[ So I read a really great article just now that concisely pointed out a lot of really important points of group role-playing that don't get mentioned very frequently. The epiphany was really inspiring!
Learning new techniques gets me really jazzed up to do creative junk like draw or role-play, so I was wondering: Do you have any advice, articles or tools you use for RP creation? Where do your character concepts tend to come from? Do you choose plots based on setting or tone? Do you have a particular medium that inspires you?
Here are a couple things I found fossilized in my DeviantART favorites:
Short story breakdown--not explicitly for role-play scenarios, but the plot breakdown is really something that should be touched on more often.
Plot Saver List--really great for warm-ups and quick RPs. ]
