I have made this "Roleplaying Guidelines" thread so everything can run more smoothly, so please read carefully so we can have less problems.
Making a Thread
- This is a forum solely made for Roleplaying, so do not make a thread in here that belongs in the other forums, such as a chat thread.
When making a thread, please start it off by a beginning of a story that others can build off of. Things such as "I walked out of a forest and sat on a rock" is not considered a good beginning. Give more detail, like where it's taking place, what time, what's the major conflict, etc. We like to be writers, so why waste our time writing posts that have no creativity?
In an Roleplay we want to keep the Out Of Character talking to a minimum, since before a Roleplay was 75% OOC and only 25% was the actual Roleplay, making it harder to find the Roleplaying posts to reply to. To slove this problem, a separate thread for OOC for that particular thread will be made.
Regarding the above statement, all threads will either have "[RP]" or "[OOC]" at the beginning of the thread title. This is to make it more noticable whether or not the thread is a Roleplaying or OOC thread. If you do not add this yourself, either me or other crew members will edit it.
Roleplaying
- Roleplaying as mentioned before is how we make stories from our writing, and the quality of the writing is critical to the storyline. If one character is just saying 3 sentences for one post, then I'd suggest that that character does not belong in the thread or the whole guild. We take Roleplaying seriously here, and we are looking to Roleplayers that can write interesting, detailed, and creative posts that can advance the plot, not ones that have completely nothing to do with the Roleplay, or "lazy posts."
Roleplayers are expected to be active. In a Roleplay, if one character does not post and the others come to the point when they are waiting for that one character, that character will make the Roleplay come to a stop or will be left out of the Roleplay. This has happened many times in the past. If you have some situation of which you can't Roleplay as often as you normally would, please tell the characters in the thread and make a way of exiting your character from the Roleplay and then maybe return later. This way more threads can keep going without having to worry about that character. If you're just not active in the thread to begin with, I suggest that you shouldn't be in this guild. After all, this is a Roleplaying guild.
Godmoding is when a character makes him or herself unbeatable, invincible, unable to be hurt hence the name "Godmoding." Godmoding is something everyone hates. Don't do it. Please. It makes the story more unrealistic and it can really get on people's nerves.
Deleting/Moving Threads
- Any threads that don't belong in this forum will be moved to the one that it should be in. If you remake the thread in this forum you will get one warning. If you do it another time we will ban you from the guild. I don't think anyone is that stupid in here, or at least I hope no one is..
Threads that are old, haven't been posted in months, will be removed for it's inactivity.
Any Roleplaying thread that is unacceptable/unappropriate will be deleted and there will be a warning given. If repeated then the person(s) will be banned
