The Inixil area. A fairly inconspicuous area near the shore, backed by a very large temperate forest. At first glance, it is completely unremarkable, until you take the time to take a good look at the village within it. Fantastically strange shops line the main street, as each shop owner tended to try and outdo the other shop keepers when they built their shop there. The homes of the people who live there are less structurally fantastic than the shops (as the villagers are less keen on drawing attention to their homes) but most of the homes are still bright and colorful. Yes this was the village near Somnium Quies Academy, aptly named Inixil village. It is where both the students of the academy go to spend their free time, and where the teachers and staff of the academy go to get anything they might want or need.

A mere ten minutes stroll from the academy, many of the students spend their weekends there. Unlike a certain other school of magic, the students of Somnium Quies are free to visit the village in their down time provided they are at least in their second year, sign out before going, and do not leave the village's boundaries. It's a lively place to spend a day, to say the very least, and the residents are as colorful as the students.
