Hello! I see you have stumbled upon my humble little thread, *waves*. Okay, introducing tiiiiiime. My name is Emily,and this is a guide for new gaians on what to do first, you know, to get you off to a good start. But first, I'm going to be honest. I'm not like an oldie on Gaia. I've been on here for no longer then a month, at the time of writing. But I wanted to do a guide, to like contribute and stuffehs, so I decided to do one for newbies.ALRIGHT? Let's get started 3nodding

Nuuumber ONE, you should make your avatar look decent, and not like you just made your account. Well.... you did just make you're account.... well make it like your showing some effort! Go into any shop (Shops>Shop Directory) and click the little dropdown. Now select "Price (Ascending)". There will be a ton of nice stuff, for as little as five gold! If, for some reason, you don't have any gold, ask me. If you ask nicely, I can put together a 1,000 gold outfit for you and give it to you for free.

Step two. Go to the forums and introduce yourself. Choose the newbie forums as people are generally nicer there, and the sole purpose is for newbies to introduce themselves. Now it's time to make a thread. The title can be anything you want, but make sure it's literate. So basicly, instead of saying "im new here n im saying hi", you would say "I'm new here, and I'm saying hi!". For the actual text of the thread, introduce yourself and say some stuff. Name, age, country, likes, dislikes, how you found gaia, etc are good places to start.

This is the thiiiiird step. After you have made a thread, and possibly made some friends, I would reccomend doing some questing. Some people quest for items, but for a newbie quester who dosen't know much about gaia, I would reccomend questing an avatar. Start by going to Tektek and making an avatar, Then get a price code and copy it. Now, go to Burn's questing subforum (or the charities subforum on the main Gaia forums) and make the thread name something like "Questing for my dream avatar!" and paste the price code into the body of the thread. Now make sections for donaters, updates, all that stuff.
