Von Helson Army Identification Cards

Alright, the rest of the Mods and I have redone the ranking system to make everything more organized and understandable. This is how the ranking system will work:

Every member will start out as a Private. But do not worry, if you prove yourself to be a valuable member of the army, and loyal supporter of the Von Helson Sisters you will soon rise in rank. The next rank you can climb to will be Corporal. After that will come Sergeant, Liutenant, Captain, Major, and Colonel. These are the ranks in the U.S. Army, if you were wondering. We just simplified them. *did good research* mrgreen

Now, General will be reserved for Nev, GRIM, and myself. I will not give out 50 million special ranks this time around. Commander in Chief will only go to the one and only DapperDanMan. heart

How to get an ID

Now, all you have to do is post when you joined. If you want me to use a different avatar for your card, that's fine, just put a picture of that avatar in your post. If you don't know what specific day you joined, but can give other information that would be great. Like, the day someone else joined, or the first day the guild was opened, or the day of the Ball, etc. Also, if you were here before the GGN guild was made (Feb. 20th), then tell me so because it means you are on Feb. 19th.

How to save to your own server

How to put images in your siggy
There are a lot of steps, because I simplefied the steps as much as possible. It's not as hard as it may seem. 3nodding

Step 1: Right click on the image and choose "Save Picture As..." Save the image to a place on your harddrive.

Step 2: Sign up with an image host such as http://www.photobucket.com/.

Step 3: Upload the image to your image host.

Step 4: On Gaia, click on PROFILE, the Edit Profile. Scroll down the screen until you see the box across from the word "Signature."

Step 5: In that big box, type in User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

. Between these two img tags, place the URL of your image hosted on photobucket, or whatever other host you signed up with.

Step 6: Click Submit at the bottom of the page and you are done! Unless you want to link the guild with your image...

How to link the guild with your image

Step 1: Complete all the steps for putting an image into your signature.

Step 2: Right before you have User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

and after the [/img] place .

Step 3: Now, in between the = and the ] in the URL tag, type in http://tinyurl.com/3tdqo

Step 4: Click Submit and the image in your siggy should now be linked to the guild!

Alright, I will be making ID Cards to put in your Siggy. You can use it to link back to the guild, or just to be proud of, it doesn't matter much. (Thought linking back to the guild in some way would be awesome so people can find us 3nodding )

If you want one, all I need you to do is to post what day it was when you joined and what rank you would like. There are ranks I can give you, and ranks that are reserved. If you don't know that you are of a reserved rank, you probably aren't. sweatdrop

And if you are a spy, I can make one that says spy, and you can just keep it a secret, if you don't want to give away your loyalty when conversing with the enemy.

The ranks:
Commander (reserved)
2nd in Command (reserved)
Master Debator (reserved)
Guild Moderator (reserved)
Liutenant (reserved)
Soldier (for your normal VH supporter)
Spy (for spys...duh)
Assassin (for especially violent VH defenders)

If anyone can think of any other ranks, tell me, and I'll be sure to credit you. heart

My bad, I didn't see Assassin on the bottem sweatdrop . Ya theirs a difference between an assassin and a mercenary, mercaneries are paid to kill and are muraders, and canbe spys if they wish to give info on past missions

Understandable. If the Mercinary had the card then their more likly to be attacked then heard from unless they p.m. the leader of the group for recamendations to the enemy thread. And it's human nature that the sercreat Mercenary whould not stay secreat among other threads is they attack one hard, unless he has multiple i.d.'s.

I dunno. Should their be a limit? I was just gonna leave it open to however many wanted to be more violent than a normal soldier.

Yeah, I was thinking of you when I made the assassin rank. I wanted to make sure there was something special for you and your fellow violent people and still have something for the people who didn't want to rip the anti-Von Helsonites to little pieces. biggrin
