Rank of Royalty: Daughter of a (now deceased) Baron, not sure what that makes her. (Was married to a (now deceased) Duke.) She's been thought of as dead for a long time anyway, so it doesn't matter much anymore.

Species: Human turned vampire.
Physical Appearance: Oval shaped face with a small, pointed chin that juts out a bit. Chin's more noticeable from the side, especially when she smiles. Eyes are deep set and almond shaped. Cheekbones are prominent, high and a little plumper than average. Just by a bit though. Her nose is average length, roman in shape, proportionate to her other features and the tip or bulb of her nose is a broad. Ears are slightly pointed, lobes are a little longer than they should be. Lips are slender, lower lip is larger and plumper than upper and arch on upper lip is prominent and soft. Teeth are all pointy, canines are noticeably longer than the rest as is typical of a vampire. Was buried (by vampire;see history) in a short sleeveless black dress that cuts off halfway along her things trimmed with silver fabric, long white gloves and ankle-high black boots with two inch white heels. - Weighs about 146lbs.
- Hair is cut long below her shoulders, is straight and a deep maroon red color.
- Eyes have an exotic shape and are sort of a dark hazel.
- Skin is pale, Caucasian. If she hasn't fed her flesh will start to get a blue hue to it, like a corpse, although decomposition is much slower. If her energies are drained, she'll also start to decompose.
Personality: Raine is very withdrawn and in life was considered to be weirdly intense by others. She still is, essentially it just means that she'd very detail oriented and she'll stare at anything which has her attention. She's also very stubborn, inner monologue is almost non-existant. Is very, very paranoid. Hates being a vampire, hates the smell of blood. After she feeds she tends to get a little extra emotional. Will form an opinion of a person when first meeting them and isn't likely to ever change her mind about them afterwards. Loyal, but not overly so. The person she cares most about is herself and she's not ashamed of it at all.
- Character Flaws: Withdrawn, intense, odd, paranoid, a little nuts, predatory, judgmental, cold and arrogant.
Biography:
Childhood – Raine was born to Baron and Baroness Blackadder and spent her childhood years in a somewhat typical way for someone of her social standing. She was always considered to be a little odd. She'd stare at people when they'd address her, even from the time that she'd opened her eyes. Raine never shied away from looking a person in the eye either. She was always very quiet, but whenever she would speak she spoke very clearly and softly. She never understood why people had such strange reactions to her, but oddly enough didn't really care much about their opinions of her from the beginning. She learned unhindered by her somewhat awkward upraising, with a mind that was always hungry and eager to learn and absorb as much information as she could.
Had no real relationship with her parents, other children, or her siblings. By the time she was ten years old, parents began trying to arrange a marriage for her with the intent of furthering their own social position. All arrangements were broken after the proposed groom was introduced to her. None of them lasted very long. Raine's main hobby from her fifth birthday onward was reading books, as many as she could get her hands on. Never allowed to read fairy tales. She was also never really brought out in public whenever it wasn't necessary beyond a certain age.
Teen Years – Thirteen and onward her life continued much like it had before. Raine's hobbies expanded. She began spending time in a servant's personal garden, learning about herbs and plants. She began learning about poisons and for the first time in her life she learned about fairy tales. It didn't help her much in making friends, but to Raine such a frivolous thing like socializing didn't interest her. Other than the servant who shared her garden and her knowledge with her, Raine only cared about herself. A significant change came over her when she was fifteen. Another marriage was proposed to her and she met the other teenager, assuming that he'd have the same reaction to her as the others. She'd even brought a little solution with her to use on him, depending on his behavior. His family was late to the meeting and by the time they'd arrived Raine had already retreated into the library.
When the proposed groom arrived later that night with his parents, Raine's parents offered to send out some servants to try to locate Raine. The teenage boy volunteered to go look himself and for whatever reason they let him. In truth he just wanted to get away from the situation, he had no intention of looking for her. As luck would have it, he went into the library and the two met. Raine was shocked when she saw him and displeased when he seemed to be equally surprised by her. The two spoke to each other in a manner that others would consider cold. Raine unintentionally, and the boy intentionally. As they conversed, the two warmed up to one another. Cupid's arrows hit home, and when they rejoined the adults their arrangement was sealed. The two were married months after. The boy was a few years older than she was. By the time she was nineteen, she'd produced two children with her husband.
Present Day – In her adult years, Raine lived her life with as much happiness as many perceive to be in a fairy tale. She'd never felt love and would often remark with pleasure that her love for her husband and children far outweighed her love for herself. To her such emotion was incredible. She developed people skills soon after becoming pregnant with her fourth child and was able to aide her husband and familial standing greatly. Her disinterest in other people and her quick judgement worsened as a result, comparing the new response she received to the reaction she received from people present day. Her life was full of accomplishment and happiness for many years. Soon after the birth of her sixth and final child at age twenty-four though, her husband was assassinated. No one could tell her what had killed him and just as quickly as others had warmed up to her, they once again shunned her as well as her children. Many suspected her of killing her husband, the popular gossip being that she'd poisoned him.
Raine was in mourning. Just as she'd known the greatest happiness she'd felt in her life, having a complete family, it had all been taken away from her. People were unwelcoming not only towards her, but also her children. Her husband had been killed and no one looked for his killer. Her children no longer had a father and the normally confident Raine was unable to fill the void which had been left by him in their hearts. From then on, Raine dressed in mourning clothes and tried to keep her family together. A few days after her twenty-sixth birthday, she was also killed. She was in her bedroom, her tearless face buried in one of her deceased husband's suits which she'd laid out over his side of the bed.
She often took out an article of his clothing and would hold it to comfort herself. The room was spacious, the bed being opposite to a great fireplace and next to a very large window. The latch of her window lifted with a little clink, unlocking the windows. Raine didn't hear it, so absorbed in her grief as she attempted to self-soothe. The window opened in the middle and on the herb-occupied flower bed outside of the window a man appeared. He walked in and as his footsteps grew closer, Raine heard them and looked up. She saw a glimpse of the man, white teeth openly displayed in a wide, grim sort of smile before he vanished. The next thing she knew, her body was numb. Her eyesight was failing her and she was growing weaker at an alarming rate. Her world went black. She was discovered in the morning with blood dripping from her mouth, cold and without a pulse on the floor next to her husband's side of the bed.
Her body was removed for burial, children adopted by their grandparents. It was days later, after her body had been placed in the family tomb in a coffin next to her husband's. She opened her eyes and the lid from her coffin slid away effortlessly as if it weighed nothing. The man she'd seen before was standing next to her coffin, wearing a full suit of clothing combined with a mask in order to conceal his features. For ten long years, she was with this shy vampire. Detail would add to the length of this history, so I'll keep the end short. Roughly at the end of twelve years of existing as a vampire, she was finally able to check in on her family.
The vampire who had taught her and had turned her into one of his unpleasant kin was watching her. He caught her, sealed her into a coffin and proceeded to a location where he buried her far, far down into the ground. Raine was awake for a long time until she ran out of energy and then went into hibernation. Much of her tissue decomposed over time, but her bones never degraded. Just recently she's been unearthed by a group of people, which she later discovered were treasure hunters. Before she drained them, that is.
