[If you want a mission, simply peruse the available mission list and post with your character. It'd be wise to have your partner around or at least notified of what you're doing too. Keep in mind you'll be looking at the mission bulletin board, picking out a mission, sorting out the people going along, and getting approved by the mission lady.]

User Image

Whenever a Weapon-Meister pair decide to further themselves and their soul count, they usually refer to these bulletin boards to peruse the various missions available to them. Most are for one or two-star meisters, but sometimes a three-star mission will come up, though this is quite rare.

Information posted on the mission sheets include the following:

☠ - Acceptance Requirements: Does the Meister/Weapon need Soul Perception for the mission? Should they be a certain personality set? Do they mind extended stays in certain areas of the world? These kinds of things are covered in the requirements and double-checked by the receptionist who approves missions.
☠ - Location: Where exactly the mission is set or the general area where one can expect to find a certain target.
☠ - Details: Background information on the mission. Normally, this has all known intelligence regarding the Evil Human or whatever else is causing the disturbance present on the paper. However, for missions that involve investigation of some abnormal activities, this may not be the case. Such missions are usually spent relaying known information to either Shinigami-sama or a lesser contact in Shibusen whenever necessary so that these newfound details can be filed away.
☠ - Partners: For most one-star missions, it'll only require one Weapon-Meister pair to go. For most two-star missions, it'll usually have 2-5 pairs of one-star Meisters required, though a single two-star Weapon-Meister pair can handle most of these on their lonesome. No matter what the requirements, though, multiple pairs can take on the same assignment should they wish to (though they would have to work together and split any souls they may acquire by doing so).

User Image

Once a Weapon-Meister pair or a group of pairs have selected a mission, they take the paper to the receptionist woman's booth - built into the wall opposite the bulletin board - and have her approve it. Once approved, they will head off to the location of the mission wherein they will stay until it is completed or failed.

Mission Board Status - [Need overseers.]
PostPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 9:36 pm

Sample to show you how it works:

Quote:
V for Vendett.

☠ Details: In a remote town set in the UK, there has been a series of explosions going off. No connection between them has been established yet, but rumors speak of a Pre-Kishin who may be committing the crimes. They are calling him "Guy Fawkes". All the explosions have resulted in high casualities.

☠ Requirements: Soul Perception is unnecessary, but quick reflexes are required. High intelligence also recommended, as well as a calm mind. Weapon requirements are unspecific.

☠ Location: The UK, in a little town known as Vendett.

☠ Partners: Could be accomplished by a single pair. Two pairs recommended.

To submit a mission, simply make sure you can meet the requirements for mission information in the status and send it to xDemonhornzx. The mission will have to be run by the submitter or by a Crew member who gets all the details of the role they're supposed to play in this mission. However, the submitter cannot run the mission (like be an enemy Pre-Kishin for example) and still be a Meister/Weapon working in it so as to avoid fighting oneself.

If you take a mission, you can still post in the Roleplay world subforum separately. So if you're in a mission, you don't have to remove yourself from the RP altogether. You'll just have the Mission thread on the side.

Available Missions:

------------------------------------++++++++++++++++++++++-------------------------------

1. Joseph Kallinger and "Charlie" - One Star Mission.

☠ Details: Kallinger is a bizarre breed of Kishin Egg. He himself is completely human and is enslaved by a disembodied head bearing a steel bear trap-like mandible. Long leather-like tendrils trail down the creature's neck as well. "Charlie", as Kallinger calls him, is responsible for the manipulation of Kallinger's body by some means that we are sure has to do with the 6 tendril appendages that hang from Charlie's neck. Your mission is to hunt and defeat "Charlie". Kallinger is not to be harmed more than deemed necessary by the meister but killing Kallinger is an offense to DWMA and will result in the loss of all the souls acquired during this mission. It is believed that "Charlie " may in fact be multiple Kishin due to the fact that 3 attempts to hunt Charlie have been deemed successful though the soul mysteriously vanishes only to reform elsewhere. It is also possible that Kallinger possesses some sort of item that holds Charlie's corrupted soul as a type of phylactery. Both theories are strictly speculation and research is needed.

☠ Requirements: Soul Perception is necessary. You will be granted a radar-like skill to specifically track Kallinger, this does not mean that Charlie will be nearby. You will use him to find Charlie's secret without drawing his attention. Research is a must. If Kishin have a way to preserve themselves despite being reaped we must know how to combat it. I cannot stress enough this last requirement enough Kallinger is not to be harmed. He is to be apprehended and brought in for questioning. Charlie is clearly intelligent and will require more finesse than power.

☠ Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA)

☠ Partners: One team required: subtlety is a must. It is also recommended that high aggro weapons sit this one out.

2. The Vampire of Sacramento - One Star Mission

☠ - Details: Richard Chase, a once schizophrenic, is responsible for the deaths of 21 humans as well as the consumption of their blood, bodies and souls. Chase is considered very dangerous and his insane rampage cannot be allowed to continue. Your mission is to find, subdue and consume the soul of Richard Chase aka: "The Vampire of Sacramento". Your target is fast and depends upon sharp claws and a vicious bite combined with hit and run tactics to cripple and maim a foe before dismembering and consuming them. Your target is also cowardly and will run at the threat of being defeated. Efficiency will be the key to your success. Conditions of failure of the mission will be as follows: Death or allowing Chase to escape. A side note: Chase is very primal despite his talent as a hunter and also has a severe hatred for rabbits and birds.

☠ - Requirements: Soul Perception will make finding Chase easier due to his difficulty to track but it is not required. A meister who specializes in speed or reflex would be beneficial as would a high intellect if you would prefer to trap Chase. Fire arm and Projectile Weapons are not recommended. Due to his location, going unnoticed is a must.

☠ - Location: Sacramento, California (USA)

☠ - Partners: One - Two teams

3. The Early Bird Gets The Worm - One Star Mission

☠ - Details: Local Officials have caught the criminals that did the same crimes as the criminals now. The time is ever similar. However there is almost no information on who the new criminals are. The original criminals were told to be executed along time ago but after their electrocution all that was left were two feathers, seagull feathers. Another day, one of the stores the new criminals have attacked, a def cashier was able to tell that when they walked into the store, all that was taken was the money and GUMMY WORMS. Many other stores who supply gummy worms were attacked as well. Other stores are frightened for they wonder what will happen to them.

☠ - Acceptance Requirements: Soul Perception is useful but not necessary. You do need to however good senses such as sight smell and noise. People in relationships would normally do well in a case like this.

☠ - Location: California, Eureka. Eureka is the largest Pacific coastal city between San Francisco and Portland, Oregon.

☠ - Partners: Anyone who is able to take on this mission is allowed to do so.

4. The Portal Labyrinth - Two-Star Mission

☠ - Details: A strange swirling portal appeared near Death City recently, several groups of people have been sent in, but we have lost almost all of them. The only team to return has informed us that inside the portal there is a sprawling labyrinth. The people entering the labyrinth can choose the location the first portal sends them to. For example, whether the labyrinth is in a mountain range, desert, under the ocean (you can breath the water like air here so it is assumed to be an illusion), a forest, or near an active volcano is up to them. After the first portal, however, the locations are randomized. The Labyrinth is believed to be riddled with traps and kishin.

☠ - Acceptance Requirements: Good intellect and high endurance is surely a must.

☠ - Location: Desert Oasis near Death City.

☠ - Partners: 3 Weapon/Meister pairs recommended.

Reward: 75 Kishin Souls and salvageable treasure.

5. Spring Heel Jack - One-Star Mission

☠ Details: In our very town a killer has appeared claiming four people already. He can somehow jump as high as two stories and carries with him two daggers and throwing knives across his belt. He is often seen in black robes and attacks at night.Whenever anyone confronts Jack he runs away with no trace, even his soul is said to vanish from soul perception. The fact a random man can be so troubling is...... Troubling. Kill on site and claim his soul.

☠ Requirements: One must be able to move fast enough to track this man. Souls perception isn't required, just about any student with skill can take this mission.

☠ Location: Death City

☠ Partners: One Pair.

6. Cavern in the Frozen Tundra - Two-Star Mission

☠ Details: A disturbing number of people have gone missing. A young weapon has reported the case and willing to show the location of an area expected to have a connection with these events. The cavern outside the town is vast and very dark, proceed with caution and apprehend all who seem suspicious. This cavern is to be investigated and all findings must be reported on return. The case is disturbing, and the bodies are thought to be experimentation of a new kishin project. Details other than that are unknown.....

☠ Requirements: One must have a form of souls perception to locate and find the missing souls and the one behind them vanishing. At least one member on the team should be able to use the technique the other pairs will provide backup during investigations.

☠ Location: Russia

☠ Partners: Two - Three pairs required.

7. Does not Compute- 3 star mission

☠ Details: A mechanical weapon being developed by a scientist has gone haywire and has already destroyed a town. This is an emergency situation where common military might doesn't work. We have been told we have full authority on how to proceed as long as it leads to dismantling. Do be careful though this machine can use a combination different weapons that resemble witch's spells, as well as military grade explosives.

☠ Requirements: This is not for those who doubt their ability. This robot was made to protect humans from witches. It is programmed to kill witches so it will have no problem trying to kill you. Be aware that it can detect soul wavelength through senors resembling the soul perception technique. I'm sure this thing has other tricks...

☠ Location: A destroyed town oasis in the desert called Hourglass City.

☠ Partners: Three student pairs will be part of an advance unit. A death scythe from America will be an on-field instructor and assistant.

[Status -OPEN- Overseer: Teh Musician]

8. Castle-vein-e-uh - Three-Star Mission.

☠ Details: Since the 1400's, there have been many cryptic legends and Church records telling of an evil construct that appears when many human beings are in a state of misery and suffering such as in a world war. Being a vague description, further records theorize that this construct is ushered in through the completion of several named and prolific satanic rituals. The construct itself is a large medieval castle, always appearing with a horde of creatures inside that go forth and wreak havoc on mankind. Controlling them is a dark master that also appears and disappears with the castle - Vlad the Mad. Though an imposing and dangerous figure, time and time again he has been defeated - indeed, this is how the castle disappears. However, there has been evidence to indicate that it has become more difficult to deal with Vlad and his castle each time. It is of the utmost importance that he be promptly defeated once again, or the castle of demons will certainly grow more and more powerful until it's too late to do anything about it.

☠ Requirements: Experience. Three-Star Meisters and Weapons only, some Two-Star teams eligible.

☠ Location: London, England.

☠ Partners: At least one Three-Star team, backed up by one or more Two-Star teams. Other capable individuals should inquire.

Is having a weapon partner required to take on missions if the person is like my character?
(Witch/Meister)
PostPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 12:36 pm

If the mission doesn't have an overseer, it means no one is running it. A mod or the original maker of the mission have to take that role on. You can probably contact Nebbia and ask if he's still up for overseeing the last 3.

These are usually meant for partners. We were planning on having a Witch version of the mission board, but the idea faded out due to lack of interest.

Afraid not. Harmony has gotten quite far along alone. It would be unfair to add two more into the equation.

do to the holidays I'm going to wait to start things up. It doesn't make sense to kick start a guild when most people are doing stuff. So happy holidays everyone, and expect new missions leading into an arch the 26th.
