~Bio: Elena DeLock was born Elena Truss is Russia in 1816. In 1829, at the age of 13, she was married to a man named Fyodor DeLock. Fyodor was a visiting nobleman from Spain , and needing to return to his duties in his home country, he quickly swept Elena away after the wedding. She never saw her family again.

At the age of 18, Elena found that she stopped maturing, forever to be stuck in a teenager's body. She was also devastated to find that she couldn't bear children. So in the hopes of keeping his immortal bride happy, Fyodor opened the school, allowing Elena to take care of as many children as she wishes. She guides them through rough spots in life with a unique perspective.

Five years ago, Fyodor mysteriously disappeared after the destruction of his vampire comrade, Daniel. It is believed that the Elder Vampires came after him for sheltering such a dangerous and violent monster. Especially amongst children. Rumour has it that Elena turned him over herself to protect her students.

~Bio: Born Ellie Lucille Friedmann in 1939 in Kraków, Poland. She was less than a year old when her parents were relocated to Plaszów. Her mother left her with a neighbour in the hopes that her little girl would escape the horrors of the Holocaust. The neighbor raised her as her own, teaching her the ways of healing that she had inherited from her own mother. In 1960, she went backpacking with friends throughout Europe, and met Elena as she was out scouting for new students. Elena recruited her to work at the Academy, and she has been there ever since. She has never been married, and does not have any children.

Bio: Played lead guitar in a band that was big for a long time, called “Black Dreams.” He claims that he merely had "gotten bored with it" but there is a much darker truth to the matter that he really doesn't like to discuss... When pressed, the most anyone gets out of him is that he didn't like the person he was becoming, losing his head to all of the fame and glory of it all.
Needless to say, he broke ties with them. After a very long, rough period of time where he was unable to find employment, Madame DeLock almost literally picked him up out of a gutter and gave him a place to live and work under the promise that he would remain for many long years and bring the joy of music to her school.
Since he began working for her, a lot has happened and he has finally found a place he feels like he may belong. Developing a still slightly questionable relationship with student-turned-teacher Victoria, and feeling far more pleased with seeing the budding talents of his students than he ever did in all the fame and sex and booze and money of his rock n roll days.

Bio: Victoria Bennet was born in Ipswich, England in 1984. She had a relatively normal childhood, and was very close to her older brother, Michael. Her father died of pneumonia when she was twelve, leaving her mother alone to take care of them. They moved to a small flat in London, where her mother took a job as a nurse, and Victoria continued school.
A few years later, just after her eighteenth birthday, she and her brother were attacked by a vampire outside a club. Michael was killed, but Victoria was turned. She met Madame DeLock a few years later. Madame DeLock got her in touch with someone who could help her come to terms with what she was, and then begged her to attend DeLock's Academy. She reluctantly agreed, and in the Fall, she went back to school to live her senior year all over again.
Over the course of her senior year, she miraculously became human again, and started a risky relationship with the music teacher, Galen. When Elena offered her a teaching job after graduation, she
jumped on the chance. DeLock's is her home now, and she couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

Bio: Tanner was born in 1987 in Albequerque, New Mexico. When he was seventeen, he and a few of his buddies went for a walk on the Indian reservation after dark on the full moon. Something they knew was forbidden.
They were attacked by what lookedlike a giant wolf. Tanner was the only one of four people who made it out of the desert. He didn't escape unscathed though, and walked away with several viscious bites and gashes. He went
from being outgoing, and full of humor to angry and withdrawn. He honed his power with Madame DeLock's aid, and can now turn at will, and control himself. On the full moon, however, he has no choice in the matter, and
cannot be controlled. His monthly forced transformation reminds him that rules were not made to be broken. He is now a stickler for the rules, and as a teacher, strictly enforces them.
He has never married, nor does he date. He is afraid that if he does, or if he falls in love, he will hurt the person he loves. And he can't bear the thought.

Bio: She never really paid attention to the details... Something about some distant ancestor, an invasion of rogue orcs, and somewhere in there a baby was made via the least pleasant of means. So in her veins, however diluted, runs the blood of a monster. That's all that mattered. The tusks protruded from her lower jaw, albeit small ones, were a constant reminder to her and a constant cause of grief and suffering and anger. She was scorned by all but her family and was moved from school to school too often to keep track of for a few years before her family finally moved to a remote area after her mother was beat to death in a dark alley. Thus, at the tender age of nine, she found herself in complete solitude. Only her two older brothers and her father-- wild and rough as they were-- to keep her company.

She may as well have been a savage beast for all the discipline she had. The males of her family would disappear for long periods of time, leaving her to fend for herself while they did god-only-knows-what. One day, they just didn't come back. (Many years later, she found that they had been caught slaughtering chickens on a nearby farm for fun and were killed.) She was alone for several years before a traveling monk happened upon her.

He took the half starved, barely civilized girl under his wing. Taught her how to behave properly and how to control the temper that would often flare up within her due to her aggressive orcish blood. He did most of this through the teachings of his native asian martial arts and religious beliefs. While she did not acquire the latter, she made great progress in learning to fit in amongst civilization and has developed a generally laid back and passive attitude. The main problem being that when she is pushed to anger, it explodes with a force that is not to be taken lightly.

Madame DeLock approached her not long ago, saying that Treasa's sensei had contacted her with information about this special case. At first the woman was skeptical and didn't seem to want to listen. But eventually she was swayed into visiting the campus, where she decided that she would stay. She insisted on having time to wrap up a few other things first, and has returned just this school year to take her position as the physical education teacher. Except for when she is in her private quarters, she always wears the scarf over her face to hide her tusks-- often to amused mutterings about her being a 'ninja' given the garb she feels more comfortable in.

Bio: Keeley was born in 1666, the youngest daughter of Aleksey Mikhailovich, or Tsar Alexis of Russia. She was born to a mistress, and hidden away until she was 17 years old. Her father decided to keep her with him, and allow her to be schooled. His wife, Maria Miloslavskaya was outraged, and put a price on her head. What Maria failed to take into account was that Keeley had been keeping company with a strange man named Damian, who had fallen madly in love with the young girl, and often had her drink his blood. When she was finally killed at the end of her 17th year, she came back with a vengeance, killing Maria and leaving her head in her father's bed for him to find. She fled Russia with Damian, and never returned. Damian was killed in Paris in 1887 by Gabriel VanHelsing, and Keeley has wandered ever since. Elena found her in Bucharest, Romania, where she was an active part of the nightlife. The idea of going back to school intrigued her, so here she is.

Bio: Mikael was born in Finland, and has been dreaming since he was old enough to remember of getting out to see the world. When he was in primary school, he was bullied a lot, due to being so small. His parents put him in martial arts classes,
and he quickly scaled the belts. He is now a 3rd Degree Black Belt, and was captain of both the judo club, and kendo clubs at his prior school. Mikael was expelled for fighting. He is hot-headed, rash, passionate, and energetic.

Bio: Zephyr was always a carefree kid. He had the easy life, with rich parents and everything he could ever want. He was in a very good, high class private school for most of his earliest childhood until his abilities (gender changing at will as well as somewhat limited flight/levitation powers) manifested when he was around ten years old. Being the fun-loving and open-minded person that he is even at that young of an age, he used those abilities to play tricks on his friends and family. His parents tolerated his foolish behavior and the trouble it got him into.

Right up until his father caught him making out with a boy at age sixteen... In female form or not, Zephyr's father was disgusted and irate that his son would disgrace him in such a manner. After a lengthy fight over whether the term 'gay' really applied to someone with his particular brand of ability-- something that his parents had tried very hard to keep a secret from everyone with stories about Zephyr's crazy cousin-- he was disowned and dropped of in the streets of a nearby city with no money and only the clothing on his back. He foraged for a while, managing to weasel his way into one of the young street gangs.

Needless to say, he was more than a little skeptical when Madame DeLock approached him and offered him a place at her school. But she managed to convince him to at least give it a try and that he could always return to this life if he really didn't want to stay at the school. He told her that was fine, but that the only condition he had was that his gender swapping ability was left a secret for him to disclose only to those he wished. After the way his parents treated him all those years, he had grown used to the idea of keeping it hidden... And besides, he said with a playful wink, it would be more fun that way.

Bio: Manami spent her entire life in her crystal clear lake in the forest. Slowly, though, the city crept closer and closer. By the time she was seven, her parents had died from the subtle shifts of pollution in their water. Manami was younger, more adaptable, so she survived. Living alone in her watery home, she slowly grew more ill as civilization drew ever closer and the pollution more present. The fish in her lake dying off and leaving her with almost nothing to eat. She was trapped in that place, starving but unable to die due to her magical nature. Then it was decided that the lake would be drained and filled along with the forest torn down to make room for more construction. She was found by a curious surveyor and secreted away to a place where at least the water was clean, even if it was in the form of a small inflatable swimming pool in the man's backyard.

She slowly began to regain her strength and learned to communicate via the human language as he kept her hidden from the world via high privacy fences and such. He would often just watch her swim and she would sing to him in her musical, almost siren-esque voice. He called her beautiful, spoke to her, would occasionally climb into the pool and swim with her. Hold her and touch her... She never quite understood why she disliked those moments...

The day that Elena DeLock showed up in the man's backyard while he was away, Manami was confused. She asked the woman questions, having not fully realized that there were others like the man, and especially not understanding that there were male and female having only seen him and a couple of his male coworkers on the day she was found. Madame DeLock had some questions of her own, which Manami answered truthfully and eagerly, for she had no concept of lying. That night, when the man arrived home, she watched uncertainly as he was bound and gagged and taken away. “I'd like you to come with me now, if you will allow it,” was all Elena had to say.

From then on, Manami has been a personal guest of a good friend of Madame DeLock's. She was taught many things about the world that the man never told her. She was clothed and taught how to produce a glamour to appear more human in order to allow her to move amongst the city freely if she desired. Once this friend decided she had sufficient knowledge of human society, etiquette, humility, etc... Manami was sent to the school. This will be her first year.
