This thread is just for setting up the actual combat event. Since I don't know exactly what I'm doing I figured I'd let people weigh in on things.

So, I figured the event would start with Alex ambushing Feradeth and crew in their ship while they're doing a raid on somewhere on a habitable planet.

I figured I'd give the ship 2000 HP with Alex's mech having 3000 HP.

Both units would roll two 100 sided dice everyturn. Highest roll wins and the resulting damage is the difference.

I know there's a large discrepency in HP which I figured could be made up by the fact that once the ship is unable to fight any longer Feradeth and his crew would join in.

I figured I'd give the crew 1000 HP altogether. And alternate between rolling 1 and 2 dice per turn.

Normal combatants would have 500 HP and only roll 1 dice.

I was thinking about bringing in SP and the like as well.

Everyone starts with 500 SP. And if they manage to roll a 100 they get another 500 SP.

The only thing I've thought about for SP is the ability to launch an ultimate attack for 500 SP which would consist of rolling 5 100 sided dice. But then only being able to roll 5 10 sided die for five turns. Or something like that.

I was also planning on making specific abilities for specific characters instead of just generalized stuff. But that would require everyone who wants to participate to register for the fight so that can be worked out beforehand.

Would Feradeth's crew still roll two 100s after the ship is destroyed?

They would every other turn. So their first roll would be only a single dice. Their next roll 2. The roll after that 1. The roll after that 2. And so on and so forth.

I'm operating under the assumption that Feradeth is going to have more allies than Alex. Also, I figured Feradeth would be fighting alongside the crew as well.

But I'm not sure who to join. Who wants the Immortal Weapons Master with the Soul of the God of the White Sun, Animus? Of course it'll only be Me, Animus will only be in whatever the SP works in.

Who do you think Visher would rather join? A dishonorable pirate? Or the guy that makes weapons for a living?

Though if I end up with more people on Alex's side I'll probably have to nerf Harbinger. Or I suppose buff the ship. One or the other.

I do like Weapons... I could be a Main force for Alex. If there's ground war fair, I could be ya ground Force with a set team. Get past us and get to the ship?

Kinda hoping Helios will weigh in on some of this as well and maybe get some Feradeth supporters.

@Vish: Well unless Visher can fly chances are he's going to have to wait to join in til after Alex ground's Feradeth's cruiser. Also, I figured Alex could custom make a weapon for Visher to repay the assistance. In fact he'll probably do that for everyone who helps him.

Oh and random request. Everyone who posts in here roll 5 100 sided dice so I can get an idea of the point spread on it.

I was thinking about what to do about Puppet, who can't fly either, then I remembered that the stolen prototype provided Puppet with data for energy based gear

In that case, I could be a Main defense if they get on the ship, Which they most likely will. Just tell me where to set up and I'll keep'em back.

I could help with anything in the Armory. I am a Weapons Master. Also, In need be I can call in the GRE-Remnant's Fleet to assist.

And to get to Ian, Brian need's to learn how the Dice act when we roll so he can do the Maths. Also you could totally join Either as a Merc or somethin'.

To add more detail. I want to see if 5 dice at once is powerful enough to justify nerfing a person for three turns and basically preventing them from using any more special rolls.

@Visher: o.O This isn't a massive military engagement. At least I don't think it is. The size of the engagement really depends on just how big of a ship Feradeth has. I don't think he has a capital ship.

Though if it is a capital ship that would be pretty bitching. Instead of grounding it and letting the crew evacuate to continue the fight we could board it. Which would be awesome.
