Ardrick walks to the top of the deck and starts shouting commands to prepare for takeoff. Everyone becomes gay with exitement and glee. Everyone not coming is at port to see us off. Just as the loading bridge is about to be removed, Sylvester comes hobbling down the street as fast as possible.
"ARDY!" Syvester roars. "Sylvester!" Ardrick roars.
They let Sylvester on and finish taking down the bridge.
"OFF WE GO!"

Jack lies panting on the deck. Although he knows that there's bound to be duties to attend to he can't bring himself to stand. Having slept longer than he had intended he had little time to prepare himself for the long journey. He had quickly snatched up all possessions of most the obvious importance and ran to the dock. The sudden rush of blood to the head, the heat and the hangover had all combined into a terrible headache. It was only when he awoke that he noticed he had missed the departure.
"..UUuugh..."
He moans. He struggles to his feat and starts to stumble around the deck attending (rather unenthusiastically) to work around deck. He had been unwilling to accept Merlin's advice about avoiding alcohol and was paying for it now. He looks and feels terrible.

Jack now realizes why there's bruise on his hip.
"Aye, I'll er...take me "luggage" down stairs...*ahem*..."
Jack takes the dinky little package. He clasps it in a possessive manner and scurries below deck.

Ardrick pulls out his telescope and puts it up to his good eye.
"No land anywhere around us... Just the way I like i'."
Ardrick puts his telescope away.
"Full speed ahead! Patrick, head straight fer Alaska. We won't be needin' ta make any stops first time up."

During the whole departure and the like, Orion had been napping up in the crows nest, knowing damn well no one would bother her up there. She had already set her belongings in her cabin, but felt a nap outside with the open sea air would be nice.

Finally the ship had made it to the open sea and she took in it's glory. The wind, the smell the great wide blue. She turned around to the deck and took off her black gloves. Underneath her hands were covered in callus' from the sixteen years of working on ships, sixteen years since she met her father.
She pocketed the gloves and went round inspectiong the guns and making sure that they were loaded and ready. All they needed were to be lighted and they would go off. Knowing that all was well she made to the captain.
"Been , wot, three years zince I've been on a zhip."
She felt the rail of the ship and looked out to the ocean.

"Has it now? Its been 2 years fer me now. 'Tis nice being back a' the open sea. By the way, I've been meanin' ta talk wit' ye. Well, ye only 'ave one useful eye an' ye haven't been on the guns in three years, so... I thought I'd 'elp ye find yer miscalculations. Ye see, ye might think ye 'ave the right aim, bu' ye are off a certain way by a certain amount ev'ry time. So, I've assigned Kurisutofa ta be Secondary Gunner, 'e'll be 'elping ye out... fer a while a'least."
Ardrick cringes in fear of what the response might be.

"Wot! Kurisutofa's on ze zhip!" She cringes and grabs at the air front of her in anger, flapping her arms around her face like swatting away a large fly. After her little fit with the air she turned sarply around. "Zamn scar. Tis ze scar of memories an' burnden, or as me father said 'Teh scar of love'." Still out of breath from her explotion but seemingly calm, she petted her father's pistol from where it hung on its strap.

Ardrick scurries away before Zammap can take out her anger on him. Thats when he notices Orion is still laying down in the crows nest. He hits the mast. She looks down.
"Ge' up! We need ye down 'ere too."

Easy does it---ooff *With quite a bit of trouble Wickit stands up. He limps to a near by mop for support and uses it as a crutch. He opens the door and heads to the deck. collapsing several times* Gah... what's wrong with me... a little squable and now I can't walk right...

{SAILOR PATRICK}
Its nightime now and Sailor Patrick is navigating. He turns around to see Wickit limping towards him.
"Arr... shouldn' ye be restin'."
As Wickit continues on, unhindered:
"Er... well, I guess I'll let ye do yer job, but I insist on atleast waiting here and makin' sure ye stay alright. Ardrick knew ye would do this and he tol' me what ta do. I'll be sittin' over 'ere if ye need me."
He sits down on the slightly lower main deck and keeps his eye on Wickit.

*As the day turns to night, Kurisutofa awakes and looks up to see the stars above. Tucked & nustled upon the net that lie'd suspended underneath the bow'head and Jib, Kurisutofa had been fast asleep for the past 24 hours. Before they'd departed from Provoka, he'd been repainting the figurehead and had been putting on the finishing touches when he had been hit with a beam of sunshine.
In a fit of noonday laziness, Kurisutofa had curled up into a ball and had fallen asleep. As his eye focused, he realised that he had been lying upon the paint brush, resulting in splotches all over his coat.*
WHY GOD? WHY? IT'S BEEN NOTHING BUT THE BEST COAT TO ME!!
*With a tear, he removes his hat and kneels at the edge of the net*
"I now commend thy canvas body to the deep, Awaiting the day when the Sea shall give up her dead. May you Rest in Peace..."
*With a deep sigh, he let fly his coat. It fluttered for a moment and then descended into the clear crushing blue depths.*
Oh well... I'll find another.
*Climbing up the cathead and over the hawse, he volted over the headrail and landed with a thud upon the deck. It was amazing to see his handywork in action. When he'd first seen the Sea Scourge, she was naught but a keel and framing. Now, she was a grand sloop. Beautiful lines and a slim, fast bow. He hadn't expected Northernly Expeditions though. It very well could turn for the worse if Icebergs made themselves known. A good sized berg could kill the Scourge.
Walking up the stairs to the Quarterdeck, he placed his hand upon the wheelhouse and glared into the dark waters. Looking to Mr. Patrick, he says*
"Wonderful night. Definitley a night for a nice warm peacoat.... The stars are out in force tonight, they are. Be you navigating by them, or by chart? Celestrial Navigation is a dying artform... to bad really."
