Mel's been dealing with "a series of crapstorms" as she so eloquently puts it. "Torrential crapslide" is another phrase she likes to use. It's been one thing after another since they had to put Rain down earlier this summer.
Things aren't much different where I am - calmer, but to offset some expenses that have cropped up as a result I've suspended my home internet service until further notice. I'm barely home as it is. I'm not home now. +S+ I hope to be back eventually but that is really up to fate and the economy.

Alive. Overwhelmed. Yeah that pretty much covers it. Not getting a lot of time to myself these days. Super-stressed, hair falling out, depressed as anything. I just can't deal. I miss you guys but Gaia's decline just further bums me out so as I'm prioritizing it gets bumped to the bottom (and then off) the list of things to do.
In the last 5 weeks we've had the neighbor get rushed to the hospital, the water softener go out and need replaced, the industrial power strip that runs the media center go out and need replaced, the UPS that runs the media center go out and need replaced. There's something wrong with Leo. 'Narii's health seems to be on a decline (though most days are good.) We thought we had a home for B, then I found out that his entire life would change overnight, not just his location.
That's basically the big stuff. I could write for hours cataloging the little things that plague me day to day (just since June.) I don't have hours. I don't have ambition. Forgive me for not being here. I do love you and think of you often. You know I wish you well. And like V I hope to be back--and sooner rather than later but life is going to have to really change before that can happen. I do peek in from time to time though.

I know how you feel, just perhaps to not that extreme, although a lot of shitty big and little things seem to be happening to my family and me as well. I sincerely hope things get better for you. Just know I care about, love, and miss you. Hasn't been the same without you around. If you need to talk, vent, or just complain about any and everything, do not hesitate to send me a message either on here or Neopets. I'll be here for you as much as I can.
