Lolicon, or Rorikon refers to sexual anime-style artwork, such as manga, portraying children. Most of these are produced in Japan. They are usually of females between the apparent ages of 8 and 13, though sometimes much younger. Lolicon illustrations are generally legal in Japan, although pornography, including illustrations, that use actual children were outlawed in 2000.
Lolicon is a frequent subject of scholarly articles in Japan, where it is a widespread phenomenon. Many general bookstores and newsstands openly offer illustrated lolicon material.
So, I was wondering:
Is lolicon illegal in the states?
Does it have a general following here as well?

LOLICON HAS a following to a limited degree in the states and YES IT CANNOT BE TRANSMITTED IN ANY FORM, FORUM, ETC AS IT IS VIEWED AS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND IS PUNISHABLE UP TO 100,000.00 DOLLARS US AND 17 YEARS AUTOMATIC INPRISONMENT FOR FIRST OFFENSE THAT IS NOT STATE WIDE IT IS UNITED STATES WIDE = FEDERAL OFFENSE why do you think we have people who portray them selves as teens but their siggy says FEDERAL child exploitation services or some thing to that effect.

Lolicon is not illegal in the US to the extent of my knowledge.. The.. Models.. Aren't actually alive so it can't be viewed as child pornography, I mean, a character could be 100 years old in context of the drawing, but have the apperance of a ten year old.. Unless they've updated the laws since I last checked.
I did read this thing on the Heaven's though.. 'twas about this guy who was convicted and sent to prison for possesing child pornography. He was released and he looked at lolicon and he was sent back to prison for that. So.. Er.. Yeah.. It's not illegal unless you have a prior conviction for child pornography.
Yumi knows people from the states who have it..

311.1. (a) Every person who knowingly sends or causes to be sent,
or brings or causes to be brought, into this state for sale or
distribution, or in this state possesses, prepares, publishes,
produces, develops, duplicates, or prints any representation of
information, data, or image, including, but not limited to, any film,
filmstrip, photograph, negative, slide, photocopy, videotape, video
laser disc, computer hardware, computer software, computer floppy
disc, data storage media, CD-ROM, or computer-generated equipment or
any other computer-generated image that contains or incorporates in
any manner, any film or filmstrip, with intent to distribute or to
exhibit to, or to exchange with, others, or who offers to distribute,
distributes, or exhibits to, or exchanges with, others, any obscene
matter, knowing that the matter depicts a person under the age of 18
years personally engaging in or personally simulating sexual conduct,
as defined in Section 311.4, shall be punished either by
imprisonment in the county jail for up to one year, by a fine not to
exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both the fine and
imprisonment, or by imprisonment in the state prison, by a fine not
to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by the fine and
imprisonment.
California codes and yes there is the same for each state in the union but fifty laws answerring this question in its intricate workings takes a lawyer this is all from the net.

well it takes a lawyer to answer it and each state is much like the same
ILLEGAL as it is considered child pornography. even TOTORRO had a lot left on the edit floor when it cme to america.
