According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, HBO has renewed its hit fantasy series Game of Thrones for a third season. After two seasons which will tell the stories of the first two books of George R. R. Martin's series of "Song of Ice and Fire" novels from which the characters are derived, the third season will reportedly not attempt to tell the whole epic of A Storm of Swords in one year, opting instead to break it up over two seasons, assuming that there will be a season four. While the first two seasons were ten episodes long, the network has not yet confirmed that will be the order for season three. "As George and all his fans have said for a long time, there's no way to do [Swords] in a single season, so it's being broken into two," executive producer David Benioff told Entertinment Weekly in a separate, recent interview. "We're still kind of figuring out exactly what goes where. We don't want it to feel like a two-part season."
So let me know what you guys think about the show being renewed and confirmed for a third 3rd season. I myself am super excited to hear that and look forward to many more seasons to come from the show. I think as long as nothing goes wrong we will see a storm of swords fill up season 4 and possibly several of the other books being split into 2 seasons to make the show even longer than 7 seasons total. It is possible we could see on hbo 10 seasons or so.
James R.R. Martin? pretty sure his name is George.
Lol, I fixed that but turns out that guy is an actualy author. The guy I got the video from had that in the describtion, so I copyed and pasted it with the video.

I'm pretty sure they signed a contract for seasons 3 and 4 but I'm not 100% on that.

I really look forward to this season. The third book remains until now my favourite (with ADwD probably being second to it), and I'm really curious how many scenes will be shown. I'm also curious about how Stannis will be shown. I started liking him (and supporting him) while reading the third book.
