I was just kinda curious as to who else tips battledome posts and what sort of posts you tip.

Typically speaking I tip the longer posts. Or the occasional post that I just really enjoy despite the length.

I do occasionally do, I suppose you could call them, sympathy tips. Where I tip a poster because the person who posted after them just did a terrible post.

I've been tipping Freelancer Nebraska fairly often cause he often makes exceptional posts. I know I tipped Copper when he did that zombies of past domers post. I tipped Visher for that post where he took all on my sprites. And I know I made some other tips but I can't think of them all at the moment.

Also, I kinda wish there was like an anti-tip function. You know for those posts you just think are terrible. Besides implementing an up-vote or down-vote system on individual posts I'm not really sure how they could do it though.

Just like Facebook needs a dislike button....

I tip in the Battledome if a post literally makes me laugh out loud or chuckle. Or has a lot of fun character interaction.

I tip when I enjoy it.

I seem to get a number of tips as Puppet, when I find the motivation to post.

I tip when someone gets my character right; it's not uncommon for some users to get it wrong. I also tip posts I read where I'm /not/ involved, but the combatant either takes his loss gracefully, or wins respectfully.

Yeah. I have problems at times with the graceful losses or respectful wins. I'm to prone to making my wins curbstomps and I've made some of my losses be more of cheapshots than better skill. I do believe I'm getting better with it and its definitely less of an issue when I'm not using my super OP character.

I tip this way as well. To be honest, I really get bugged by the tendency people have in the Dome to consider rolls an indicator of a character's battle performance or something. This isn't a quality check, like in D&D. I mean, let's just use Eunica fighting Nyrk, for example: There is just no way in hell the fight would be easy, for her to win.

If a fight is is going to be a curbstomp, your character better be good enough to actually curbstomp her through their character--not because of some stupid dice roll. =_=
