Olivia was busy looking over an essay, circling errors with her red inked fountain pen. When finished she put it aside and took a deep breath, having no more papers to distract her from the impending parent teacher conference. It wasn't like she wasn't already used to these things, but the parent who was coming today was leaving her mind a trifle nervous. The parent was, of course, Grandio Le Gato the father of the single most accident prone student in the school's long history.
It wasn't the fact that the man (or rather ram) was over one hundred that was troubling her, though that in itself was impressive given that fact that she knew of very few people who were that old. It wasn't the fact that he was in fact one of the rare Ramodians that actually had been perfectly normal rams at one point before they became a century old, though she was rather impressed to meet one such as him. No what she was worried was whether or not she would have go in to detail about his son's, Granz De Gato, long history of injuries.
They were seldom serious, for the most part, but he had injured himself more times than half the students combined. Cleaning up the disasters that followed had become almost part of the staff's routine, and it was almost a miracle that the kid wasn't in a comatose state by this point. Olivia took another deep breath and drummed her fingers on her desk, as she watched her clock rolling around on her ceiling.

Outside of Olivas room a loud almost deafening sound could be heard~ The sound of something metal and heavy could be heard getting hit in the hallway and launched al the way to the opposing end of said hallway~ "That'll teach ya ya rusty pile of scrap heap!" Grandio yelled at the locker that had been foolish enough to try and swallow him into it's interior~ The horned knight steppedin and bowed as Oliva came into his view~ "Miss Oliva I presume?" he asked as he stood back up and held himself solidly~ "Sorry about the mess out there. One of the lockers tried to sneak attack me so I responded by turning it into schrapnel. No one was hurt though rest assured." Grandio explained as he stepped into the classroom~

Olivia had nearly jumped out of her seat when she heard the crash, and her first thought was 'What has Granz crashed into now?'
Then she heard shouting which didn't sound at all like the horned kid she knew, soon after which a white haired Ramodian walked in, bowed, and told her that one of the lockers hadn't harmed anyone. Those eyes... He had to be Grandio. Trying not to think about the remains of said locker that would need to be cleaned up, she finally managed a reply. "Y-yes, I am Ms. Mol, though you may call me Olivia if you so wish. You must be Mr. Gato. Please, have a seat." She gestured over to the seat in front of her desk as she forced herself to calm down. It wasn't like he could be any more nerve-wracking than Granz could be at times, right?

"No need to be so formal when adressing me Miss. Only my instructors and occasional Lord ever really call me sir or mister." Grandio explained as he took the chair in front of the desk and sat down~ THe chair itself winced a bit under the weight knight had placed on top of it~ "Hang on a bit." the knight spoke abruptly as he detached his gauntlets coat and sword and set them on the floor~ THe chair sighed a breath of relief as the excess weight was dropped, and was able to hold its occupant a lot more stable~
"I must say this school must have excellent trackers. I was found not even a minute after I landed in the forest behind this place." he went on as Grandio took in his surroundings~ He admired the oddities like the rolling ceiling clock and whatnot~ "AH sorry I almost let myself get distracted. I understand I've been called here to discuss my son for some reason?"

Olivia watched in amazement as Grandio took off what could have passed as half an armory's worth of weight. Just how strong was this man... Shaking her head she turned her attention back to the parent in front of her. He had thought she had something to say to him? Well that was a bit of a mistake on her part. Once he had come to this realm and identified himself as Granz's father, she naturally thought that a knight with his supposed history had come to see one of the teachers here. Being the one whom Granz respected most, she'd extended the invitation before Grandio had had to ask. She cleared her throat to calm herself. "You didn't come to our realm to inquire about or tell something to your son? If there is something you would like to know about his activities while he has been here, feel free to ask."

Grandio listened carefully to Oliva's words all the while studying the elf~ He hadn't been to many of the elven worlds and a dark elf was certainly new to him~ From what he had heard they were supposed to make excellent handlers of magic and very intelligent~ It was only natural that one would be a teacher at this strange but definately beyond average school~
"Well I might have some things to share about him later. His mother and I worry about him since he left for this place. Perhaps it was luck that I got stuck here. Our people tend to live in hard to find areas so communications from anyone regarding anything are difficult to receive." he explained as he stretched his neck with a slight crack~ "I know he desperately wants to become a knight and during one's training the family isn't supposed to interfere. SO if I may a request? DO not let my son know I'm on these grounds where he's at. I don't want to upset him. If that;s alright could you enlighten me on his progress and well being mentala nd physical wise? I know his body isn't the toughest but he hasn't seriously injured himself yet has he?"

Olivia eyed Grandio up and down as he spoke. Despite his large, powerful frame, he was a parent after all.
"I won't mentioned a thing, Grandio." She fought not to place a hand on her forehead as she heard him say the question she'd been dreading. She chose to answer the former question first. "While he is not the most intellectual student to come to this school, he's far from stupid. He does fairly well in all of his classes, and he is quite honest in everything he does. As for physical aptitude, he is the captain of the fencing team, and is one of best fencers this school has seen in a long while." She took a deep breath to answer the question she had been hoping to avoid. "As for his injuries, he has yet to have any lasting damage to his person, however he is fairly accident prone." She stopped talking at that point, not sure how to tell Grandio how Granz was the first student to have his own drawer in the nurses office dedicated to his injuries.

"So he hasn't changed and he's still as frail as ever huh?" Grandio sighed as he thought about his son~ "That boy tries very hard but his body just isn't trained enough to become a good knight yet. But it is good to hear that he hasn't given up on himself with his training." he went on as a smile crossed his lips~ "But fencing huh? I normally prefer bare fisted so sparing with him should be amusing once he comes home for vacation." One could see the expression of pride in Grandio's eyes for his son~ Despite everything Granz had apperently gone through he was still training hard and that couldn't make the father anymore happier~ "So now that my main concern is out of the way question two. What do you think of him as a person and answer not from an instructors point of view." he asked curious to know what people thought of his son not from a professional standpoint~

Olivia blinked. If this man considered Granz to be frail, she wondered just how tough his father was... Noting the look of pride in the old ram's eyes she continued. "Actually he has survived many injuries that would have required any other student to be hospitalized, with little more than a very painful head." Olivia smirked a bit. "If you consider Granz frail, I'd very much like to know just how tough your head is."
Olivia thought for a moment before answering this next question. What did she think of Granz as as a person? No parent had asked her that before. Placing her hands on her lap, she inclined her head slightly before continuing. "He is an honorable young man, even if he is rather prone to falling asleep at the drop of hat. I find him to be polite, fairly kind, and just a little awkward around girls. He has never lied to me or the staff, and I trust him as much as I would trust my friends here."

"My wife has greatly discouraged me from demonstrating my headbutt outside of a battlefield." Grandio replied as he scratched the back of his head laughing slightly~ "And when I say frail I mean by ramodian standards. The weakest of us can take being nailed by horse and still get up with some minor bruising. But don't worry, I'm not saying he's weak. He just needs more time to mature and get stronger." he explained as sat proudly in the chair that had taken to lightly humming~
Grandio listened to what she thought of his son from her personal point of view before responding~ "Your answer is one that I can respect. Quite a few of the students and teachers have said very respectable things about you. So I was curious as to the type of person you are. Though is it true you once invented a set of dueling refrigerators?"

Olivia remembered the stories she had heard about Ramodians being able to batter down mountains, and she was grateful to this man's wife for giving him this warning. "Hm. While his ability to withstand head injuries may not have improved much since he came here, he's certainly developed a good deal of talent with the sword. Though you'd have to speak with our physical education teacher for the full run down on that."
Olivia blinked at his words about how the students and staff respected her. She never really payed it much thought, not with all the work she had to do, but she was glad to hear it. Then she heard him mention the fridge. Ah yes, those. She suppressed a laugh. "Haha, yes. It was actually because of Felix's, that is to say our principal's, request for a new fridge in the staff room that the students couldn't steal food from. I got a little... carried away. Rest assured, the fact that the staff took bets on which would win was an unintended side effect."

" The Phys Ed teacher? I just might address them later then. I know I said I can't interfere with his training but his mother and I figured checking up on his progress once a while isn't harmful." Grandio spoke as his mind wandered on how exactly he would inform his wife~ His homeland was in the world outside the dreams and for some reason he couldn't seem to get any of the local mirrors to work~ If he was indeed stuck here he would need to find a way to acquire some work and somehow avoid being found by his own son~
The knight listened to Oliva's explanation of the fridge event~ "SO to prevent thieves you somehow crafted a set of dueling appliances? Ya know I've worked for several kingdoms and I'm certain if you wanted to go into some advanced research teams for a kingdom, I could maybe find you an opening at several of them across the mirrors." he offered~ Not that he thought she didn't like teaching but he figured someone with skill like that should always have more oppurtunities~

"I'll send word to Ameliya then." Olivia said with a smile.
Olivia's eyes flew up in surprise. Was Grandio suggesting that... In all honesty, Olivia had never really thought about working anywhere but this school. Yes she knew she was intelligent enough to work at other places but, perhaps she could find another, less stressful job elsewhere... Then she remembered a certain principle and all thoughts of a new job were swept away. What would that man do without her? "I appreciate your thoughts, but for now at least, I am quite content teaching."

"I figured as much. But still if you ever change your mind contact me." Grandio responded~ He figured she say no but it never hurt to extend an offer like that~ He had similar offers on the battefield wher one kingdom would offer to hire him after hearing of his work elsewhere~ "A personal question if I may Miss? I've only possessed this humanish appearence for almost forty years so I'm still learning things about the two footed world. Care to tell me about this place? I want to see what my son saw in this instituion to make him want to come here." he asked out of his curiousity~

"I'll be sure to remember." Olivia said with a nod.
Describe the Academy? Now that was a question she knew exactly how to answer. "This is Somnium Quies Academy, a magical school situated in the dream realms. Here we can prepare students for just about..." At that moment, almost as if on cue, a large flock of ballpoint pens flew in through the door and started flying around the office. Without batting an eye, Olivia pointed her wand at the pens motioning them back out the door, "To the classrooms, the classrooms." The pens obediently went out the door, and Olivia continued as if nothing had happened. "He we prepare students for just about anything, particularly what would be considered the nonsensical things that tend to happen in the dream realms. Oh, and the next time you are attacked by a locker, please don't destroy it. The lockers here are none to smart, so simply ask them a rhetorical question and they'll back off and be left pondering it for hours on end."
