he just couldn't see them. And the thought of them being able to see him, well that didn't sit so well for him.
"Damn it all...." he whispered to himself.

Mini's head lifted as she smelled something unfamiliar drifting on the slight breeze that whispered through the grass. Her nose was high as she tried to figure it out. A stranger was on their land. She could tell because whatever it was smelled dry. It was the only way for her to describe it. As one from a clan that lived off a lake, they all had a certain wet kind of smell to them. This stranger smelled of dry dirt and dry grass, not at all like those in her clan.
She continued in the direction the scent came from. It was then that she noticed something dark lying in the grass. She felt her muscles relax a bit. Good, it wasn't a pale one. Not wanting to scare her or him away, she stopped. Some rogues didn't like their personal space invaded that much. "Hello." Mini called out. "There is no reason to fear me. We are peaceful." At least to those with the right coat but they didn't need to know that right now.
