There is a lot of hype amongst the Metal Gear Solid community about Rising, a game that will be focusing on Raiden and his beginnings as a cyber ninja.
While yes, I agree that it is an interesting concept, I disagree with the fact that it should be made into a game. I personally would have been more inclined to buy it if it was related to Boss and her Cobras, because I think that that would make a far more interesting playing experience. We'd learn more about the Mother of Special Forces, and what caused her to become what she was right before her death.
Flashbacks can do only so much, I'm disappointed with this new game coming out, but what are your thoughts?

Though Metal Gear Rising sounds interesting to play, gameplay wise, but not as a Metal Gear game. Like Randomacity said, the past story behind The Boss and her Cobras sound far more interesting than Rising. But those are just my thoughts.

It seems to me that the whole plotline was just rushed, and was pushed by the hype about the new design for Raiden. From what I heard (Rumor-Wise), Hideo Kojima didn't even want to make the game. Though that's just fan speculation.
