Mr Jes ( I didn't know which sub-forum this belonged in so sue me. It's so much easier -crowded?- in my guild. >.< )) Anyway do you ever dream about being your favorite Toku hero? I know I do. In fact, I occasionally pretend that I'm one of my RP characters and have adventures are sure boredom. >.< ((It might be a sign that I'm going senile in my old age, but hey; It makes from great RP stuff if I refine them. XD )) Anyways, do you ever daydream of being a Tokusatsu hero? If so, what is it? Come on don't be ashamed. We've all done it, just some more then others. ^^ ((<--- Like this guy right here. )
For certain fears of mine, I have certain Toku heroes that "go with me". I imagine that they are by my side, so I don't fear what it is.
It sounds strange, but there are a few things that I still have a hard time doing, and I really need a Toku hero next to me to get through it.
Or I think, "What would they do?" And, I imagine them being my fan-base, pushing me forward. Sort of my support.
I even write down quotes that are very inspirational from an episode, and stick it on my wall.
I guess the characters can be quite human, and so they can be of comfort, when I am going through a similar problem.

I was more of the type to take my Yugioh Dueling deck with me, rather then my favorite hero for support. But yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Having your own personal hero can give you the strength when nothing else can, if nothing else it can give you hope.
Haha, I actually still do that occasionally. When I listen to one of my favorite songs, Climax Jump/Climax Jump THE FINAL) I tend to feel empowered by the songs words... it gives me the strength and hope, especially when I'm feeling down. It's the reason why I prefer to listen to any song with a "message," doesn't' matter what drama it is so long as it has a "message" I can relate too.

I grew up with Power Rangers, and recently in the last two years crossed over into sentai. So all of these years I have had the Toku characters (unbeknownst to me) protect me, encourage me, be friend me, keep me company... they do something for me, and I don't challenge it. If it works, it works.
I used to use Power Ranger related songs for nearly 15 years, then I sort of drifted for a while, and now I am using Toku songs as my personal soundtrack. I don't know what it is, but I don't question it. It just works for me.
