It became attached to Jordi and didn't want to leave her, so Jordi kept her hidden with the help of her younger brother, Trip. After the outbreak Trip went missing, though presumed alive. When the apocalypse first started, even though he was able to use the twin pistols Himawari gave him, he still fled, letting his parents die.
