A quiet evening with golden twilights tainted the Police station with a bright orange as the sun was slowly fainting into a crimson sunset. Captain Russel would stare daringly at the sun's phase for he knew those beautiful colors would end in a dark night that would only lead to a crimson sunrise for all the blood that fiend would spell. "Chase..." the captain glared as he sipped from his coffee mug while facing the sunset as he despised that horrendous fiend that haunted Sacramento.
The captain had been on this case for almos a year and with each month the assassinations had become more and more violent. With the last operation where he tried to capture him he only tasted the bitter flavor of defeat as well as to adding a pair of black ribbons to decor the station he was now running, the former captain being one of those less fortunate to add their names to Chase's List.

All he could do would be to trust Shibusen would reply their call for help in those dark times since he had to be smart, and eat his pride with that bitter taste for Richard Chase, the Vampire of Sacramento, was something beyond his Reach.
"Keep your eyes on the Horizon..." the letter said. He had just sent his letter Yesterday, he didn't expected to be taken into consideration this quick. Not only he was glaring at the sunset but he was also awaiting for someone. For Death City was quite famous for his special tactic units. The man was expecting 10 or 20 men the least. Little he knew that Shinigami sama himself would had a surprise for him just around the corner.

Harmony shuffled off of the train. Most Shibusen Meisters and weapons had their own means of travel but most of them didn't actually live at the school either. It was of little consequence however, as she remained mostly invisible anyway. No one paid her any mind and hopefully that would be her advantage in her upcoming mission. She said her targets name over and over again, not because she had a bad memory but because of how normal it sounded. Harmony couldn't fathom why humans did this to themselves or why this dark power was so tempting. She had been informed in her mission briefing to report to the police station and one Captain Russel for any additional information. This was her first assignment and as a partnerless weapon she was very nervous. In sight of her mission she wore a rabbit hair clip in her hair, praying that it would draw the Kishin Egg out and make this battle a quick one.

She arrived at the station and timidly walked through the door. At the front desk she nervously stammered "Y-y-yes I have an appointment to see C-c-captain Russel... please?" her etiquette was awkward to say the very least but polite despite her inability to make eye contact. Harmony didn't like people and this being her first mission she was so out of her comfort zone it took alot of effort to keep from crying.

The Captain, as many others paid no Mind at the young weapon who passed by the station, even entered there, a small matter he would have thought if he had ever noticed coming inside. It was the secretary who voiced him over at the telephone which made him aware of her existense. "A girl? no I've no appointment with a little girl. Please do not disturb me for I'm waiting for Shibusen's reponse" The man grunted while about to hang the phone and return to his observation duty when the secretary mentioned Harmony having a shibusen license. "WHAT?!" the man startled as she quickly hang the phone and headed out from his office, reaching for the reception and finally meeting the young weapon Eye to eye, the so called license was nothing more than the Student's EAT class credential. "Very funny little girl but you se, I'm awaiting shibusen's Specialist for a serial murder case, and as stated this town in particular is no place for a young woman as yourself so may I ask you to head back to Death City the soonest you can while there's still some sunlight." Unlike Harmony, the Captain did not stammer due the sudden surprise and for the weapon's disadvantage he man was actually in a hurry to even escort her without even giving her a chance to explain a thing before they where both out of the station, yet once outside the Captain would take the surprise of his life...

Harmony stammered trying to get the Captain to stop but she was easily ushered out of the door "You don't understand- but- No you see- I'm-" she was repeatedly cut off and once outside she grabbed his jacket, trying to fight back tears. "I really was sent here by Shinigami-sempai! I'm here to take down The demon vampire: Richard Chase!" the strain in her eyes show she was being urgent but her voice was still soft. "Please, this mission is important and if we waste any time he might get away." She held up her wrist so the Captain could see it as it morphed into her weapon form. A smooth steel box formed around her forearm, it immediately gave off a light hum which if nothing else was quite unnatural.

At this point, Russel thought this was some kind of joke but if eve cold to Harmony, he was being polite and playful at the very limit of his patience, however once he spotted the little girl transform her body he understood she was indeed a weapon. She even confirmed it was Shinigami sama's orders for her to interfere in this event, now that She got Russel's attention, she was able to handle her reference letter she had no chance to show him earlier.
-"You've got to be kidding me..."- Russel said while reading the papper, this confirmed his worst fear just as soon as the last sunlight faded at the horizon, they where both alone in this matter with a mad man loose, if Chase could still be called a man.
-"Very well..."- Said the man while grabbing the girl's wrist and pulling her back to the police station. -"...Shinigami's wisdom my a**. To send a little girl to this place, better just say they wouldn't help us..."- the man muttered under his breath as he walked annoyed across the station leading to the weaponry where he took a pair of bulletproof vests, one for Harmony and the other to himself. -"If you happen to be some sort of message from shibusen saying the would not help us this is your last chance to leave this place for things are going to become ugglier than they already had"- spoke the captain while he opened one of the lockers revealing a variety of handguns.
-"Then again if you are the so called specialist please be of any use as posible..."- he continued while preparing a pair of guns.
-"Normally I wouldn't by any circumstances hand a gun over to a kid, but these are no ordinary circumstances we are dealing with."-
Once the guns where ready he offered one at Harmony as he kept the other for himself, he wasn't aware of the weapon's instructions as he always thought the firearms would be the best offensive against this fast moving predator.

She smiled a bit at the Captain now that he was cooperating, although she could since his wasn't pleased with her. Next time she would wear something more stylish so she'd present a better image and could be taken more seriously. She wished she could be better dressed like Spirit-sama or Kid-sempai. both whom wore a suit to work everyday. She dwelled on how much respect they got and perhaps she needed to wear a suit.

Harmony came to when a gun was thrust to her, startled, she gave a high-pitched "meep" from the sudden invasion of her personal space. She gave the Captain a confused look and shook her head. "Mine is built in" she smiled. "Also, Mr. Captain, Sir, It is of the utmost importance that you...um... well" she seemed to get hung up on her words out of nervousness. "You um... won't like it but I need you to um... stay safe sir, stay indoors... please"

Russel would simply raise an eyebrow after spotting Harmony's little squeal. -"Yes it's a gun, we are not playing with a normal criminal after all"- said thinking it was the gun which startled the little girl and not the personal space invasion from his part. Charging a shotgun and a combat rifle, the captain was ready to go as he continued hearing the girl's complaints. "We've no time for chit chat, you are taking that gun with you, the more weapons you got the better, how many times do I have to explain that?" said the Captain completely unamused for he found the childish behavior of Harmony annoying ever since she presented herself as the specialist, he couldn't help it since he thought she was too young for this kind of jobs. He also didn't kept in mind that the firearms would only be effective on the subject if the managed to hit a reliable spot, but with his fast senses and speed it would be easier for Chase to locate them an simply run away as he always had in their previous encounter. Even Harmony was aware of that thanks to Shibusen's intelligence department which prepared the young weapon for this job. However it would seem that her young looking and her quiet timid nature were her worst fault. Mostly because of the kind of "Partner" she was unwillingly assigned with. Things got only worse once she gently asked him to stay indoors.
-"Indoors? Indoors?! People are dying out there because we can't even lay a hand on Chase! Don't try to pull me a sermon here lad cause I've lived more years and I'm well aware of the world out there. If you are just gonna complain on everything I tell you to do, then you better stay here indoors and leave this place tomorrow morning, end of discussion!"-
With that, the captain left without having harmony a chance to calm the man's uproar, but perhaps it was for the best, she could either use him as a bait or perhaps she might get around town on te opposite way the captain did to cover a bigger area and with any luck, have a glimpse of the target.

Harmony sighed. "They really should give a class on this, dealing with humans is so irritating." She very much desired to keep the Captain safe but it seemed that he had no faith in her as a Shibusen Weapon. She would follow Russel but would do so quietly and from the shadows. Her presence wasn't one to be noticed anyway so subtlety was a strong point. She followed aproximately 20 meters behind the Captain, all the while give off a high pitched frequency from her weapon. Her soul wavelength could be converted in a variety sounds and pitches and could use a high frequency sound as a sort of a radar, pulsing the sound in a small area to keep her eyes peeled. She was a bit hurt however, that the Captain had dismissed her so easily, the reality is she was the perfect weapon for this mission. Not only could she combat Chase's speed but she could cripple and track him should he try and escape. Harmony was a meek child but she was still a Shibusen Weapon.

After a rough start, the mission had finally started. The captain kept always a sharp eye on dead ends and alleys, but mostly at roofs, for most of the victims happened to carry some fractures as if a heave object would smack them from above before Chase would finally kill them.
The streets where quiets since everyone was in quarantine because of the emergency state. No one was safe at night. Unfortunately, neither at home. Just a few blocks away from their current situation the sound of screams and firearms triggered the night, Russel would dash through shortcuts to get to the scene, just as suspected, one of the windows was crushed into the house, as if someone or something forced its way in.
-"Chase..."-
Russel glared while calling his name silently, he knew this was his doing, mostly after locating the first corpse, a young woman, probably a housewife she was trying to reach for someone at the kitchen, probably to alert the children who where found later at the studio, probably where the father was attending his bussines and 'Luckily' had the guns. Watching the door he would post some of the ballistic impacts. Most of them missed, just as usual. However the quiet scene and the clean corpses would only ment one thing. Either Chase was scared away by the parent, who's corpse and gun are still missing, due to those facts was quite unlikely since Chase had faced up to 3 armed men at once in previous occasions, or the most obvious being that Chase was probably on the second floor feeding from the parent's blood after hearing Russel.
"Damn you Chase! DAMN YOU!..."
Russel cursed within his mind fearing Chase might even hear his whispers.

Upon Catching up, the young weapon would spot something the Captain had missed previously, there was some sort of interference created when Harmony's radar would reach one of the windows at the second floor, its vibration in comparison to the others seemed heavier, which allowed her to spot it at once.

"They're at Fault..."

It was written with blood and the room's light was off, so it was pretty hard to spot the message if not for Harmony's Hyper sensitive radar. At this point she could even spot the whole house with her resonance, reading pretty much the facts that the Captain took a few minutes to realize at one. Even locating Russel's cautious moves within the house as he scouted. But there was some sort of noise or interference coming from that room, her radar could not pot anything at all. Someone was blocking her radar from lecturing that room in particular, she had been spotted.

Harmony stayed low, trying to keep her soul steady. Radar required alot of concentration but the sudden interference caused her to flinch. The message above her made her stomach churn. "Ugh, there's no telling what goes on in this foolish man's brain. Fear consumes us and leads us to do things that we should regret. Hopefully, his terror ends tonight." She seemed unsure and perhaps the words were more of a summary of what she was supposed to think.

She entered the house after the Captain, moving slowly. The presence of whatever was blocking her was becoming heavier as her radar was stifled to the point where she would be forced to cease its use. Her light body barely creaked the stairs as she ascended them, to the room the held the disturbance. She maintained distance to stay out of the Captain's detection. Feedback from her sound waves suggested alot of stress on her companion. He might try to shoot her if she startled him at this point. Perhaps Chase hadn't noticed her yet, feel safe around the Captain and move in for an attack, then Harmony could strike. She felt bad baiting Russel like that but her strategic mind saw little other option.

The tension in the air would drop heavier the more Russel approached the hall of the dorms, there was a clear track of blood and struggle leading to the kid's room. "Michael's Room" was written on a boat sign that half hanged on the door, the captain would play uneasily with the trigger on his finger, giving fake taps as if warming up fearing his reflexes would betray him in the last second when suddenly the sound of a heavy thud broke the silent aura, it would seem that a shelf fell down or a heavy book, perhaps a furniture, a portrait... or a body.
"it wasn't me, they're at fault... it wasn't me they're at fault..."

The silence was ripper once again with the silent whispers that came from that room, reppeating the message again and again and again. The captain was uneasy if taking the doorknob or just kick the door open since both would obviously alert the suspect who still had the window to jump out from. Even Harmony would had to refrain from going any further or she would be too close to Russel and would probably startle him due the tension and stress that had overpowered the man by the moment.
-"three..." - the Captain finally started the countdown within his mind as he braced his weapon before entering the room otherwise this Nightmare didn't had any chances of reaching its conclusion.
"it wasn't me, they're at fault... it wasn't me they're at fault..."

-"...two..."-
"it wasn't me, they're at fault... it wasn't me they're at fault..."

-"...one!"- Russel aimed himself with courage as he finally kicked the door open and Aimed his shotgun as he approached quickly into the room. -"It's over Chase! You damn monster you are under arrest!"- he yelled while reaching safely into the room. The wardrobe was closed and the window intact. Russel found himself alone save for the corpse who's blood was drank out and his skin partially mauled. He would look with horror as he spotted the walls and floor with the same message all over. It would seem Chase wrote all those while Russel arrived the scene. -"Damn you Chase!"- Spoke in his frustration as he walked towards the door.
Harmony would spot everything as Russel broke into the room, and she knew he was just walking outside. However he also knew that she couldn't watch inside that room, Chase was still in there, waiting for the moment Russel lowered his guard. -"You!"- The man startled as he spotted the girl at the stairs as he aimed his gun at her because of the tension, however he relaxed knowing she was okay and that he didn't shot her accidentally. "What the hell are you do-..." Suddenly the captain was bashed with brute force by Chase who dashed with the captain breaking into the next room where the knives he carried in his fingers, started piercing into the bullet proff best, reaching his flesh but protecting him from lethal wounds on his torso.
-"It wasn't me it was them captain, They are at Fault not me captain!!!"-
spoke the man filled with madness as he soon realized he wasn't harming the man as he pleased, so he dashed his fangs towards the man's neck. Everything was happening too fast, even for the young weapon but fortunately she had confirmed her target and during the struggle Chase had lost his interference for he also required concentration.

Fear shook the small weapon. There he was, her first Kishin Egg. She was frozen momentarily as Chase struck the Captain. She instinctively ran towards the fray and for a second forgot everything she had ever learned. Her mind went blank and she charged. The Captain wasn't her friend, he had been mean to her and had underestimated her but he didn't deserve to die. Her weapon arm began to emit a different kind of frequency. Had a meister with Soul Perception been present they could've clearly seen her soul growing around the device, which she swung at Chase with all her might. She would instinctively channel her wavelength in the most primal way she knew how, concussive force.

"Some Trues are hidden from the human eye by this madness...."

Chase was no different from other people at this rate, the powerful blows of Harmony sent his head up to the moon as he lost his sight and balance due the powerful impacts.

However the tale of his disgraces and misadventures was still far away from reaching to its end. For he crawled, holding himself just above the floor as he kept receiving the weapon's attack before he gasped loudly and began an uproar, same frequency he used to blind her radar was now adapted on a lower scale which started messing with both Harmony's and Russel's ears, the continuous exposure started to mess with their heads, revealing the plague this egg carried within. Madness by paranoía. Just a few seconds more, the noise was knocking out part of their nervous system, focusing primarily in their sight. Russel was the first to black out as he covered his ears and rolled on the floor while trying evade that infernal noise. Just few seconds after was followed into darkness by Harmony. The effect should only be temporary but if continued the exposure they both ran the risk it might be permanent. Russel knew it well, after all they had to retire one of his men who not only lost his sight for the prolonged exposure but he even scratched his ear's off. He feared becoming the same as him so the grasped his pistol ant tried to Aim where the sound was coming from and began shooting several times until something heavy hit the floor.

Russel was badly wounded and they both managed to reach the hospital in a critical state due all the loss of blood. While they where facing thins menace the rest of Russel's men had preppared themselves, the captain ordered them to use him as a bait previously, why he walked alone that night, being her only companion being shot by himself. They managed to scare him off, he could hear more bullets he could evade that night, someone had damaged badly his own radar. Richard Chase left that night, as he always did, leaving no trace of where he headed of. The only clue was fighting for her life at the urgency area, where a nurse would look over the young weapon.

Officer's Report :

Harmony would only felt a burning sting through her shoulder and another on her side before a tremendous cold would invade her body whole along with the darnkess that blinded her sight and radar. Russel had shot her in a cross fire for he couldn't distinguish their frequences and that Harmony had ended up between Russel and Chase as the captain's only defense line.

Chase would then use the opportunity to dash once again against Russel cutting his hand with some sort of sharp object as Russel was sent off over through the window moments later. His yells where drowned by that infernal noise when suddenly everything went silent, leaving only the remnants of that cry stuck in Harmony's head. "Was it all over now?...is the captain safe? ...did Chase ran away?...Was she really alone in that room?" most of her questions would remain a mystery during those silent seconds which felt as hours when she would suddenly feel a carm breath upon her neck. The thrill she was exposed to her enemy, that she was being tasted my him, she merely felt a dormant push over her wounds as Chase delighted his fingers over them. Staining with that precious blood of that someone who was the same as him, or so he thought.

-"you must understand... I had no choice... it wasn't me, they're at fault...They are all Lying in the stars, so I keep my eyes on them all the time, moving out before they do stealing their reason to come down"-

The mad man would continue with his message as she could barely hear how he was liking her blood from his fingers right before she grabbed her and attempted to sink his fangs within her flesh. It felt as if the last source of warmth was taken from her body as her breath became icy as a winter's howl, she would then lose consciousness, we don't know how much she was exposed to Chase.

The pain was sharp and biting in her shoulder, when inflicted the wound was hot but it passed into a cold that chilled her much deeper than the whatever it was that attacked her. She could feel it like a black winter, creeping upon her very soul. Chase, the Captain, everything began to spin. Her first mission, a failure. Tears welled in her eyes as she could feel the blood soaking her top it's trajectory suggested that she lay on her side but none of that mattered. She was going to die, and even if she didn't she had failed Shinigami-sempai, whom she owed everything to. Her heartbeat slowed and her vision went blurry and no strength pushed from her delicate form was enough to force herself into consciousness. Fear began to flood her soul and before it all fell to black she mouth the words that repeated in her head like a broken record.

"It wasn't me, they're at fault..."
