Sometimes, it's the words of someone, be they famous or a family member, real or from a video game or a book that can make your day that much better.
I'd like to make a thread dedicated to those kinds of inspirational quotes. I'll start with one of my more modern favorites, from the drag queen superstar, Ru Paul. I remember hearing it on one of her Drag U shows when trying to provide words of comfort to the women who had self-confidence issues.
"Remember, what other people think about you is none of your business."-Ru Paul
Annnd, go! Remember, these are words to inspire others.

For something like seven years I had a random-quote image in my signature, I got rid of it at some point because a lot of the quotes were badly dated, and I was too lazy to update them.
Still.
One of my enduring favorites:
Food for thought requires a mind with teeth - The Dragon Vollys, Two Princesses of Bamarre, Gail Carson Levine.

I don't know where I heard this, but it's a favorite of mine.
"I am better then no-one, and no-one is better then me."
There's plenty of others I'd like to share, which I'll post when I can think of them. xd

Random Quote "Mercedes is black, I'm gay, together we make culture." ~ Kurt Hummel (Glee) Very important life lesson "Kindness is a language the deaf can hear, and a thing the blind can see." Mark Twain (Author)

Slick Southpaw Oh I like that one, actually sounds pretty spiffy cool It's by the same person who wrote The Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted. I liked Two Princesses a great deal more than the others, because it has so many classic fairy tale elements, but with an original twist to it.

"As a youth I was told comics were dumb, to get a real job, etc. Only sheer bullheaded stupidity got me this far. This should change, I think people in American comics have a bullshit defeatist attitude. Positivity is actually infectious, you dumb idiots" -bryan lee o'malley

"The writer crafts their ideal world. In my world, everyone has really long conversations or just picks apart pop culture to death and everyone talks in monologue."- Kevin Smith
"All books reveal perfection, by what they are or what they are not. May you find that which you seek, in these pages or outside them. May you find perfection, and know it by name.” -Christopher Moore (from Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal.)
“It was watching Madeline Alby eat cheese with every ounce of her being, like it was the first and best time, that made him realize that he had never really tasted cheese, or crackers, or life. And he didn't want his daughter to live that way. He'd moved her into her own room the night before...He hadn't slept well, and had gotten up five times during the night to check on her, only to find her sleeping peacefully, but he could lose a little sleep if Sophie could go through life without his fears and limitations. He wanted her to experience all the glorious cheese of life.” - Christopher Moore ( A Dirty Job)
“Love is just a chemical, no matter the origin. We give it meaning by choice.” - Eleanor Lamb (BioShock 2)

"When your laboratory explodes, lacing your body with a super-charged elixir, what do you do? You don't just lie there. You crawl out of the rubble, hideously scarred, and swear vengeance on the world. You keep going. You keep trying to take over the world." --Doctor Impossible

I'm reminded by my awesome Marilyn Monroe poster that she has some snazzy lines of her own.
"I have too many fantasies to be a housewife. I guess I am a fantasy." "I am involved in a freedom ride protesting the loss of the minority rights belonging to the few remaining earthbound stars. All we demanded was our right to twinkle."

“To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.”
my roommate said this last night xd : “The only thing I’ve learned is that you can’t make someone love you. You can only stalk them and hope to force them to give in.”
Oh and the most inspiring poem to me:
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls Where words come out from the depth of truth Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit Where the mind is led forward by thee Into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake. - Tagore
