It can be a specific type or types,
or even examples of movies that you do like.
I tend to like Comedy, Action, Animated or Anime. sweatdrop

Anything fun, and exciting for me. I have a hard time with dramas though, because I have a very short attention span. sweatdrop

Dramas at times is one of things I cannot sit still and watch. sweatdrop

I wish that I could sit and enjoy a good drama, but I just cannot pay attention for very long.

Lets go to prison, Grandmas boy, the nnew karate kid with Jackie Chan, Repo! The genetic opera. There are more, but those are some of my fav's.

I still need to watch Repo! The generic opera.
I might need to look into the others.
The newer Karate Kid was good...In my opinion Jackie Chan is what made the movie good...
I was not much for Jaden Smith's performance though.
It might be where I was really interested in the older ones.
However, for a kid his age.. I have to admit Jaden has talent.
When they made the original Ralph Macchio was like around 23..
He always seemed to look younger than what he was.
So it's not like having an actual kid playing the role back then. sweatdrop
I know Jaden as he grows up has the talent
and potential to do more with his acting.

I will have to disagre with you a little on that. Jaden Smith spent an entire year training everyday for 4 hours a day for that role. I have great respect for that kid to put that much dedication into a movie. The older ones where alright, but a bit before my time. I probably would have not watched them if it where not for the new ones, to be honest. xd I loved Jackie Chan in the movie. He did an amazing job. heart

I do think think the kid has talent and
don't get me wrong and he did an okay job in the movie.
At least he had dedication in working on his part.

I know some actors/actresses have to find a reason
to dedicate themselves to their part.
If they do not find something to influence them,
they will probably end up sucking.

I love movies with Jackie Chan in them.
He does an excellent job. 3nodding

I guess where I used to watch them a lot as a kid..
It might be just where I got my thoughts on this from.
I guess if they remade something from when you were younger..
You might hold the one you knew in higher regards maybe.

I know my mom likes this version of the karate kid more.
She has watched them all and likes both Jaden Smith
and Jackie Chan's performances in the movie.

She said it made it more fun and interesting to watch.

However she still laughs at the old one
with Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi saying wax on, wax off.
She says it sounds like he's trying to teach him how to masturbate. xp
"Wacks on, Wacks off."

My mom is willing to give many movies a chance..
In some cases she is quite amusing when watching a movie together.
She at times can be quiet but if she notices something interesting or funny..
she will immediately point it out.
I noticed without her saying too much she pretty much has it figured out in her head on who is the one killing in the movie..in 15-30 minutes of some movies.
How it's going to follow and how it ends.
She has a smirk on her face when she figures it out but continues to watch to see if her thoughts are correct and most of the time they are. sweatdrop
