At the bottom of the seemingly bottomless rift that has cut through Kainat, a labyrinth of tunnels are located. This is the Verden head quarters, and only one of the Verden can navigate the tunnels. The Verden have made this deemed unlivable island, livable again when they found a natural spring deep within tunnels of the rift. With this clean water, the Verden were able to grow crops and support life. These tunnels are heavily guarded by Verden militia and the Verden has taken extra precautions to make sure that they remain secret.
Depending on what tunnel you take, you could be in the living quarters one second, then the mess hall the next. There is also a gym, weapon room, a small library, and a gathering room where the Verden will hold special meetings. These tunnels are like the streets of a city that the Verden call home.

Brigadier General xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX Logan's steel toed boots clacked against the wooden planks as he made his way through the many intricate passageways to the mess hall. He was starved because he had just gotten back from a mission. There wasn't much food out there in the field that he would actually eat. Certainly nothing elementally made, or made from a like person. He passed several subordinates and he gave a curt nod. After another ten minutes of navigation, he had made it. He gathered his food and sat down to enjoy. He usually ate in silence because either his officers were off doing thier jobs, or the enlisted were so intimidated by him that they refused to come near. Maybe today would be different?

 June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June wiped the edge of her sword, finally done cleaning all of her materials. She put it in its sheath and settled it on her belt. She adjusted her headband. She never wore it in battle, so it was nice to wear it at headquarters. Besides, it reminded her that she can look pretty and be a girl sometimes. Fixing her bed, she walked out, eyeing all the soldiers that were running through tunnels with messages. She chuckled as she remembered having to that herself. But now she was a Colonel. She was no longer a regular old soldier. Walking down the path with tunnel entrances everywhere, she hummed a catchy tune, heading towards the lunch area. Finally finding it, she sighed to herself. She could still get lost in such a place. Seeing Logan, she couldn't help herself with a smile. He always seemed busy in his work. Even eating he seemed to be planning his job out. She saw one of his soldiers eyeing him, like he wanted to sit down. She understood not being social. Walking up to Logan with her lunch in hand, she sat right in front of him. "Just another day, right General?" She wasn't the best at being friendly, but with another officer, it wasn't too hard.As long as he didn't try to order her around because his rank is higher, that is.{OOC: Thanks for joining. ^^} "...My goal is to serve."

Brigadier General xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX Logan looked up in surprise as June took a seat across from him. "Good evening Captain." Even though she had the rank of a colonel, she preferred the nickname captain, and that's what most everyone called her. "Your mission fared well?" She was the youngest officer to date, and for that, she had his respect, especially since they had gone on several missions together previously, and he knew first hand of her experience. ★OOC: This has a really great plot and I like how it has lore to go along with it, so I know what happened in my characters past.★

June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June smiled as he referred to her as Captain. She found that being called that brought more respect than Colonel. She wished she could stay at that title, but then even more people would have a higher rank then her, and that meant following orders. She tried not to think about all the times they'd worked together, because then she wouldn't be focusing on their conversation. But there were quite a few times. As he asked her about her mission, she took a bite of one of her strawberries in her lunch box. She nibbled quickly, answering right after swallowing. "Yep. Didn't find a single elemental, so I figure someone tipped them off," she frowned before spearing the same strawberry again and tossing it into her mouth.{OOC: I know! I was sold right when I read the plot. It's just... amazing. I hope I can write like that soon! } "...My goal is to serve."

He needed to update the mission board soon, and gather more intel, and figure who was tipping off the elementals. "This is twice in the last week they escaped." ★OOC: Same here XD★

June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June finished chewing on her strawberry as he spoke. It would be hard to gather intel, but perhaps they'd finally see the new recruits they'd been hearing about. Rumors weren't very reliable, but they were better then guessing in the dark. "And that's two times too many," she murmured, spearing the last strawberry and eating it. "I hope we can get a squad together, just us experienced members, and just raid. I've head a rumor that some are playing around in the cities, acting normal and all." She tried to keep herself positive. Elementals were sick, twisted, evil creatures that caused war. They needed to be gone to let everyone else live in peace.{OOC: I wonder if its looked down upon to find my own character (elemental) and kill him... XD } "...My goal is to serve."

Brigadier General xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX Logan stroked his beard thoughtfully. It was a good idea. It got tiring looking after the younger, inexperienced cadets while out in the field. There was no time to focus and do things himself because he was busy micromanaging the mission itself. It would be good have a raid with just the experienced members, the trust and skill they all had would make the mission itself more enjoyable. "I'll have to look into that and get the other officer's schedules." ★OOC: Lol, if not enough people show up, then we'd have to create characters to kill off... actually we'd probably need that anyway unless people didn't mind us killing them, but I find people get rather attached.★

June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June grinned as he agreed. "I know you're just the man to get them together," she added, eating a glob of rice. She stared at her lunch for a minute before speaking again. "I wonder if the elementals are leaving our usual raid places. Normal people wouldn't know they were elementals until it was too late. They could easily blend into cities." As June spoke, she realized just how dangerous these elementals could be.{OOC: *Makes 17 characters as soldiers and two as killable* This will work } "...My goal is to serve."

June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June frowned as she thought. She hadn't thought of moving the bases. God, she was such an idiot. On one hand, she was young and didn't have enough life experience to think everything through, but on the other, she expected respect for being so young, so she can't have both. She shook her head to stop her mental arguing. "I know we'll catch them. I just hope we can do so before it's too late," she mumbled, staring off in the distance. They really did need some of the more experienced members. "I wonder where the others are..." she added.{OOC: You should go do that. ^^ I'm going to go add on to our guild network advertisement thread. I hope we get more people so we don't have to fill the gaps. We need some good ol' soldiers.} "...My goal is to serve."

 Adele walked down the tunnels towards the mess hall. She could see some people nodding their head respectfully towards her out of the corner of her eye as she passed them. A few flat out bowed to her, and she could hear almost all of them say "Sir" as she passed, though she ignored all of them. She could feel the frustration growing inside of her, though she quickly pushed it back down. She had just finished with a meeting with a returning raid team, and the mission was a complete failure, all of the Elementals had escaped... again. The whole situation was just frustrating! Her mind was running a mile a minute, she needed a new plan, and she needed it now. She needed to change her methods, something to catch the Elementals by surprise. But most of all she needed to find out how the Elementals were escaping. Slowly a plan was beginning to form, a plan so simple, that she didn't think that the Elementals would even notice what was happening. She smiled when she entered the mess hall to see two of her most loyal followers sitting together. She walked over to them and stopped in front of their table. "I hope you two are done eating," she said with a dry smile, "Its about time you get your next assignment." ((OOC: I'm glad you two like the plot! Len and I spent a lot of time working it out, and hours on the History page alone, so I'm glad it has paid off! As for the death characters, you can kill your own, or if someone gives you permission to kill their character, you can kill that character. But for now we will have an army of NPCs, at least until we get more people. [x ))

June Bishop "My goal is to protect..." June smiled as Adele walked in. Even if she was a higher rank, June could really respect her. If they weren't on this cause, June was still sure she'd flock to Adele. Hearing of a new excitement, June already imagined her sword in hand. "Oh, good. Hope its a raid in the towns." June took a quick nibble of a sliced kiwi before elaborating. "Jogan and I have come to the conclusion that elementals are hiding in cities, acting normal and all." June smiled to herself. She hoped Adele would approve and let them go raid the towns. The veteran soldiers like Adele, Jogan, and herself would be more sucessful in a raid than everyone else in the army. The new soldiers were pretty worthless.{OOC: A few hours? Well, they were well spent. I still think it's flawless. Sorry that we both haven't been posting much. We've both been working on a guild of mine. ^^} "...My goal is to serve."

Adele thought for a moment and nodded, "They probably are hiding in the cities, It would be easier for them to blend in there, that and there would be more of them in one place, making it easier for them to defend themselves. A defense in numbers." Adele had to admit, it was a good defense that would prove to be difficult to get through. Adele turned to her Colonel and shook her head, "No June, this mission will not be a raid. If the Elementals have been able to predict our moves, we need to change things up a bit. This mission will be a recruit mission. I want you two to go out and gather more Non-Elementals to join our cause. We really need some better soldiers. It would be foolish to go up against them when they have the greater numbers." Adele lowered her voice as she told them her plan so that only they could hear it, "For now we are going to fall back a bit and let them get comfortable. Let them think that the raids have stopped and that we are no longer a threat. When people get too comfortable in their surroundings, they become careless. The Elementals will make a mistake, and we will be there with the greater numbers. They won't even see it coming. This will turn into a waiting game for the time being, and while they are wasting their time doing nothing, we will become stronger by training our solders and gaining numbers." Adele rested her hands on edge of the table and leaned forward, "Now, a large group of people traveling through the nations would be too noticeable, so that is why I am only sending you two out. You two can either travel together to watch each others backs, or you could split up and cover more ground more quickly. You two are both skilled enough to handle things on your own. Just remember that as soon as you find someone you are to bring them back here before you find someone else, this way we can train them as you find more recruits. Any questions?"((OOC: Haha! Yeah, I spent almost an entire day just perfecting it and uploading everything to the History page. I was worried that people would find it too lengthy to read, when I originally typed it in Word it was about 7 pages long. [x And it is fine if you don't post that often, just don't forget about us!))

Adele took the lack of questions as that they had none and needed no further instructions from her. She turned away from them and walked out of the mess hall. Ignoring those she passed she continued to walk until she was met with the fresh air of the outdoors. This was not a time to sit around idle, it was about time for her to take action herself.
