The new donation items seem to just be different variations of OLD items. They need new ideas, like Angel Wings or something, that would be cool, and something the donation items are missing, the Demonic Pendant is alright, but the angelic bracelet is just a sign that they are running out of ideas, the OMFG and BTK are somewhat ok, but are just cheaper variations of the OMG and AFK. New ideas are needed quickly IMO, I think if the Feb '05 items aren't good, then they should allow members to voice opinions and give ideas for new donation items.
Anyone else agree/disagree?

I agree with you whee the items have turned out kind of boring, but they'll get better.
Rumors have spread about better donation items coming out soon.
(Me thinks a nitemare sash, and an Angelic tail type item will be released soon, and hopefully nitemare and angelic wings (As an equippable back item) (Ex. Fairy Wings). Little Monkey and bear slippers would be pretty cool xd

Most "unoriginal" items were made so people who wanted OMG's could just buy the cheaper OMFG, etc. They can't please everyone, heh. I can't wait for the NM sash and the angelic tails, though. I've also wanted grizzly/panda earmuffs or slippers forever. crying

The NM Sash's will be cool...But they will be widely used...Lol
Sorta like the Demonic Pendant, I have no desire to have one, since it's cheap, and the angelic pendant is better XD.

OMFG won't replace the OMG in my mind xp It's not a bad hat, though.
And I like the demonic pendant more, but it fits with the way I dress my avatars more than the angelic one. And what would an angelic tail look like....?
I just hope they keep the donation items to clothing, accesories, and weapons, and don't give out furnature. I'm not against housing, but I'd rather dress my avatar up than a house.

Well they didn't give out fishing rods so it probably won't be furniture... and OMFG's are -exactly- like OMG's, but it's just there as an option when you can't give up 250k+. whee
And I think angelic tails would be bluish white like all the other angelic items, but maybe with a bit of white fur at the tip like a lion's tail, or someone once suggested a heart at the tip, upside down so the shape is almost identical to the devil tail. xD

I also like an idea I heard in Q&F a while back- Zodiac items. Like a fish tail for pisces, etc. And Chinese zodiac items too... Mmm, dragon wings/tails would be SO awesome 3nodding But that's not very likely.

This are Sabin The admins have specifically expressed their thoughts on this issue, and have a quest sort of thing planned eventually because they want them to be difficult to get. I have to agree, since I really don't like the idea of every user on Gaia wearing wings.

My only issue with that is that they would probably have to release 6 months to a years worth in a row of donation items for that, and I think it would spoil the suprise. Besides, a lot of those items would probably look REALLY silly. Though I would love cancer pincers. biggrin

I guess she means the angelic headbands. I still wouldn't mind even the exact same thing, just sticking out from my back. whee However, something tells me the back wings won't both be sticking out longways, one wing may be folded or in front of the avatar a little due to the size of the avatar "box".
